One of the random facts I remember from this movie is why Casey Kasem wasn't Shaggy for it. Kasem was a very strict vegetarian, and had already gotten into an argument with HB executives over a Burger King commercial. He had a contract with HB that stated that Shaggy would also be vegetarian and the Burger King commercial broke that so he refused to do the commerical. (Any time you see Shaggy eat meat like items before 1998, the written script would note that it was eggplant or other meat subs to not break Kasem's contract. Even if it doesn't state it to the audience.) The executives insisted that Shaggy was always meant to just eat everything and having him refuse to eat anything would confuse the audience. The script for this movie had a scene where Shaggy would be eating crawfish and they wouldn't cut or edit it, so Kasem refused to record the lines and they got Billy West for the role instead. After it was all recorded and in post production, they offered to Kasem to rerecord the lines over West's and he still refused. I don't know why Heather North didn't play Daphne though.
Love this start to the movie series where they've all grown up a bit and real stakes and supernatural elements have been introduced. One of if not my all time favorite Scooby movie!
I loved this movie so much as a kid. I rewatched it over and over even though it scared the heck out of me. This, Cyberchase, and the Witch's Ghost were the top 3 Scooby Doo movies I watched the most. Loved going down the nostalgia trip. For the upcoming Christmas season I would 10/10 recommend Klaus. One of my all time favorite holiday movies in recent years.
This is the first Scooby-Doo movie I ever saw. The scariest one in fact and it looks more realistic than most, and there's a real monster story here I'd point out like the werecat people, pure evil 😈 😳. The Zombies were scary indeed, but the cat creatures are the scariest for how many souls they drained for centuries just to stay alive a long time up to an evil dark harvest moon appears. All magic comes with a price of course. I'd put this film on a Halloween movie list because of the zombies 🧟♀️. In fact this is what introduced me to zombies before seeing the Walking Dead which I stopped watching when Hershal was killed by the Governor.
You two should totally do a reaction series to Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated! It has an ongoing plot so it's worth checking out and making a series on more than other scooby shows
Which was utterly ruined by litterally everyone in this show having only two brain cells. I watched it entirely and apart for one or two episode it was an utter mess. Not to mention the absolute butchered characterisation of the main cast. The classic Scooby Where Are You is still the best series as of now. I instead recommend you to see the other scooby-doo film made by Jim Stenstrum.
It goes without saying that Zombie Island is one of if not THE greatest Scooby Doo movie of all time! Just as "It's Terror Time Again" is one of the most iconic Scooby Doo songs! Fun fact: Back when this movie was still in production, The casting directors thought about replacing Frank Welker as the voice of Fred. Because at the time for some reason they thought that Frank's Fred voice wasn't as good as it usually is, But boy did Frank prove wrong in fact I can't believe that they would ever even think that. Because out of all the voices that Frank Welker has done over the years, His Fred voice is the one that he's managed to maintain most of all. Even todayy Mr. Welker still hasn't lost it when it comes to voicing that particular character.
As soon as this came out this was our family's yearly favorite Halloween movie alongside Hocus Pocus, probably my fave Scooby Doo movie/content ever and with lots of great family memories for that handful of years in the early to mid 00s
I wasn't sure about watching this movie, but the Cartoon Theater promo for Scooby Doo on Zombie Island had me excited and I try to watch it around October that and the usual Halloweentown, Phantom of the Megaplex, the Headless Cabbie for Hey Arnold, the Reptar Bar Episode from Rugrats and of course Scary Godmother
Alright, I understand why you'd pick Fred for having the biggest animated Kenergy, but that's only because you haven't seen Miraculous. Adrien/Chat Noir has THE Kenergy of all time. The story kinda revolves around it, in a way. The creator even commented on it
Lol 😂😂 yall get on my nerves I like how deeply invested and deep into the movie yall were going Terror Time Again definitely one of my top fav scooby doo songs n the plot and twist was dark yet interesting I need to see if yall reacted to ghoul school reluctant werewolf cyber chase boo brothers witch ghost and alien invaders and if not yall need to get on em ❤
I also like the hunky gardener ❤ I think I suspected him the first time I watched the movie, but I mostly thirsted over him. Loved the commentary about the zombies not really being 100% good guys. Probably my favorite Scooby-Doo movie, which isn't really an impopular take.
it's not animated but it would be cool to see you guys react to the movie Mom has a date with a vampire, I have watched it every year around this time since I was young.
My yearly Halloween movie specials I watch are "Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island" and "Scary Godmother 1&2"

I love that the cat woman, Simone, was voiced by BatmanTAS's Catwoman actress Adrienne Barbeau.

Love Zombie Island. You could react to Scoob! The only computer animated Scooby movie.

YES
48 episodes over 2 seasons and it is the best SCOOBY DOO show.
@@darrinkleyla1587 52 episodes actually
Which was utterly ruined by litterally everyone in this show having only two brain cells.

@@Mr_Perlimpinpin they weren't butchered, the writers just wanted to do something a bit different.
Yes! The real scooby snacks are for people! There are honey ones and cinnamon ones
What i would love to see is you guys ranking your favourite villains or villain songs !
It goes without saying that Zombie Island is one of if not THE greatest Scooby Doo movie of all time! Just as "It's Terror Time Again" is one of the most iconic Scooby Doo songs!

I am Team Gardener, the Group is WAY to hostile to him for what he actually did.
(Also he is super hot)
9:16 I also assumed that Scooby Snacks were just people food that Scooby also like to eat.
Yea, I'm with Alec on the Scooby Snacks. They sell graham cracker snacks under that same name, so I always figured the ones in the show were the same
As soon as this came out this was our family's yearly favorite Halloween movie alongside Hocus Pocus, probably my fave Scooby Doo movie/content ever and with lots of great family memories for that handful of years in the early to mid 00s
The spicy peppers Scooby and Shaggy liked to eat was something that stuck with me.

The reasoning behind the colors looking so good is because they were hand drawn. Around 2000 or so it all started being digitally colored.
The cat monsters of leena and simone are really called the cat creatures (cat people if thinking of return to zombie island)
My favorite annual Halloween special is Winnie-the-Pooh's Boo to You Too!
The original show started in 1969, this movie came out in 1998.
Scooby-Doo let go
Scooby Doo Zombie Island & Witches Ghost are my 2 favs of the Scooby Doo franchise.

26:00 is one of the many moments in here giving Ghost Files vibes and I'm SO here for it

Oh yo Bros, have you seen the Scooby Doo Timeline video on Film Theory? It was good, really cool

Beau the Gardner is voiced by the legendary cam clarke, who also voices kratos aurion n mac from Clifford the big red dog ! Great guy btw

You should more scooby-doo
Did you watch Scooby-Doo return to Zombie Island
There is a follow up called return to zombie island
It's better left unwatched.
What was the joke at the begining? I still don't understand.
