Hey Liting, great guide as always! Loving the new channel presentation. Any chance you have a link to your EoR build? Or a guide we can follow? looks awesome!
I have nearly 800 hours in that game and I STILL learned a few new things checking your channel, specifically, tip #1 and #20. Tip 1 is made obsolete by Grim Dawn Internals (long live QoL mods), but I did not know about the 20th one (DPS compare). Although I have a good eye for comparing weapons, this will help a lot. Especially when comparing weapon with armor piercing. Also, quick points: Blueprint "memories" and shared stash is completely separate between softcore and hardcore characters. Meaning a soft core toon learning a new recipe will not transfert to HC toons and vice-versa. If you get far enough (and you did), you can also do an end-game "XYZ tips" for advanced concepts, farming techniques and such. I got my own tricks, but it's always interesting to learn new ones. Among those: overmaxing resists, circuit breakers, which factions to align with (Kymon vs Order), secret quests (three of them), rogue-like dungeons (4), common constellations, positioning tricks, etc...
I appreciate the inspiration François, I might bring some of those topics in for future videos. If you have any additional topics you think would be fitting I would love to hear them.
@@LiftingNerdBro It basically amounts to your decision to search, experiment and document in video the more advanced concepts of the game, and how to be efficient. I'll leave it up to you to decide. A good video subject would be the mostly unknown "damage transform" objects in the game. Most of those are lvl 94+ (for legendaries) and a good lot are Monster Infrequents. The have the property to partially or totally transform some types of damage to another type, often requiring very specific builds to use. They are like the hipster version of specialty builds in other games. With the difference being that some of those are horrendously over-powered compared to "conventional" builds. A complete list: www.grimtools.com/db/items/skill-modifiers An example of a few single items (not set-dependent) that greatly modifies a single skill: www.grimtools.com/db/items/8658 and www.grimtools.com/db/items/11363
On comparing damages, it is helpful to note that the second tab of the stats sheet shows the damage range of your auto attack (LMB), your RMB, and your weapon. This is with all bonuses from gear, devotions, auras, skills, etc applied. This can be quite helpful when comparing gear. Especially with spells, the majority of which do not take weapon damage into account. The weapon in these cases is for attributes, bonuses and gear-skills.
On tip #12, if you have the Crucible add-on DLC (very cheap and worth it for a variety of reasons - 5 to 8 easy devotion points on a new character, for instance), you can jump into the crucible to access your stash at level 1, without needing to unlock the Devil's Crossing gate. Grab your stuff, start up again with the main campaign, and your new character has stash gear/potions/scrap/crystals/etc.
Indeed, the only reason I bought Crucible is to access stash right away for new characters! I didn't even bother with the Crucible waves since I prefer sticking to the campaign only.
Just in case people didn't know. If you have the Crucible, when making a new character and wanting to transfer iron bars/xp pots/writs etc you can just start a game in the crucible and talk to the shared vendor there. No need for doing the first quest. This also lets you pop the EXP potion, and go collect the xp notes in the FG area, and other towns with books. Can get to 11+ in the first 2 mins easy this way.
IDK if u already mention these or not - Items soul bounded by augment could be neutralize at inventor by using “keep-item”, now you can transfer them again. - Not all components/bonus benefit you, when I was fresh at this game I made some mistake embedded haunted steel into my physical build for “damage to health conversion” but it also converted my physical damage to vitality (which I got no bonus of) thus my attack got lowered and I couldnt achieve that damage to heal sustainability. - Aside from checking builds on forum and youtube, Grim dawn got pretty great community and if anyone got stuck anywhere there are someone willing to help.

@@LiftingNerdBro Just be careful with writs. Unlike mandates, they are soulbound - no sharing of writs purchased on another character. That bit me for a few hundred thousand iron bits early on.... Gear and augments from quartermasters are also soulbound. Which is why mandates are so important - each character needs to get the rep to get the goods.
I think it is, but I believe it just shows physical dps. There are 3 tabs above your attributes and you can look ar the second one to find magical damage and also more detailed dps info (not an expert, correct me if I'm wrong).
The tooltip can be accurate as long as you know what you are comparing. The issue, however, is exactly that, it isn't always easy to know what it takes into account when showing you the result.

It is just to plan ahead and have them ready for future builds that I am going to level. They do not stack, but I prefer not having to buy them from all the different vendors every time I wish to start a new character =)
@@triggermortis8252 That's actually good advice yea. I didn't even consider the writs to be soulbound either, but it makes sense I guess =)
what is your class combo/build?
That build is a templar (Arcanist/Oathkeeper). I recently released a guide if you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/qNDJseRxrSE/видео.html
This game amazing.
Is tooltip dps accurate in Grim Dawn?
I'm used to ignoring tooltip dps in Path of Exile because it usually isn't accurate.
If you have chance on attack in your build, than it is not calculated into the dps sheet
You can just click on voidgates ? Holy Emeperor.
