Yeah honestly, for something primarily made to fight odors, it does a surprisingly good job as a plain insole too.

My Dan Post Storm series boots, insoles disintegrated in a couple weeks. That quick. Ariat insoles now live in there and have for a long time now. I do like these leather insoles too. With arthritis in my right foot I find the smoothness helps my foot move as it needs to and is more comfortable as a result. Think I'll have to try those Chisos

I checked out all of the insole sellers sites except for Nobleman's Apothecary.
Insoles from Escambia are available in sizes 5 through 13.
Ariat ATS insoles are available sizes 7 to 14 in round toe and 7 to 15 in square toe at Yeehawboots.
The all leather insoles from Nobleman's Apothecary appeal to me. It would be nice if you could order custom insoles. I might look into that in the future.
At the time that I viewed this video the Chisos snip toe insoles were available in size 7 through 12.5 and 14. It looks like they do, however, make sizes 13 and 15. Half sizes were listed for 7.5 through 12.5 and seem to stop at size 13 (not unusual). The square toes were sold out except for size 15. The No.1 round toe and the No. 6 round toe were both sold out.
I watched a Chisos video that suggested something that I have found helpful. If you need to really add more padding and use up some of the space in your boots, you can add a smaller, flatter insole on the bottom layer. Then place a larger, thicker insole like the Chisos on top. I had been making the mistake of putting the larger insole on the bottom and the smaller one on top.
The instep on my left foot is very high and I can't wear most boots that are my true length (12.5 on my right foot and 13.5 on my left). I end up buying size 14 because of the higher instep and greater width. As a result, most of my boots require added insoles.
It seems like the best solution for me to stop all the insole nonsense is to buy traditionally made, custom boots that fit properly. 🙂

I've been struggling with this a bit. In a couple pairs, everything fits but the instep is too big. Ariat ATS footbeds work great in one pair, but the front gel pad just plain feels weird. Looking into making my own, certainly gonna take some experimentation. Seems like the trick is getting the thickness you need, where you need it, while not taking up too much room in the toe box and not raising your heel too high to ruin the geometry of that part of the boot.

I must say the Chisos insoles are terrific.
I have a pair of Heritage Boots on order (on a waiting list) and I’m wondering if I should order with the intention of putting in those insoles. I’ve never worn Heritage Boots, so just not sure.
If you have an idea - or anyone watching this that’s worn Chisos and Heritage Boots I’d appreciate the input.
I wear an 11 in Chisos but the ladies at Heritage suggested I order a 10 1/2. I wonder if I put in a Chisos insole will the Heritage be too small? Or
Those that have Heritage- is an insole needed?

Do any or all of these Insoles make it harder to put the boot on? I just received my first pair of cowboy boots. Tecovas THE WYATT OSTRICH - full quill - Pecan - 11E. Not knowing how they should really fit, they feel a touch loose. I was wondering if I should try for a little more comfort and “constriction”??? Thanks for this intuitive video.

I got a pair of Dan Post boots on the web for a killer deal, I ordered them in my size EE (which I usually am) but they feel a bit too loose around the instep. They come with an insole already but I threw another pair I had in them and they seem to fit more snug.
