Demons actually kill daisy after the episode 3 (inferno), but before episode 4 (thy flesh shall be consumed). And it's inferno. Original plot is kinda fun though. Doomguy dies at the end of Knee deep in The dead and then power walks through hell to leave by another exit. Badass

He eventually killed all of them and teleported to the Deimos in E2. Thy flesh consumed (E4) was the continuation of doomguy's feud against the demons which also was the sequel to doom 2.

While cacodemons and pain elementals obviously share a lot of morphological features, their physiology is still widely different, as one spits out lost souls whereas the other belches plasma-esque orbs, so it would be very remarkable if cacos and pains belonged to the same species. Same family maybe. But than again, we're talking about demonic cryptids, so even their entire biology may be vastly different from what we have on Earth. And Romero could've just made that up on the fly without giving it much thought.

haha... that is just one of many color translation strings I've come up with over the last year during my ongoing effort to try to make the cacodemons look more sinister. I have a whole notepad file full of them, going back and forth between the horns & teeth being onyx versus yellow, the main color being maroon versus blood red, etc... maybe I should line them all up and do a poll. :P
