@@TorahKeeperRuachSeeker7 It's deeper than that..85% of the Bible was written by Jews for Jews. I just learned how to rightly divide the word of truth, past, present, and future. Some books in the new testament are describing what happened in the old testament under the law. Never mix law with grace or you will have neither. I appreciate how respectfully you responded to the video, unlike many others who choose to make it personal. However, I disagree with your final statement, which seems to undo all the good work you put into responding to his video.
Have you considered that you might be wrong? And if you are wrong, are you prepared to face the consequences of persuading people away from the truth-if, indeed, Ron was called by our Father to preach the truth? Be careful about labeling someone a false teacher or a cult leader. Remember that the apostles were also labeled the same by the Pharisees, who were the leaders of the church (assembly) of YHWH.
The Way, which you try to defend as being one and the same as Christianity, was once called a cult, and Paul was considered its cult leader. Consider this: most people who call themselves Christians bear no fruit worthy of the person they claim to follow.
You recognize a tree by its fruits; if the fruits are bad, there must be something wrong with the tree. Also, the path to life is narrow, and few find it, but wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
I think every Christian should test their faith. The focus should be YHWH and His Son and not some religion, because the truth is, no religion is without its flaws.
I think Mr. Ron, although not perfect in his approach, is trying to get people to realize this and encourage them to bear fruit.

That's a fair warning, e17. Thanks. I take the admonition in James 3:1 very seriously. (It scares the tar out of me if I'm honest!)
You said, "Most people who call themselves Christians bear no fruit worthy of the person they claim to follow." That may be true. Jesus warned as much in Matt 7:21-23. And I would argue that the proper response to that sobering possibility is for each individual believer to test their own faith rather than throwing out Christianity as a whole. We can't judge a belief system based on those who get it wrong. Moreover, we aren't called to follow other Christians but to follow Christ Himself.
      Shalom,
      Rob

    • @e17media
      @e17media Месяц назад +1

@TheBiblicalRoots Let’s say, a couple of brothers and I decide to quit Christianity-that is, unsubscribe from the way of worship or service known as Christianity today. Instead, we decide to follow the Messiah diligently, to the best of our ability (understanding that no one can claim to follow perfectly), and choose instead to be called disciples of Yeshua the Messiah, also known as Jesus Christ.
We then meet someone, Mister X, who inquires about our religion. We explain that we do not subscribe to any religion but call ourselves people of the Way. We believe the Bible is the true word of God, and we call Him Yah and Father. We advocate a return to the original apostolic teachings, which is called the Way-a branch of what was Judaism at the time Yeshua walked the earth.
We obey the commandments, including remembering the Sabbath and celebrating the feasts of Yah our Father, and we do so in light of Yeshua's life, death, and resurrection. This means we do not see these practices as a way to acquire righteousness but as a result of the righteousness imputed to us by the Messiah.
You know where I am heading with this-and no, we do not want to be associated with the Hebrew Israelite movement. We are simply disciples seeking to serve the Father.
Now, let’s say we get some part of Christianity’s history wrong. Perhaps our understanding of the origin of the word “Christianity” is incorrect. Would you still consider us a cult to avoid? On what basis?
Look, I do like Mr. Ron’s videos. While I do not always agree with him, there are many points he raises that we all need to consider. No one is perfect, but we all try our best, and we should be judged with that in mind.
It’s with this very rod that I judge your videos too. And you, too, do not get everything right-remember that. Nevertheless, I can see you try your best to be polite and loving, and that is something to commend you on. Remainn blessed!

Ron seems to be throwing out the baby with the bathwater. I understand his frustration-much of what we see in modern Christianity is built upon human traditions rather than firmly rooted in Christ, our true foundation. In that sense, I can see why he takes issue with it.
However, to claim that the entirety of Christianity is wrong while he alone holds the truth is not only a bold assertion but also a dangerous one. Scripture warns us against pride and self-righteousness, reminding us that wisdom comes with humility (Proverbs 11:2). If Ron is genuinely seeking truth, he must take a step back and prayerfully examine his own heart. Is his zeal driven by a desire to glorify God, or is it fueled by personal certainty that he alone sees what others do not?
Instead of rejecting Christianity outright, I urge Ron to consider a more measured approach-one that allows for discernment without falling into the trap of spiritual elitism. True faith is not found in tearing down but in building up the body of Christ in love and truth (Ephesians 4:15).

I am thankful for this dialogue between those who believe in keeping the Torah as well as believing in Messiah and those who assert that the Torah has been "done away with". We need this dialogue because there is error on all sides. I think this is helping us to expose the errors, research the truth and straighten all of these things out.
One thing we must do is to stop automatically calling something a cult without taking the time to do critical analysis, thorough research, and humble ourselves to accept that we can be wrong about some things. Then we must be willing to make an adjustment, correct ourselves. Call out the lies, accept what is true, and do it with love and class. Don't be so egotistical that we refuse to even have an intelligent discussion. PRAY!!! And don't assume that the Church fathers were right about everything. Verify their writings by the Scriptures. And remember there was no New Testament written right away. They only had the Old Testament back in even the times of the Apostles.
In the same token we have to make sure that we understand the difference between translations of languages, how their meanings can be the same even in a different language, without the term being inherently evil, and proclaiming that a term (ie: Christianity) must be wrong simply because it's from another language. Nobody has proven to me, yet that the word "Christian" itself, is wrong. I think when Paul talked about the "wolves" that would come in, it alluded to what happened to "Christianity" and how it has been made to look bad over the centuries. Which could be why people question the term. I could be wrong. But at least I am willing to search it out, instead of assuming that I am right about something simply because I have a bias. Heck, all of us believe that the way we believe is the right way. But I see problems with how both of you interpreted Biblical text. I also saw where you both interpreted some Biblical texts with accuracy.
Proper reading comprehension has been largely lacking in all areas of the faith and in all belief systems. We gotta tighten things up and stop operating with our pride and operate in real truth. Did you know that in the book of Acts 11: 26 it says: “ they were first called Christians in Antioch” but previous to that in the same book of Acts it says that they were called believers of the way. And then later throughout the book of Acts when Paul speaks of the new converts, he calls them believers and believers of the way . so I am of the opinion that was a term coming from what is known now as a Catholic Church and Greco-Roman influence. 🙏❤

The Bible says the followers of Jesus were called Christians.
26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers of people; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
28 Agrippa replied to Paul, “In a short time you are going to persuade me to make a Christian of myself.”
16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.
Funny how Emperor Trajan hated Christians. He believed that being a Christian was something evil and repulsive. Under persecution Christians were ordered to denounce acknowledgement of holding to that name but you guys are willing to give up being called a Christian without any persecution 😂
Emperor Trajan. In reply to Pliny’s letter, Emperor Trajan gives the following guidelines for punishing Christians:
No search should be made for these people; when they are denounced and found guilty they must be punished; with the restriction, however, that when the party denies himself to be a Christian, and shall give proof that he is not (that is, by adoring our gods) he shall be pardoned on the ground of repentance, even though he may have formerly incurred suspicion. [ibid., 10:97]
I guess Ron Charles of Truthunedited is now your Emperor Trajan who has caused you to stop calling yourself Christians but yet without having to persecute you 😂.

Problem with Ron @truthunedited is he says the term Christian was a derogatory term from the Jews to the Greek/Roman Jews. However, if one was to research, there is no definitive that this was used negatively. If you read the Cepher that he likes to read from & take for e.g. 1 Peter 4:16 where Peter says “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian”, the Cepher says “Yet if any man suffer as a *Mashiachi*, when translated to Greek, it means Christian.
His followers also do not carry out their own research and simply tune in to be spoon fed by him and they defend him rather than research & challenge him. Very unfortunate situation.
As for him, he spends ages defending himself against those who challenges him, calling them out with the M Div & Greek Theology & he seems to get very upset. He also come across very condescending; guess it’s his pride?
Nevertheless, we must pray for them all, that the scales be removed from their eyes.

Nor, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Mormon, Apostolic, Catholic, Episcopalian, Seven Day Adventist, Jehovahs Witness etc... We are to be holy and followers of Jesus Christ. We are commanded to repent, be Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, sin no more and to keep the Holy Days. Everything else these religions do can be considered, Traditions of Men.

In the book of act chapter 11, verse 26 it says, they were first called Christians in Antioch. But if you read previous to that in the same book, they were called believers of the way or followers. And also, Paul always called them believers of the way even after Acts chapter 11.

These facts in themselves give proof that Christ mass is based on a fallacy. The celebration of JC birthday was placed on the date of the pre existing feast of Saturnalia. Which was a Pagan holiday that the heathens of Rome loved dearly and refused to give up, by the Catholic Church father's as a ploy to convert the heathens to follow Christ. And Easter is a conglomeration of nonsense based mostly on the worship of the ancient deity of Eshtar. Sorry, to burst your bubble but, you forced me by assuming that I am ignorant.

There no such a thing in the Scriptures that there is spiritual Israel. Who bewitched? I beseech you to repent from such ideologies and phylosophies of man. Genesis 15:5,13; and He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to count them." And He said him, "So are your seed." 13. And He said to Abram, "Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years. This is physical Israel and no spiritual Israel. If you think Romans 4 qualifies you to be spiritual Israel, be warned that is not what the Scripture is saying. Let the Word of Aluah (God) be pure and reject man's opinion. Romans 4:15 The Ten Commandments show what sin is, and for those who break them, they will receive the wrath of Aluah (God). For those who have faith in Aluah (God) and obey the Ten Commandments, then there is no violation. Therefore, the law is not against them. Do you even understand who brother Shaul (Paul) was? Galatians 4 is still not talking about Spiritual Israel, Brother Shaul said Gal 4:31 "Therefore, my brothers and sisters, we are children of the free woman and not of the servant woman." This is very clear: Sharah (Sarah) is the free woman in the context that born a spiritual child Yitsahaq (Isaac) and the servant woman is Ahgar (Hagar) where Ishmael came from. We have fairly early translations of the New Testament Peshitta dated to the 5th century CE, but all of the earliest MSS were in Koine Greek. No suggestion that the foundation is wrong, only that man in his wisdom challenges the foundation with the words "Yea hath God said". If man (including Jesus himself) does not live by bread alone, but by *every* word that proceeds from the mouth (one mouth, one person, one voice) of God, why change the words? "The son of God" is referred to 44 times in the New Testament, "God the son" zero times.
Did God really say: "This is my beloved "God (the son)" in whom I (one person) am well pleased. Jesus is the beloved son OF God - a statement of fact, not "God the Son" a title to qualify which person of a Triune diety is being referred to.

OK Rob, you spent the first two minutes of this video chastising Ron for arbitrarily changing the definition of a word, and how that causes, "chaos and confusion" and then in the comments you do what you're accusing him of with your use of the word, "Christmas."
You haven't responded yet, and in light of your, "Ugly" analogy, I'm reposting our conversation so it's top of mind. Here it is:
YOU SAID: You may be correct as far as the etymology of the word "Christmas,"['mass' means Eucharist] Johnny. But the definition of that word says nothing about the Eucharist. The English word "Christmas" simply means "a Christian feast on December 25 or among some Eastern Orthodox Christians on January 7 that commemorates the birth of Christ and is usually observed as a legal holiday." Rob
I REPLIED: Exactly. You proved Ron's point about how even our language around Christianity has been corrupted, as well as my point about how you are doing what you accused Ron of doing - changing the definition of a word...You said, "Christmas is definitely in the Bible."And that "Christmas" means, "a Christian feast on December 25 or among some Eastern Orthodox Christians on January 7 that commemorates the birth of Christ and is usually observed as a legal holiday."
So, if someone chose just to trust you and not look up the verses referenced, they would assume that those verses showed:
    - A feast.
    - A mention of Dec 25th or Jan 7th (or any corresponding ancient calendar dates).
    - A COMMEMORATION of the birth of Christ. And,
    - A legal holiday.
They would be mistaken. By the common definition of Christmas you provided, you said these things DEFINITELY are in the Bible...and NONE of them are.
Similarly, they don't speak of what I suggested ("mass"), as none of the verses demonstrate the Eucharist either.
Since both of those things (Christ-mass and modern definition) have been put in place since the NT, and neither are supported by Scripture - yet you claimed they were - isn't it obvious that when you say, "Christmas is definitely in the Bible," your pre-programmed indoctrination has given you a lens that makes you see things that aren't there? This, in turn, causes you to give an inaccurate and misleading label ('Christmas') that doesn't apply. It's either that, or your lying - hoping no one would check...and I doubt that's the case.
To be clear, I'm not trying to debate whether Believers should celebrate "Christmas." I'm just not sure why it's so hard to admit that over 2000 years "Christianity" has been impacted by outside forces (including Greek philosophy). When we can so easily see how you (and others) can read verses about Jesus birth and call that "Christmas," even though NONE of the meanings you or I provided define "Christmas" to mean, "Jesus' birth," it shows that we have, indeed, been indoctrinated into thinking the Bible says things that it really doesn't say.
Isn't it possible (likely) that Greek philosophy played at least some part in this indoctrination?
And, isn't possible, that, like we have a distorted view of "Christmas," we may also have a distorted view of "Christian"?
Maybe Ron's video deserves a second listen with an open mind.

    • @TheBiblicalRoots
      @TheBiblicalRoots  24 дня назад +1

Thanks, Johnny. I didn't see your response. When I said "Christmas" is in the Bible, I meant the anticipation and celebration of the birth of the Messiah is in the Bible. Do you disagree?
Greek language and thinking absolutely has impacted Christianity! All of the NT writers, and Jesus Himself, lived in a Hellenized world and spoke at least some Greek. (It was necessary in daily life when communicating with people from other cultures or areas.) This is why the apostle Paul often used the term Ἕλλην (Hellēn, "Greek") as a metonym for _all_ Gentiles. It's why the NT was written in Greek instead of Aramaic; the writers wanted the whole world to understand the Gospel, not just Jews. We even see examples of Greek linear logic in some NT passages (Rom. 8:28-30, James 1:14-15, Heb. 3:7-4:11, etc.)
So, has Greek language and thinking impacted Christianity? Yes. Has it corrupted it? Not at all. We don't worship Greek gods! And if Greek influence is something that the early church and Holy Scripture openly adopted for the purposes of the Gospel, why would we ever think it's wrong? In fact, this is one huge reason why Ron is way off-base in his teaching that we somehow need to become "Israelites." Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all nations, not to become one nation. That's not what the kingdom of God looks like.
"I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, *_from every nation, tribe, people and language,_* standing before the throne and before the Lamb." (Rev. 7:9)
      Rob

      @JohnnyCash-o6i 24 дня назад +1

@@TheBiblicalRoots Thanks for your response, Ron!
      1. Christmas. The fact that, you say you meant something other than the dictionary definition of Christmas (which you earlier provided) means that you did it again. You deviated from the dictionary meaning of Christmas and assigned your own meaning. As you said in your video, "Words mean something...and changing definitions create confusion and chaos."
      To answer your question:
Do I see the anticipation and celebration of the birth of the Messiah? Yes.
But, Do I see "Christmas" ("a Christian feast on December 25 or among some Eastern Orthodox Christians on January 7 that commemorates the birth of Christ and is usually observed as a legal holiday.")? NO.
You tried a bait and switch. You baited me to agree to seeing the anticipation and celebration of Jesus' birth, but then you'd switch the definition, hoping to prove that I had agreed to "Christmas." It's your "ugly" analogy all over again.
      2. Greek Impact. You agreed Greek philosophy impacted Christianity, great! , Maybe I can help you understand what (I think) Ron is saying by using our trusty dictionary...
I'm sure you'd agree that the Bible is perfect ("complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement"). So, Jesus, Paul, James, John, Peter, etc., gave us the perfect Christian doctrine (if not, then we couldn't trust their words in the NT...their words ARE the NT).

From there, we agreed, Christianity was impacted by Greeks. The dictionary states that "impacted" means, "to have an effect on; influence; alter."
Impacted can be positive, negative, or neutral; but, because we're dealing with a prior state of perfection, "impacted" MUST be negative, because if you impact something that is perfect, it is now imperfect...it is "corrupted" ("to destroy the integrity of, to mar or taint").
By definition, IMPACTING PERFECTION CORRUPTS PERFECTION.
      [sorry for all caps, I can't bold :( ]
For you to be correct that Christianity was impacted, but NOT corrupted; you would have to believe that the doctrine taught by Jesus, Paul, etc. was not initially perfect, thus impacting (altering) it could be positive or neutral...and I don't think you do.
      Summary:
By definition: Impacted perfection = corrupted perfection.
Therefore: Impacting Christian doctrine (perfection) = corrupted Christian doctrine.
Conclusion: Corrupted Christian doctrine = corrupted Christianity.
[and, yes, I agree with you that there is a place for logic]
      3. ONE nation. Another "Ugly" situation. To prove that "we're not to become one nation," you quoted Rev 7:9: they came "FROM every nation." In doing so, you've implicitly changed the definition of "from" ("to designate a starting point") to something like, "currently are a citizen of."
The verse says they're "starting point" was every nation, not that they're "currently a citizen of" every nation. So, do they remain a member of "every nation"?
1 Peter 2:9: "But you are...A [singular] holy NATION [singular].
It's like going to a Citizenship Ceremony: Coming in, the people were FROM every nation, but afterwards, they're all citizens of THE SAME nation.
If that ONE nation before the throne isn't Israel, what is it?
There are several verses that could be used, but maybe Rev. 21:12 is a clue: In New Jerusalem, the names of the 12 tribes of ISRAEL will be over the gates.
      Thank you for your consideration.

This might surprise you, but I don't enjoy arguing for the sake of arguing. I noticed that all three of your responses are an exercise in hyper-literalism and seem intended as a "gotcha" rather than a genuine attempt to understand me. That's disappointing.
      1. It's not a bait and switch, but I'm okay if you want to believe that.
      2. The NT is the inspired word of God, and He ordained that it should be written in the language of Greek in the time of the Hellenized Roman Empire. So, Greek did not "corrupt" Christianity, it is the language and culture in which God determined the Messiah would appear, and out of which the New Testament should be written.
      3. The kingdom of God is not a _political_ nation. It is a diversity of human beings from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue who all find unity in their faith in Christ. Gentiles are not required to become Hebrews or Israelites (or whatever word you want to use) when they come to faith (Rom. 3:29-30; 1 Cor. 7:17-24, 12:13; Gal. 3:26-29; Col. 3:11).

    Rom6:14 says this
"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."
It appears there is no law to guide the believer.
But Rom7:22 talks about the law of God working in the soul (inward man).
    Rom7:22-
"For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:"
Rom7:24-Rom8:2 clarified this law of God in the believer's mind is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
Also, the law in the flesh is the law of sin and death.
    Rom7:24- 8:1-2 says this
"I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Both of these laws draw from the Torah. But does the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus have the entire Torah as its scope and goal?
There is evidence to consider that the answer is no. Acts15:28-29 offers the leading of the Holy Spirit among the apostles concerning the Scope of the Torah among the Gentiles.
    Acts15:28-29
    "For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well."
Later in 1 Cor8, the apostle Paul clarified that eating food offered to idols is acceptable but instructed to refrain if it stumbles the faith of others. 1Cor8:13 says this
"Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend."
Apart from the Scope of abstaining from fornication, from blood and strangled things, some warnings draw from the commandments from the Torah that are within the scope of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
    For example
    1. The two burden bearings of Gal6:2-7 are that God is not mocked if we are indifferent.
    Gal6:2-7
"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
For every man shall bear his own burden.

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
    2. The warnings of Gal6:19-21 (similar warnings are repeated in 1Cor6:8-11, Rev22:15 and Eph5
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
    3. The sins of idolatry defined by Col3:5-6
"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:"
What about the Sabbath rest of the believer? Heb4 clarify this rest is obtained from belief.
    Heb4:11 says this
"Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
This unbelief is their failure to believe in Yah's faithfulness to the promise of the Promised Land. Heb11:16 and Heb11:35 reveal the promises of Yah of a better heavenly country and better resurrection. These promises are the believer's hope till their death, not received. Heb11:39-40 says this
"And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect".
As believers, our Sabbath rest is the preoccupation (by faith) in the hope of a better heavenly country and better resurrection.
Apart from Gal6:2-7 of things to do, 2Pet1:3-10 has detailed the list of things to do to ensure our calling and election.
    2Pet1:3-10
"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

    And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
    And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:"
What is my position about the physical Sabbath rest, the feast days and keeping the whole Torah?
    The instructions given in Gal6:2-7,
warnings given in Gal6:19-21, 1Cor6:8-11, Rev22:15, Col3:5-6, and to make my calling and election sure of 2Pet1 by following the leading of the Holy Spirit to obey the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus would already overflow my spiritual plate.
Based on Acts15:28-29, and appreciating the scope of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, I ask Yah as per 1Jhn1:9 to forgive me for not observing the Sabbath rest, the feast days, eating kosher, and other commandments of the Torah that are not clarified as a focus and priority in the New Testament.

    Hello Mr Solberg,
I haven't had a reply from you. I assume it may have been lost in the pile of comments you get.
As I said originally when I reached out:
"I have been watching Truthunedited and watched your video here. If I could show you where there is a disconnect between what you are understanding Ron Charles is saying, to what he actually is sharing, would you listen? It will take effort and prayer on both our parts. But I will commit to it if you will?"
You mention that you would definitely be opened to this because "you wanted to understand Ron as accurately as I can" and wanted to know what I noticed as the disconnect.
Here is my earlier response from a few days ago, detailing what I see as the disconnect:
"The stated mission of your ministry is to help people find the truth of the Bible. Like you said at 10:29, we need to play like a team, and not just dismiss what he says out of hand. But as I said in a previous comment, it seems as though there is a disconnect from what he shared in his series and what you think he said.
The first disconnect I see is that Ron made the claim that the theology of Christianity has been (unknowingly) corrupted by Greek philosophy. He cited the use of the word, “Christian” as evidence of this. Whether this is a symptom of Syncretism as he claimed, or purely a translation situation as you said it is, your side of the debate would hold more weight if you showed that you understood Ron’s point that Hellenization was, indeed, taking place...something you seemed unwilling to do.
An example of how you wrongly disregarded Hellenization came from something Ron said in Part 7. From 10:55 to the 30 minute mark, Ron talks about a messianic themed god, Serapis. On the other hand, you said that “the Greek culture had no concept of an anointed one, Greek messiah or pagan messiah. That is a uniquely Jewish concept” (36:01). A quick Google search, however, verifies Ron's claim. Considering this is such a foundational part of his argument, this is a huge disconnect. Especially since you stated that you “studied his video” (9:29), I'm not sure how you could so easily dismiss his claim. Whether you overlooked this fact or hid it because it hurt your position I don't know, but this lack of accuracy on your part seems to indicate that you went into it with bias, and without being open to understand (let alone agree), which is perhaps why you seemed to have missed the entire point of this video series.
The second disconnect I see is that Ron claims that there is one culture in the Bible and that this culture was not supposed to allow other cultures to corrupt and mix outside beliefs and ways into this culture. In response, you said he was incorrect because “the Bible explicitly teaches that the gospel of Jesus is for all nations and all people not just for the Jews” (29:16). Here's what I see as the disconnect: Ron meant it was written to (Hebrew) people describing how they should live if they want to follow Him. Yes, the offer to follow him is open to everyone (as you stated), BUT, if you choose to follow, you can't follow in your way, according to your traditions or your cultures, you still have to follow HIS way. In other words, you come to Him and His ways; He doesn't come to you and your ways.
The third major example of disconnect happened at 34:59. You stated that Ron is “promoting Judaism rather than the way of Jesus." Yes, as you clearly point out, the Jewish leaders were also a force fighting against “the way" - a point I'm sure Ron would whole-heartedly agree with; but the disconnect is that Ron never said - or implied - we are to join Judaism. This is a very big misunderstanding. People in “The Way,” as Ron described it, were not following Jewish leaders...they were followers of Yahusha (Jesus) who were keeping the commandments given by Yahuah (God the Father). Believing in Jesus as our Salvation and obeying the commandments of the Father does NOT promote Judaism. By concluding that Ron was promoting Judaism, you demonstrated another large disconnect from what was shared to what you understood him to have said.
We all agree that the Bible is the Truth, and I think what he's trying to get us to be aware of is that since it was first written, there have been outside forces trying to corrupt what and how we understand it. He brings to light some incredible evidence of Greek Philosophy that has heavily influenced the Christian church fathers and, in turn, what we believe today. We can debate how these forces manifest themselves, but it would be a mistake to ignore that they exist...or to try to discredit someone who is trying to bring to light a very real danger without even comprehending what he actually said."

In order for Deuteronomy 28 will work to fit the transatlantic slave trade is with selective eisegesis of that passage. For example Egypt cannot be practical and figurative at the same time it’s either or.
The transatlantic slave trade has nothing to do with Deut 28.
Are their Hebrews that are black, absolutely they are Jews from every race after being scattered and also from mix multitude coming out of Egypt.
Thirdly that concept would mean God is a Liar, and he is not sovereign of all powerful, because he promised to bring his people back into Jerusalem (their homeland)and would keep them even in them being separated,so no Jew is confused as to who they are or are ignorant of who their God is.
So this entire Hebrew Israelitism is powerless in the fact that none of these people making these claim have any desire to go back to their homeland, nor is their so called god bringing them back like he said he would.
The final nail in the coffin is God is bringing others back into the land that have their roots in the faith.
So standing on a street corner cursing people and Hating people of a different race carries no weight in what someone claims.
For the Record I am black, from the Caribbean, and that’s a whole other topic that destroys one west -2 tribes chart.
What they claim does not line up with truth and reality to those who know the truth.
This what people do when they don’t want to receive Christ and inherit their identity in him as The Son of God.
They are now left to hijack a culture to exhale themselves above others, which will not get anyone into the Kingdom of God.

Secondly are you intentionally disregarding the history of the Greeks and the integration of Greek culture and spirituality into Americas culture, which modern day Christians often unknowingly play big parts in. Thirdly if you are genuinely unaware he hasn’t denounced being a Christian or a follower of Christ, he’s highlighting the difference between following Christ and the religion of Christianity, which subtly but frequently opposes “The Way” that Christ lived, by blatantly rejecting the law that He Walked In. The most common English word to describe Christ's followers is "Christian." And the Bible says there is no shame in being called by that name. In fact, the apostle Peter said, "If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name" (1 Pet. 4:16). There's no shame in being called a "Christian," so why waste our time stressing over it? Let's instead spend our time loving God and loving people (Matt 22:36-40).

First of all there never was a Greek god named Jesus. There is no historical record that supports Jesus as a Greek god that was worshiped. Jesus is an English rendering of Iesous in Koine Greek. In Hebrew it would be Y'shua or some people would say Yashua. It could be either one. In Greek there is no y or sh sound. That's why it comes out as Iesous in Greek. Also, Iesous has nothing to do with Zeus despite what many have insinuated because Zeus is spelled with a zeta (z sound) not a sigma (s sound). I started reading Koine Greek about 30 years ago and later Hebrew 8 or 9 years ago. It's a myth that Iesous has any thing to with the Greek god Zeus.

“Whoever transgresses and does NOT abide in the doctrine of Christ does NOT have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does NOT bring this doctrine, do NOT receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”

The doctrine of Christ is His Father's doctrine. He tells us this over and over again, we can start in John 12:44-50. He speaks what his Father commands Him to speak. It is his Father's message he is bringing to the Jews and then to the gentiles... Because the pharisees needed correcting they have wandered into their own actions/interpretations claiming still to follow God. And to let the nations know that the renewed covenant is for anyone who believes his message.
Just like in the exodus from Egypt, anyone who believed and followed Moses out was considered God's people and was expected to obey His commands.

And before you say Christ's doctrine is free grace, know that, that has always been offered Deut 4:29-
The Messiah coming in the flesh was a fulfilled prophecy even though it was misunderstood at the time and they were expecting the king and the kingdom then. We know it comes at the 1st resurrection.

You said somewhere in the middle of your video that christians are called to be followers of "jesus" correct?
Ok well. Did jesus keep the commandments? Of course he did so why dont christians?
    2. "Jesus" is "god" right? so all throughout the books of John, GOD says to keep his commandments. John 14:15, John 15:10, 1 John 5:3. John 14:21, and 1st John 2:4-6 in this last one he actually says those who dont keep his commandments dont know/love him and are LIARS.
So tell me followers of jesus why do you not follow what jesus says?

    • @TheBiblicalRoots
      @TheBiblicalRoots  Месяц назад +2

Hi, Brian. I teach and believe that obedience to God is of utmost importance for believers. We are to submit to His authority over our lives. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
I’m sure you would agree that not every command God has given applies to every person at all times. Some only apply to certain people (i.e., men, women, parents, Levitical priests) or at certain times (i.e., building an ark, gathering manna, while in exile). And I’m sure you would also agree that we are each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us.
The NT expressly teaches that many of the commands given under the Old Covenant Law do not apply to Christians today. (ex. Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required (Heb 10:18).) We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). And “If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law: (Gal. 5:18).
      Blessings,
      Rob

Is this a salvation issue or just testing the possibility of the origins (Church fathers influence) of Christianity being tainted by Greek philosophy? If it was tainted and how we think we know how The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are related is more complex than we could ever know, are we in danger of not being saved? (I don’t believe so since we believe in Jesus Christ/Yahusha Ha’Machiach and accept the Gospel of our salvation-despite how we view the Trinity) Is this just our flesh desiring to one up each other? I’d say not, that we honestly desire to worship in Spirit and in Truth. God is Spirit and Jesus is The Truth, Way and The Life, for starters. Do I need to investigate this even if we may have been duped all this time by vain philosophy and deceit?

I think for me it started with the flat earth narrative. Then I noticed he stopped speaking about the gospel as he used to when he first started his channel. Now he’s completely teaching heresy.
You made a great point when you spoke about how we must fellowship with other believers because when you’re by yourself you are alone with a sinner. @BillH-l3c Why do you hate to tell us what any bible reading, believing Christian understands fully? Is it because we believe that showing love to our brothers is by showing them their error when they read scripture out of context? What's more important than having a true understanding of God's word so we can understand how we come to practice righteousness. Is it by our own sinful weak abilities or is it the righteousness that lives in us once we become children of God?
Let's read in context so we can fully understand.
      1 John 3:9-10
"No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.
By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother."
So no one who is born of God will practice sinning. How are we born of God? Well in 1 John 5:1-4 we read:
👉"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. 👉And his commandments are not burdensome.‼

@BillH-l3c Since I just explained how we are born of God (1 John 3:9-10) and that the victory over sin is by having FAITH and believing in Jesus Christ, then we should know what it means from the following passages, how we enter into God's rest.
      Hebrews 1:1-11
"Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it.👉 For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, 👉since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.
Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said:
“So I swore on oath in My anger,
‘They shall never enter My rest.’ ”
And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world. For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”And again, as He says in the passage above: “They shall never enter My rest.”
👉"Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience, God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David as was just stated:👉 “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience."
"The Sabbath in the Old Testament was a symbol of the Sabbath that came later. It is not a day 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, it is Jesus Christ. We are to come into Him for rest.
      Look here 👇Matthew 12:1-8:
"At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent? 👉But I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.
👉If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. 👉For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
      Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30:
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and 👉I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, 👉and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

@BillH-l3c What did Paul say about the law and faith ?
      1 Corinthians 9:19-23
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings."
      Romans 3:31
"Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, 👉we uphold the law."
      Romans 10:3-4
How do we do that according to Paul?
"For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God."
      Jesus said in Matthew 5:17:
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, 👉but to fulfill them."
What are God's commandments? It is Jesus commandments Matthew 5:17-48, chapter 6 & 7.
What is your response/ understanding to the contextual scriptures I provided?

57:59 As Saints we're never alone. Our safety is in Jesus Christ, and He will never leave us. But that doesn't change the fact that we need the body of Christ for correction and community. We must abide in a personal fellowship with Father God daily, we’re to be accountable to God above all.

Ask a simple question how do you translate the Hebrew name YAHushua to Jesus how did we get there?????

    • @joceph.therapapologist
      @joceph.therapapologist Месяц назад +1

      Yahushua - Y H U SH A - I E S O U S
The Y goes to I, H goes to E, the U is speculative at best by retrofitting Christs name to Joshua’s of the Old Testament (which itself has multiple different spellings within the Masoretic corruption), SH goes to S because Greeks don’t pronouns SH in their language, U goes to O, A goes to U, the final S is arbitrarily added at the end of male Greek names in most cases as a rule of the language (check the prophets in Septuagint). There is no conspiracy here other than a made up one. Multiple different tongues around the world call out the the Son of God, and they all sound different, yet miracles are performed by the Holy Spirit. Ashkenazi Juice is spilling everywhere. Take heed

Also, Ron doesn’t say Paul encourages the departure from the Hebraic practices all the apostles were accepting of but it was the early church fathers (which Ron addresses in one of these parts) that were breaking away from the Apostolic Way.

      1 for 7:17
But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I [a]ordain in all the churches. 18 Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. 19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.

@@fredarroyo7429 Did you use a scripture that says “keeping the Commandments of God is what matters” to suggest keeping the Commandments doesn’t matter?
Galatians is one of the most misunderstood books in the Bible. People don’t realize the Galatians were Druidic Gaelics before coming to knowledge of who the Messiah is and they don’t realize the attempt by them to keep the Law for justification. We are to keep His commandments which He says over and over to do however we don’t keep them to be justified. We keep them because we are justified through the Messiah.
