For me personally i prefer siege cause unlike Saga who i have to micromanage while also paying attention to other lanes, its just easier to drop siege in her respective lane and not have to think about her while i build up a defense.
But the manual skill activation is also what make saga better tho,allow you much more control over her skill, siege can just be use for some afk gaming
Even though saga Powercreeped siege hard as fuck, especially with her S3, I think that they make a funny combo dps on the old R6S collab event maps, where 4.8 quadrillion slugs spawn so they essentially generated a fuckton of DP + SP for themselves. But... Outside of that very specific scenario, she's pretty much dead in the water. P.S. Was watching Supah spitting facts at a bank. The bank manager must've been a Seige fan because everyone after me was immediately kicked out and they threw down glass shutters.

Really shocked on how siege fell seeing as she was the only 6 star vanguard for so long. Then again with vigil coming out there's no way she could've stood up to his brokenness
One of the reason why Siege is so bad as a vanguard is because before the release of the game, during alpha or beta Vanguard class didn't exist, there were just Guard and some of them has DP generation skills. That's why so many people at the game launch compared Siege as a mini guard due to her stat and DPS. After creating Vanguard HG probably didn't know how to make a good 6 stars of that class and probably just leave her like that with her S3 that dont generate DP...
I think the easiest solution is pulling an amyia and giving her a new form without it being a separate op it makes sense considering how important she is to the victora story
I fear they might not do it since you have to pull siege, compared to being given Amiya for free. I'd be down for a form change for Siege tho, mostly because I'd be unexpensive pulls wise, as dedicated as I am to her. Just please don't make her a guard, make her a vanguard again with a different kit or something cool not just another fucking Guard.

siege S1 did have a niche before even that was removed, she was the best vanguard for afk runs in anhilations being a solid lane holder while not having to pay attention to her when things went to hell everywhere else at the end while still maintaining your dp especially if you were doing it as a trust farm and needed to use the least units
Siege should feel like the 6star version of Zima IMO. I was hoping that a future (skill-specific) module would turn Siege into a Vanguard stat buffer(1st talent multiplied) while her skill 3 is up. It's kinda the one thing I see that makes her stand apart from other vanguards. It sadly doesn't unlock that much even if you go with a full vanguard team as of right now.
Yeah. Arknights have to make adjust So many operator are down to useless because how hardly they got powercreeped. Siege was my first 6*. I had just quit FGO before playing AK, and so seeing Ayako Kawasumi as a VA again brought joy to my jaded heart. She might be mightily powercrept, but she's still one of the core units I bring for AFK strategies.
Siege was my first 6 star on day 1, and the 3rd max pot 6 star. Although she is powercrept by the newer Vanguards, she will forever have a place in my squad (When I'm not Abyssal Hunter only, that is). Now just gotta copium for an OP Siege Alter with Excaliburrrrrrr!

I answered this in the QnA coming eventually too, but I'll post the answer here too: That's incorrect. "Goom" is the russian name. "Gummy", the localized name... is "Gummy". Because it's the english word. Gummy. Not only that but the CN name is 古米, pronounced "Guumii". Which translates to... Gumi. Which is close to Gummy, the english name. This pretty much confirms she is named after candy and bubblegum, as the CN name is meant to represent the English word. Not only that but Goom does mean Gum. You can also say гумми which IS pronounced "guu-mmi" very close to the english word, again. For example the Gummy Bear in russian does use this term. So yes, she IS named after bubblegum since both the CN and Russian pronunciations are close to the word Gummy. Having her be named after some random store and not Gums would also be weird since she has gum-shaped hairpins. So no, I am not wrong. Because the english word "Gummy", which is her localized name, is pronounced Gummy. It's the russian name that is pronounced Goom. And even then, it's meant to represent the english word Gummy.

Having both Saga and Siege, I find myself often benching Saga for Siege most of the time simply because of the automatic activation. Micromanaging Saga S2 can be annoying for little gain and her S3 is either overkill or not enough, consistant skills are generally better for early game. Siege is also really bulky, especially with her 1st module where she can reach above 500 def, making her able to keep holding her lane for longer or the full duration of the map. And for hard stages where you'll want to micromanage everything, you'll probably bench both for the flagpipe crew.
This tbh, I always bust out my siege for annihilation maps. It's nice having a vanguard decent at landholding that requires zero micromanagement that makes DP at a reasonable pace.

There's times where actually having siege reliably clear an entire lane helps me focus on not dying wherever the actual hard enemies/boss is. For a very loaded and probably not-really equivalent statement, it's like using Mudmud for the left lane in CC10 vs actually putting someone there that needs babysitting. That side was fairly easy for like 80% of the risks, but there were parts that unless you were using Mudrock on S2 to resolve cannon + tanking + blocking + baiting drones, you'd be splitting your head while trying to murder manfred AND do all those other things at the same time. Point being, having a lazy but comparable option helps relieve some mental pressure from the map, or better focus on other places that need tighter timing or more attention to work out.

Siege wasn't even the best vanguard in the game at launch. OG Texas was better by a pretty moderate margin even then (with the gap widening after Bagpipe release because of strong helidrop potential) and basically a freebie at that point because she appeared in the store. And the DP cost *could* actually be an issue for Siege at launch as a matter of fact because of specific maps where you were rushed with dogs at the beginning. Siege had the highest DP cost of any VG at launch and those extra couple of seconds meant that in certain maps she actually couldn't be deployed before the first enemy leaked.

Mlynar and chalter physical dmg just so ridiculously high they dont even care about physical def(somehow mlynar dps and dph is higher than water chen). And even with top notch enemies with high res where eyja and GG struggle, surtr and texalter just dont giv a shit since their res shread just take care of them( sure GG has 15 res shread but her atk even after s3 is kinda low). But i feel somehow unfair comparing casters to other classes
I'm surprised you seemed to not mention the biggest reason for 'HG wants to make Siege irrelevant', and that was Saga S3 actually being able to generate the damm DP when Siege S3 still does not (and probably never will). Because if she could, you'd suddenly have a vanguard that can on just her own deal with high defense enemies much better than Saga and still edging out Bagpipe (ignoring modules, a max Siege s3 will hit for about 2.4k, Saga with module reaches 1.5k and Bagpipe with module 1.6k and 2.1k depending on crit hit) while not needing to compete with actual guards because she can still generate a bunch of dp (unlike Bagpipe) before those tougher enemies show up. And this would also make her module 1 a not-waste (or at least less so) of resources, increasing her attack by 20% and def up to lower tier defenders, making her s3 hit for a juicy 3k instead while boosting her survivability substantially if the stun rng doesn't work out. All things considered, her s3 would have been a top notch skill that (besides the ease of use with s2) would have kept her 'alive' even until today, if it didn't require her to trade in the 'van' part and compete with actual heavy hitters among tbe guard roster.

The fact she is a launch unit and is still used as the benchmark says a lot about her. On top of the fact almost all Casters released simply never reach that benchmark. They might come close in their specific scenario, but Eyjafjalla still just remains Queen of the Class. Siege on the other hand wasn't even Queen of the Class when she was the only 6 star Vanguard in the game. She had Texas and Courier breathing down her neck as cheaper alternatives, with both of them being given out for free on top of that.

The one *true powercreep*. Really sad how Siege's niches are: 1. "Shitty Saga but lazy" 2. Passively buffing a classknights that like 10 people play including me. 3. Having a decent S3 for a classknights that like 10 people play including me. I feel like they should have added DP gain on her S3 for general content usage, ontop of her already existing modules. Maybe increase the damage scaling on her S2 too, so Saga has the auto, range and sp for allies but Siege gets the oongaboonga damage.
eh, I still use Siege pretty often. Her most valuable ability is to be AFK with s2, and she does great at that. She's still the queen of set up and leave there. Like Blaze, who's been probably crept by Gavial, I still use Blaze more because the magic of AFK. Do not give me manual activations unless you're, like, Thorns or Mylnar or SilverAsh or Eyja or something. It is simply NOT worth the hassle. I refuse.
I use Siege quite often, still a very solid option for a mix of lane holding plus extra DP with S2-M3, but yeah, agree she has been pushed out a bit, to me is still solid and didn't care to level saga knowing was an overall better Siege.
And here I am choosing Fiametta over Saga with my 6 star selector ticket yesterday... I'm still happy with Siegepipe as my main vanguards. And I use Siege's S1
One very minor thing that makes siege tiny bit better than Saga. Sieges skill 2 and 3 do similar things, yes but Sieges skill cost less SP. 10 for Skill 2 (Saga has 13 SP) and 30 SP (Saga has 40). Oh and skill 3 lasts longer for Siege (25 second compared to 30). Still Saga is better in vast majority of the situation and its most often honestly the talent and her S3 range. Not only you have great early blocker that basically has 2 lives in most situations but also she is still useful after you put somebody stronger in front of her, making Saga into some instructor imitator. If not for talent, people would use Siege more often due to easier general use with S2, bulk and buffing other vanguards without effort. Oh also S2 being manually activated makes her way better in IS when you get cursed pasta or spinach items, but thats niche. However Saga is one of best benefactors of the "spinach pasta" relics alongside Excusai (now she actually can attack above defence), Mudrock (POWERFUL SPINS), Ch'en/Bibeak S2 (if you can also charge it quickly...), Mayer (POWERFUL EXPLOSIONS. Also for some reason doesnt work for Ling's summon in S2 so Ling is honestly worse if you go for pasta build) and for defensive options many medics and healing defenders (yes this includes Gummy's S1)
just a correction, only her talent ignores sp lockout, her natural sp gain is still affected by sp lockout. as an example if no enemies died next to her during her s3 her sp upon the end of the skill is still zero. this also applies to saga, and anyone who attacks a critically wounded enemy
I have a thought. Maybe just make her a module that specifically amplifies S2. Like, make it hold more charges, more ISP, etc. And maybe a reliable self sustaining ability? Cuz that's kinda her niche, laneholding. It would probably make her busted, but hey, no time like the present to be busted when you're Siege. Though it'd cost lots of materials, and people aren't going to spend things on Siege to make her do Mountain things when you could have Mountain himself do those and you don't have to spend materials. But It's a thought. Maybe make modules be more specific. Like buffing a skill of an operator, if the skill is what him/her special.
It seems that modules were never intended as a means to restore powercrept operators to relevance, it seems it’s just another resource sink that coincidentally does that on occasion if they have a talent that would save the unit if improved.

7;48 As a saga simp that always uses her, i beg to differ. Siege's skin is tacticool, has matching theme with other skins, and signifies her change alongside the lore that is the newest chapter. Saga's skin is literally cover art and weapon particle recolor.
Ok can I talk about the CRIME of Siege module. Freaking Eyja, the most powerful caster in the game, her module changed her talent from "atk buff when DEPLOYED" to "atk buff when IN SQUAD"(which you can guess, it a massive buff). While Siege's module doesn't change the "deployed" status, _it literally only effects her._
Completely omitting the optimal use scenario for Siege. She's a multi-class rather than just a Vanguard. She's incredibly tanky, provides DP, deals decently high damage in an AoE range, she's cheap to deploy, overall she's a jack of all trades, master of nothing. She's flexible like that and that flexibility lets her do multiple jobs at a just good enough level. Siege's optimal scenario is when you lack optimization. In Siracusan event I used E2 LVL69 Siege to fight the boss. I dropped her early in the round and kept her on the field throughout the whole game untill she got killed by the boss's 2nd stage. There was no planning or set up needed, easy first try clear. Each operator excels in something. Siege excels in being just built different. If each operator has stats ranging from S to F, Siege's stats range from A to C. She's a permanent part of my loadout because of it.
Short answer: She is only relevant thanks to Skill 2. For Arts Bursting there are plenty of better options nowadays (Mainly Surtr and Ceobe). With her Skill 2 she is still the best AoE arts in the game, but that is not a role with a very high demand. So, in "meta" teams she often doesn't have a place compared to people like Mlynar, Surtr, Texalter, Gummy, NG or whatever
Overall the reasons why Eyjafjalla isn't used as much nowadays are much more nebulous compared to Siege. Short of it is that generally better stuff came out and the role she excels at isn't in that much of a high demand
best use of my Siege is to plop her down next to Saga, facing her away so Saga feeds SP a flagbearer and Siege gets passive SP in my 999dp speedruns... thats literally the only reason my Siege is m6...
While I agree that Siege's S2 being automatic is a problem because she's unable to generate DPs without a constant influx of enemies, I still prefer that to a manual skill i have to activate every 5 seconds. Not just because it takes vastly less effort, but because I need to do other stuff at the same time.
Idk if siege is good or not for end game content, but what im sure abt her is that she's a great unit for early game content, she helped me trough all the stages, bc once i put her on field i dont have to worry abt her bc how tanky she is, the damage she does and her block capacity!

I mean, unless you are a veteran that has maxed out Eyja since the early days of AK and got really used to her, why would you still bother with S3 when we have better alternatives? Want to nuke bosses? Elbenholds and Surtur exist. Want to express map presence? Goldenglow exists. Want to Nuke the entire map with helidrop? We have Młynar that is way cheaper, and Lin that has better survivability and true AOE, and even Texas alter that is way more consistent. If I still find myself wanting to use specifically Eyja for some unnatural reason, I use her only for S2 as stationary caster paired with Ifrit or Ceobe, or other Arts debuffers.
I can confirm that seige sucks. She is my second most used vanguard behind beanstalk, and the one i bring to cover for a lack of DP during attempts at clearing events using nicheknights, and it has always would have been significantly more efficient to being any of my other vanguards who aren't stuck at E0.

siege S1 did have a niche before even that was removed, she was the best vanguard for afk runs in anhilations being a solid lane holder while not having to pay attention to her when things went to hell everywhere else at the end while still maintaining your dp especially if you were doing it as a trust farm and needed to use the least units
Siege should feel like the 6star version of Zima IMO.
I was hoping that a future (skill-specific) module would turn Siege into a Vanguard stat buffer(1st talent multiplied) while her skill 3 is up.
It's kinda the one thing I see that makes her stand apart from other vanguards.
It sadly doesn't unlock that much even if you go with a full vanguard team as of right now.

Siege was my first 6*. I had just quit FGO before playing AK, and so seeing Ayako Kawasumi as a VA again brought joy to my jaded heart.
She might be mightily powercrept, but she's still one of the core units I bring for AFK strategies.

Siege was my first 6 star on day 1, and the 3rd max pot 6 star.
Although she is powercrept by the newer Vanguards, she will forever have a place in my squad (When I'm not Abyssal Hunter only, that is). Now just gotta copium for an OP Siege Alter with Excaliburrrrrrr!

I wonder Has anyone ever told you that Gummie's name should be pronounced "goom" instead of "gammi"? Cuz that's what's written on her E2 art, module and skins. She is not named after a bubble gum. She is named after GUM = Glavnyy Universalnyy Magazin = Main Universal Store, which is a giant block of stores for rich people in Moscow. Or may be I dont know something..

That's incorrect. "Goom" is the russian name. "Gummy", the localized name... is "Gummy". Because it's the english word. Gummy. Not only that but the CN name is 古米, pronounced "Guumii". Which translates to... Gumi. Which is close to Gummy, the english name. This pretty much confirms she is named after candy and bubblegum, as the CN name is meant to represent the English word.
Not only that but Goom does mean Gum. You can also say гумми which IS pronounced "guu-mmi" very close to the english word, again. For example the Gummy Bear in russian does use this term. So yes, she IS named after bubblegum since both the CN and Russian pronunciations are close to the word Gummy. Having her be named after some random store and not Gums would also be weird since she has gum-shaped hairpins.

ESL moment
Having both Saga and Siege, I find myself often benching Saga for Siege most of the time simply because of the automatic activation. Micromanaging Saga S2 can be annoying for little gain and her S3 is either overkill or not enough, consistant skills are generally better for early game. Siege is also really bulky, especially with her 1st module where she can reach above 500 def, making her able to keep holding her lane for longer or the full duration of the map. And for hard stages where you'll want to micromanage everything, you'll probably bench both for the flagpipe crew.
This tbh, I always bust out my siege for annihilation maps. It's nice having a vanguard decent at landholding that requires zero micromanagement that makes DP at a reasonable pace.
A lazy option doesn’t make her better. And it’s pretty rare that micro is a difficult thing.

@@swift-pawedteif386i mean, I'd argue it does when there's other places you rather spend your time focusing on. There's times where actually having siege reliably clear an entire lane helps me focus on not dying wherever the actual hard enemies/boss is.
For a very loaded and probably not-really equivalent statement, it's like using Mudmud for the left lane in CC10 vs actually putting someone there that needs babysitting. That side was fairly easy for like 80% of the risks, but there were parts that unless you were using Mudrock on S2 to resolve cannon + tanking + blocking + baiting drones, you'd be splitting your head while trying to murder manfred AND do all those other things at the same time.
Point being, having a lazy but comparable option helps relieve some mental pressure from the map, or better focus on other places that need tighter timing or more attention to work out.
Yeah, Saga is very squishy. Siege can survive with just Myrtle's regen most of the time.

Damn, I'm new to the game and Siege was literally my first 6* operator from the banner. lol
Siege wasn't even the best vanguard in the game at launch. OG Texas was better by a pretty moderate margin even then (with the gap widening after Bagpipe release because of strong helidrop potential) and basically a freebie at that point because she appeared in the store. And the DP cost *could* actually be an issue for Siege at launch as a matter of fact because of specific maps where you were rushed with dogs at the beginning. Siege had the highest DP cost of any VG at launch and those extra couple of seconds meant that in certain maps she actually couldn't be deployed before the first enemy leaked.

Yet I never use Saga. Ever, despite having Saga M6'd. Siege's auto activation is just plain easier to use because you can set her and forget her.

For real, I've yet to see a caster that has surpassed Eyja. The closest I've seen is Goldenglow.
Who powercreep eyja? Until now. Only gg has come close,sometimes better sometime worse. Eyjs so strong that her s2 alone invalidate a whole sub class
@@terrarius7707 same thought lmao. Currently lvl 81, even tho i have a m6 eyja and GG i almost never use them since i have all surtr, chalter, Mlynar and texalter. Mlynar and chalter physical dmg just so ridiculously high they dont even care about physical def(somehow mlynar dps and dph is higher than water chen). And even with top notch enemies with high res where eyja and GG struggle, surtr and texalter just dont giv a shit since their res shread just take care of them( sure GG has 15 res shread but her atk even after s3 is kinda low). But i feel somehow unfair comparing casters to other classes

I'm surprised you seemed to not mention the biggest reason for 'HG wants to make Siege irrelevant', and that was Saga S3 actually being able to generate the damm DP when Siege S3 still does not (and probably never will).
Because if she could, you'd suddenly have a vanguard that can on just her own deal with high defense enemies much better than Saga and still edging out Bagpipe (ignoring modules, a max Siege s3 will hit for about 2.4k, Saga with module reaches 1.5k and Bagpipe with module 1.6k and 2.1k depending on crit hit) while not needing to compete with actual guards because she can still generate a bunch of dp (unlike Bagpipe) before those tougher enemies show up.
And this would also make her module 1 a not-waste (or at least less so) of resources, increasing her attack by 20% and def up to lower tier defenders, making her s3 hit for a juicy 3k instead while boosting her survivability substantially if the stun rng doesn't work out.
All things considered, her s3 would have been a top notch skill that (besides the ease of use with s2) would have kept her 'alive' even until today, if it didn't require her to trade in the 'van' part and compete with actual heavy hitters among tbe guard roster.

Thems be fightin' words, SUPAH! My girl has never been anything but the Gold Standard for Casters, even to this day. The fact she is a launch unit and is still used as the benchmark says a lot about her. On top of the fact almost all Casters released simply never reach that benchmark. They might come close in their specific scenario, but Eyjafjalla still just remains Queen of the Class.
Siege on the other hand wasn't even Queen of the Class when she was the only 6 star Vanguard in the game. She had Texas and Courier breathing down her neck as cheaper alternatives, with both of them being given out for free on top of that.

Really sad how Siege's niches are:
1. "Shitty Saga but lazy"
2. Passively buffing a classknights that like 10 people play including me.
3. Having a decent S3 for a classknights that like 10 people play including me.
I feel like they should have added DP gain on her S3 for general content usage, ontop of her already existing modules.
Maybe increase the damage scaling on her S2 too, so Saga has the auto, range and sp for allies but Siege gets the oongaboonga damage.

eh, I still use Siege pretty often. Her most valuable ability is to be AFK with s2, and she does great at that. She's still the queen of set up and leave there. Like Blaze, who's been probably crept by Gavial, I still use Blaze more because the magic of AFK.
Do not give me manual activations unless you're, like, Thorns or Mylnar or SilverAsh or Eyja or something. It is simply NOT worth the hassle. I refuse.
I use Siege quite often, still a very solid option for a mix of lane holding plus extra DP with S2-M3, but yeah, agree she has been pushed out a bit, to me is still solid and didn't care to level saga knowing was an overall better Siege.

One very minor thing that makes siege tiny bit better than Saga.
Sieges skill 2 and 3 do similar things, yes but Sieges skill cost less SP. 10 for Skill 2 (Saga has 13 SP) and 30 SP (Saga has 40). Oh and skill 3 lasts longer for Siege (25 second compared to 30).
Still Saga is better in vast majority of the situation and its most often honestly the talent and her S3 range. Not only you have great early blocker that basically has 2 lives in most situations but also she is still useful after you put somebody stronger in front of her, making Saga into some instructor imitator. If not for talent, people would use Siege more often due to easier general use with S2, bulk and buffing other vanguards without effort.
Oh also S2 being manually activated makes her way better in IS when you get cursed pasta or spinach items, but thats niche. However Saga is one of best benefactors of the "spinach pasta" relics alongside Excusai (now she actually can attack above defence), Mudrock (POWERFUL SPINS), Ch'en/Bibeak S2 (if you can also charge it quickly...), Mayer (POWERFUL EXPLOSIONS. Also for some reason doesnt work for Ling's summon in S2 so Ling is honestly worse if you go for pasta build) and for defensive options many medics and healing defenders (yes this includes Gummy's S1)

just a correction, only her talent ignores sp lockout, her natural sp gain is still affected by sp lockout. as an example if no enemies died next to her during her s3 her sp upon the end of the skill is still zero. this also applies to saga, and anyone who attacks a critically wounded enemy

I have a thought. Maybe just make her a module that specifically amplifies S2. Like, make it hold more charges, more ISP, etc. And maybe a reliable self sustaining ability? Cuz that's kinda her niche, laneholding. It would probably make her busted, but hey, no time like the present to be busted when you're Siege. Though it'd cost lots of materials, and people aren't going to spend things on Siege to make her do Mountain things when you could have Mountain himself do those and you don't have to spend materials. But It's a thought. Maybe make modules be more specific. Like buffing a skill of an operator, if the skill is what him/her special.
It seems that modules were never intended as a means to restore powercrept operators to relevance, it seems it’s just another resource sink that coincidentally does that on occasion if they have a talent that would save the unit if improved.

She's still in my team all this time. Reliable lane holder before i can set up mudrock and penance then just helidrop her if theres a bit of trouble somewhere. If you dont have everyone siege is still so reliable just on base stats alone
7;48 As a saga simp that always uses her, i beg to differ. Siege's skin is tacticool, has matching theme with other skins, and signifies her change alongside the lore that is the newest chapter. Saga's skin is literally cover art and weapon particle recolor.
Ok can I talk about the CRIME of Siege module. Freaking Eyja, the most powerful caster in the game, her module changed her talent from "atk buff when DEPLOYED" to "atk buff when IN SQUAD"(which you can guess, it a massive buff). While Siege's module doesn't change the "deployed" status, _it literally only effects her._
Completely omitting the optimal use scenario for Siege. She's a multi-class rather than just a Vanguard. She's incredibly tanky, provides DP, deals decently high damage in an AoE range, she's cheap to deploy, overall she's a jack of all trades, master of nothing. She's flexible like that and that flexibility lets her do multiple jobs at a just good enough level. Siege's optimal scenario is when you lack optimization. In Siracusan event I used E2 LVL69 Siege to fight the boss. I dropped her early in the round and kept her on the field throughout the whole game untill she got killed by the boss's 2nd stage. There was no planning or set up needed, easy first try clear. Each operator excels in something. Siege excels in being just built different. If each operator has stats ranging from S to F, Siege's stats range from A to C. She's a permanent part of my loadout because of it.
Even then Saga is still better. If you're not optimizing, even then she's a lackluster option.

Short answer: She is only relevant thanks to Skill 2. For Arts Bursting there are plenty of better options nowadays (Mainly Surtr and Ceobe). With her Skill 2 she is still the best AoE arts in the game, but that is not a role with a very high demand. So, in "meta" teams she often doesn't have a place compared to people like Mlynar, Surtr, Texalter, Gummy, NG or whatever
Overall the reasons why Eyjafjalla isn't used as much nowadays are much more nebulous compared to Siege. Short of it is that generally better stuff came out and the role she excels at isn't in that much of a high demand

best use of my Siege is to plop her down next to Saga, facing her away so Saga feeds SP a flagbearer and Siege gets passive SP in my 999dp speedruns... thats literally the only reason my Siege is m6...
While I agree that Siege's S2 being automatic is a problem because she's unable to generate DPs without a constant influx of enemies, I still prefer that to a manual skill i have to activate every 5 seconds. Not just because it takes vastly less effort, but because I need to do other stuff at the same time.

Idk if siege is good or not for end game content, but what im sure abt her is that she's a great unit for early game content, she helped me trough all the stages, bc once i put her on field i dont have to worry abt her bc how tanky she is, the damage she does and her block capacity!

I mean, unless you are a veteran that has maxed out Eyja since the early days of AK and got really used to her, why would you still bother with S3 when we have better alternatives?
Want to nuke bosses? Elbenholds and Surtur exist.
Want to express map presence? Goldenglow exists.
Want to Nuke the entire map with helidrop? We have Młynar that is way cheaper, and Lin that has better survivability and true AOE, and even Texas alter that is way more consistent.
If I still find myself wanting to use specifically Eyja for some unnatural reason, I use her only for S2 as stationary caster paired with Ifrit or Ceobe, or other Arts debuffers.
I just got my second Siege from standard in 3 months of playing Arknights. Now she costs a whooping 15 SP YEY

I can confirm that seige sucks. She is my second most used vanguard behind beanstalk, and the one i bring to cover for a lack of DP during attempts at clearing events using nicheknights, and it has always would have been significantly more efficient to being any of my other vanguards who aren't stuck at E0.
I would definetly pull for a chharacter called Siege the LionFucker, even if is a crusher guard
