Dighe - The Newest Station of Mumbai Suburban Railway | Airoli Kalva Elevated Link

- The upcoming newest suburban railway station of Mumbai Suburban Railways, to be Introduced on Central Railways’ Trans-Harbor Line, Between Thane and Airoli Station, near the Village Dighe on Thane Belapur Road is all set to be open for public anytime soon. The Station at Dighe is a Part of MRVC’s new Project of Linking Airoli to Kalva Via an Elevated corridor, under the Scheme MUTP-3. The New link would provide direct connectivity for the trains to run from Kalyan to Panvel, or Kalyan to Vashi, or even Kalyan to Uran in the upcoming future. The Project is divided into 2 Phases, where in the first phase includes the completion of New Railway Station at Dighe, and the 2nd stage would be adding up those elevated lines that would be connected to Kalva and further on the Mainline central railways.
The Railway station at Dighe includes a total number of 4 Platforms, in 2 Island platform layout, Each measuring 270m in length, and 12 meters in width. A Total of 5 Subways for porters, 6 Escalators, 2 Elevators would be available for passengers to use once operational. Toilets and Washrooms are located on the southern end of both sides of Station premises at ground level, ensuring no foul odor affects any passenger waiting on the platform. In future, depending on passenger requirements, another Toilet block might be constructed near the Station administration building on both sides. The ticket counter is situated near the Main entrances on both the sides. The Network Infrastructure for WiFi connectivity for passengers on platform is also being laid
The station is located just besides the Thane - Belapur road, providing a seamless connectivity to road transport as well. Ample parking space is available for 2-wheeler as well as 4-wheeler parking inside the station premises. This station would be providing connectivity to nearby locality of Dighe as well as many corporate offices in the near vicinity, and thus also helping to decongest Airoli as well as Thane.

It will take 10-15 years more for the phase 2 to be completed. Already stuck in land acquisition and railways is not fast in constructing elevated rail lines take for eg Kurla elevated PF.

Trans harbour line will get another terminal at Kalwa in future, and won’t go till Kalyan because of unavailablity of space and land acquisition as well as congestion on Mainline. If anyone wants to go from Kalyan-Dombivli to Airoli then he/she will have to change from Kalwa. Please make a note

I am daily traveller to this line my college is located in Ghansoli. I used to notice that tranformation and widening of railway lines but didn't know why this happening after watching your video i got to know that it will direct connect to kalyan. And thinked this will be very helpful for people going bhiwandi can easily take metro from kalyan. No need to wait for buses and traffic.

I am guessing They have the plan to decongest Kalyan too... Thane and Kalyan since both these stations serve on long-distance and suburban trains they get crowded.

The station just after this Airoli -Panvel,Airoli-Vashi Are Standard station which are build by CIDCO, gives feel like you are traveling in foreign country.

Please Note.. Doghe Between Thane and Airoli is not part of Mumbai Subarban.. it's part of Navi Mumbai.
Mumbai Suburban RAIL NETWORK.
The rail network is not different for different cities. The station does fall in jurisdiction of NMMC, but Rail Network is called Mumbai Suburban Rail Network that stretches upto Kasara, Khopoli, Dahanu as well as Panvel and Uran.
City wise we have numerous cities like Thane, Navi Mumbai, Mira Bhayandar, Vasai Virar, Karjat, Boisar.
To ab har city ka alag Suburban to nahi bologe single network ko, wahi point.
Why old trains are running in trans harbor they are not good their lights fans in the train are not working have become old , railway should add new bombardier emus on trans harbour line

Although i knew most of the details about this station the only thing which is still bothering me is operational of this station.. It was planned to open in Jan2023 but its been delayed by 3months now.. hoping to open soon after watching your video.. and thanks for informative video

Trains won't go till Kalyan rather it will terminate at elevated Kalva terminus due to space constrains. Also, one major reason is train alignment which also get reversed once a train take a turn towards Kalva just like train's alignment changes post Turbhe till Vashi. So it would create problems between the commuters and won't allow smooth commute....

@@jugalpatel2622 misalignment in the form where the coach's nomenclature or position of Mumbai locals are such where first ladies coach is towards CSMT side but when train takes a turn towards Kalva from Digha these ladies coach shifts towards Kalyan side and train gets reversed thus the alignment of each coach
