I would like to play the game , but why should i pay for it that much? Its more expensive that Diablo (and POE its free) it looks nice but its not worth that amount of money. Thank you for your videos and keep it up.
@@Adysan37 It's rather cheap on sale, and differs quite a lot from diablo and PoE. If you want to play an arpg that's more complex than diablo, but doesnt have the games as service -model of poe, grim dawn is a good choice.
@@Saukkomestari agreed. I got it and the expansions for dirt cheap. Way better than Diablo 3.
can you share you templa build plz?
3 HUNDRED HOURS. never knew about pick up bottom............ thank u so much!!!! lol
think of the hours wasted :D
Great game. I know a guy with a thousand hours in this lol
I played this game for almost 3k hours, and i honestly didnt know there was a pickup key, you learn something new everyday
Oh my gosh. This is too real
that 3k is wasted! XD
Big oof haha
I have put around 400 hours into this game but I still watch these type of videos and love being suprised when I find something new 😁 great work, looking forward to the follow up!

I like how players were requesting automatic pickups of components in Grim Dawn and we eventually got it. We also have that uber loot filter system. Diablo 3 players have been begging for automatic pick ups of Death's Breath for over 22 seasons going on 9 years in may of 2021 and they will *never* get it.
Hahaha, I am dying! Being swedish myself i found that Swedish hobo segment pure gold! Thanks for the laughter!
Vi har humor ijallafall 🤣
Must agree :) perfect start to the morning
haha, you are not alone :D
He's Danish, but yea funny af ^^
Looking like a swedish hobo in real life is enough. At least I won't have to do that ingame :P
400+ hours, didn’t expect to really learn anything, and literally the first tip is news to me. Excellent work!
On the 5# Components, There is an option in the settings to auto loot components just like items.
Some of the things presented in this guide have chanced since but the core of it is really good. I have about 3700 in this game and can vouch for the genuine quality of this video. Very helpful! Great job!
Amazing video! I just started playing Grim Dawn, have around 26 hours with a Demolitinist + Shaman and i'm having a blast of a time! And these times totally helped me on enjoying the game even more, thanks a lot!
I had no idea about the special perks of each blacksmith.... Thank you!!
As a more experienced player i have to say: This is a nice guide for beginners, good job.
Been fumbling through as I learn. Thanks for the tips!
These are all really good tips, especially the Crucible ones. Crucible is such a powerful DLC for starting off, and fun too at higher levels.
so freaking helpful, i needed this like 6 months ago! :) Thanks BRO!
Thank you!!
A word about build guides, there are very few leveling guides available in the forums. Most of the guides I've found are for fully leveled characters and/or require certain gear to viable (although a few builds do give some leveling advice). This can be frustrating for a new player as you'll try to level with such a build and you'll find yourself unable to do so. Or, you'll try to follow the devotion guide and won't be able to figure out how they achieved what you see. I think the general advice is to level on whatever masteries you like using whatever skills and devotions you enjoy. Then, when you're leveled up, respec into an end game build. At least, that's what I've seen, but I'm no expert.
i would like to know, how see in their builds what devotion they pick and the skills.
In the build posts you'll see a Grim Tools link. Click that and you'll go to the character window. From there, click on the book icon at the bottom left, like you would in-game, and the skills window will open. The tabs at the top are for the two masteries and the devotions. Use the window just as you would in-game.@@asrfilho1
I've been playing for years and didn't know a couple things here. Thanks lifting.
Thank you Lifting for this video as it's a huge help to this GD noob - the game is much less cumbersome with knowing many of these tips.
Nice video! i always like stuff like this couse even as a veteran since u never know what u have missed(since the game changed alot) so thx for this one!
It would be epic if you include examples of starting build guides :) Like 1 melee, 1 ranged and 1 caster for example. Thanks!
Learned a few things from this video. Good info bro.
Ah! Very good! Thanks, buddy
Thanks for leaving this channel up for us old-school fans Lifting, I just started re-watching this series in preparation for the new Grim Dawn DLC next year ☺️
Hope your family is doing well, and the fitness career too 🤘
Thanks so much, LNB you got me back into Grim Dawn, I have mage self-build but I got a little bored with just using the ather death beam, after I beat the main story. looking to make a sort of sword/pistol and board tank...like mac says in predator "gonna have me some fun"! subbed.
Thanks for this, for whatever reason I keep getting maybe 10 hours into the game and just burning out. Hopefully this will help make me stick around.
Well, yeah. Thats half the day on a game. I'd be burnt out too
I've played the game for over 200 hours and still at least 2 tips were new for me
As a genuine Swedish hobo I'm offended by this.. Not at the statement (cuz it's true) but for the lack of beard. My beard is majestic AF and that dude had none!
Chose demolitionist and warrior at lvl 20 and doing pretty well. The game is great so far learning a lot by watching videos and walkthroughs this is my first RPG like this and always wanted to gain knowledge in these type of titles :)
Great advice just got the game, looking at build guides did help me understand things alto better and gave me alot of time to learn and have fun too, well done sir!
Many thanks for this, will watch part 2 after :)
i never followed a build guide, and i only play hardcore... i have lost, many.. many characters over the years :D got the hang of it now of course.. just pick an offensive skill and build around supporting that one skill while you level, then you can start branching out into other skills. Most of my failed characters had fingers in too many pies early on
I think a game that needs you to go to an external guide to make it work needs some better instructions.
Ye it is like picking undead in titan quest, then getting stuck in Egypt because all enemies are 100% immune to you, figures haha
THIS IS FANTASTIC! Much respect!
Very good tutorial, bought it recently and will play it in April!
Great tips for new players, that of which I am not...so I can appreciate the value of your video. Been playing the game since 2013.... it's come a long way for sure. Cheers mate!
how did you play this game on 2013 if it was released on 2016?
@@envy-my-wishes2398 the game has been in early access from at least 2014, so maybe the guy is right or he's off by one year. doesnt matter much, the game's way older than the release date suggests.
@@envy-my-wishes2398 You can find videos of it back in about 2009 i believe but i think it was like pseudo-released in 2014 or 15 than properly in 2016 but then didnt really pick up until 2019.
This is one of the better Grim Dawn videos! Thanks you!
Thanks for your tips bro! I being Watching your Videos from Path of Exile and Grim Dawn! Keep up the good work! Now let's play Grim Dawn! 👊💪
Been playing & loving the game for about a month. Have 5 toons in the 50s & never knew about the crucible!
I love your stuff LBN. Good tips, useful use of things on screen to visualize what you talking about voice is audible and crisp. Makes life easy in transfer your ideas to use. Any good recent information on Grim Dawn?
Amazing guide, thank you. You just got a new sub.
Did you guys know all of the of the tips? If you have any you wish to share that wasn't covered in this video then feel free to do so here in the comments. We all benefit from that =)
I would add that it is SO easy to re-spec (within your chosen masteries) in this game. So don't worry about if you will like a skill or not. There are some skills that are great for leveling (Soldier Forcewave, Shaman Primal Strike, Arcanist Olexra Flash Freeze and Trozan Sky Shards, etc) that you may or may not spec out of once you are at a higher level. That is OK and expected.
1st time here. Very nice. Keep it up. Liked and subbed.
You're a gentleman and a scholar for this video. Thank you
Thank you for the great tips. I learned some of them a long way many characters crated and get better and better. One of them 89 level doing good
I have discovered grim dawn and loved it same day
That's great man, glad you like it! There will definitely be more content, thanks man! =)
Just picked this game up yesterday thanks to a 80% discount between vermintide 2(fantastic game as well) and this one.
This game is a ton of fun. I never really got into diablo even though I tried the free demo, but this one seems like it'll be a good one.
"No one should have to look Swedish" is the best thing I've heard all year
omg tip number 4 thanks mate!... got a couple of other tips to this is a good start for beginners n1 ;)
im gonna start this game today..... so much info its fantastic :)
Nice tips there mate, I have a copy of this and all its dlc and planning to play it again anytime soon. :)
Thank you. I've got all of the DLC but I've never even tried The Crucible. I haven't seen any vids about it, not that I've searched for them. I'm creating a new character after work this evening to try it out.
"No one should have to look Swedish"...
Earned a sub xD
Just bought the bundle yesterday, fun game, so far.
Great Video. Thanks for the tips.
VERY VERY HELPFUL DUDE,,, THANKS ALOT , i hope i know about ctrl to transfer amount of item that i need in other character
Great video thanks a lot!
Wow, guess I'm kind of late to the party, is your deal with Humble Bundle still up? Was planning to buy GD (complete) this week, so if it's still ongoing, I'll happily use your link :)
LiftingNerdBro! You are the best youtuber for explain Game for beginners, THX :-)
great vid!
Definitely some new tips for me
excellent video dude!! ;)
nice tips, Thank you.
amazing thanks man.
Your accent is a give away for your Danish roots, but the Swedish hobo joke removed any doubt 😂
whats the build you are using at the start?
Hello. Is it possible to switch to the duties in act 3 without doing the tasks in act 1? Or will low level missions be canceled because my level is increased?
Shared bank! oh man! just got this game yesterday and i wish i knew about that before selling everything lol
Nice tips, i just don't like the intrusive way some of the mods work. The crucible tip was really good, didn't know that one!
i played the first 50 levels with magic items on because i didn't want to miss an item to upgrade my character. and indeed i've found many yellow items that were better than greens. But honestly f*** that, the game became so much better when i filtered them out; no more going to town every single map! i wish future ARPG could solve even better the issue by simply not having worthless trash items dropping at a rate of 50/minute that you need to filter out.
I am somehow not finding the blacksmith variations link mentioned in the video. Help?
Did the same thing as you, didn't bother following a build guide, so sucked at later game and put game down for a long time until I got smart.
thx bro!
Wooaaw ... You are my man bro👍
Do you have a build guide for this character?
If I'm going with a focused magic dps build. Wouldn't spirit be better?
complete components button is not in my game. not in bank interface or char interface :/
I've mostly been holding off on investing attributes unless I need it for gear.
I swear a Nord was voicing this video because all I can think about when I hear your voice is Skyrim.
Aside from that, I'll be coming back to this video often, immeasurably helpful as I'm about 40 hours in level 38 pyromancer.
What's a good place to look for builds? I only found really old ones. Completly new player here
So, Im newbie... i only invest in physique? I dont know how invest my points. I dont know if my late game i can not put expecid item.
Just for the first tip I insta subbed and liked
I don't agree with tip #8. personally, and this is just how I like to play so im not saying don't use a build guide, but for those like me one of my fav parts of this game is figuring out a build that works all on my own. ive spent countless hours on grim tools and respecting my characters over and over to find builds that work in elite and ultimate difficulty and I really enjoyed it. its also a great way to learn how everything works in the game as well. the great thing about this game is how easy it is to respec your character. granted respec'ing your devotion can be a bit of a pain at first but once you get a good grasp on the devotion tree that too becomes pretty easy
I'm the opposite with PoE, I definitely am able to make builds but the theorycrafting process is really boring to me, although I do play things that require a decent about of game knowledge to be good. But I completely understand what you are saying, everyone is different though.
Yes, but people who want to make their own builds will anyway, for them it is just a warning that it is tough. And many new people probably just dont know about build templates.
hey there. i like the look of this whirlwind/cyclone style build that you are playing in this video. do you have a guide to that build somewhere? that would be greatly appreciated! i just bought the game and started a dervish (oathkeeper+nightblade) but the guide im using isnt very detailed and i dont know who to ask...im only lvl17 now so i think i would like to change to a build that looks fun and can definitely do endgame content... cheers
7:43 That was slick but I still caught it!
Can anyone tell me what build this is?
You being Danish explains the hate for sweden haha made me laugh even more
Now I know why his voice sounded so shifty the moment I heard it, god damn Danish hobo
It is kunda funny though;
We Danes, Swedes and Norwegians pick on each other pretty hardcore, but if someone not from here tries to mess with us, we suddenly become like "Brothers, Unite!"
I guess our 3 nations show what sibling rivalry looks like when taken to a national level.
is the crucible and the shattered realm different?
Hello, quick question, what build are you using here? Looks like Eye of reckoning, and I have a good chunk of your gear already. I've been wanting to make a spin to win, but I haven't been able to find a good build guide.
awesome!!!!!
In any arpg I play to build my own character, following a guide from my perspective is like playing a custom character that is boring in my eyes.
@Wojciech Pordzik Yeah, it's okay to look up the mechanics to understand them, but use that information to build your own build that's most satisfying. Optionally if you don't like getting stuck you can play Hardcore mode - instead of getting stuck you just die eventually. And you can start a new build and keep learning to get better each time. There's no rush, it's an offline game and you have an entire lifetime to play it!
Thought you sounded aggressively danish then you started throwing shade at those pesky swedes. Thank you for the video bror 🙂
Lowkey thought this was Arnold Swarzeneggar talking.
Are you Austrian by chance? Your voice is great
Hey Lifting! Will you upload a guide for your shieldbreaker character? thanks! :)
It is actually not a shield breaker that I am playing. I am doing a 2-handed Templar (Arcanist/Oathkeeper) instead. I will make a build guide and upload it within the week. I just need to figure out what kind of information it needs to cover as it will be the first Grim Dawn build guide that I release =)
How do you actually access the crucible
How can i import to grimtool???
You had me at Swedish Hobo. 🤣
Can you please give me a build ? I am running Shaman+Soldier im only level 12
You don't have to install the mod for the auto pick up anymore, there is an option in the settings.
Hello LiftingNerdBro :-)
Can u Link me your build of that WW Mage pls? Looks very very nice!
I do not understand loot filter what is it
