Bishop in the NT just means overseer. There is no office of priest (hiereus) in the NT church. The function of a priest to offer sacrifices for sin and to act as mediator between God and man. It is not appropriate to the new covenant.

Paul describes his ministry as a "priestly service" (Romans 15:16-17) and the sacrificial system of Leviticus is described throughout Ephesians with reference to the work of the New Covenant ministers (concentrated in Ephesians 4-5).
