      I was thinking the same thing, like these dudes got played. I am 3 years in as a software engineer. I’m at 160,000. If I’m only making 200,000 17 years from now (heck even 5 years from now) I’m definitely going to be making some changes to something

      @@WisomofHal how many years of college did you have to do if u don't mind my asking

    • @WisomofHal
      @WisomofHal Год назад

      @@WarmongerYT I studied IT, although you can study IT, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, business, or Gender Studies. Having a degree is great, it definitely helps for one’s formal education. For a top company it’s preferable and helps to have a Computer Science degree. With that said, I know software developers who do not have a degree but are very good at developing software (some went to school, but left to work full time). I know some developers who do not have a Computer Science degree, maybe they have a business degree or Statistics degree, and they do well writing software. Once, you’ve landed a software development position it helps to gain as much experience as you can, ask to take the tough tasks or challenge yourself by becoming a subject matter expert. Software development/engineering is different than many other precessions (though there are some like it) because you are always learning new things. A new framework, a new tool, a new language, a new system, etc.
      In the end, a college education helps lay down the foundational courses you should take. Because of the democratic way of the internet, even people who are not attending college can gain access to what they teach in college foundational courses and learn on their own. Some people aren’t capable of learning without a formal structure and some are.
      I hope this helps.

      It's simple supply and demand really. Even if everyone in Seattle started making 100k+ a year, if you increase the markets ability to pay for something in high demand but don't change zoning laws and municipal regulations that restrict supply, you get over inflated housing prices.

    What are some effects of a chronic illness?
    Chronic illnesses have disease-specific symptoms, but may also bring invisible symptoms like pain, fatigue and mood disorders. Pain and fatigue may become a frequent part of your day. Along with your illness, you probably have certain things you have to do take care of yourself, like take medicine or do exercises. Keeping up with your health management tasks might also cause stress.
    Physical changes from a disease may affect your appearance. These changes can turn a positive self-image into a poor one. When you don't feel good about yourself, you may withdraw from friends and social activities. Mood disorders such as depression and anxiety are common complaints of people with chronic conditions, but they’re extremely treatable

      There are Cloud Computing Services. A large chunk of internet infrastructure you rely on today for all your needs (including watching this video) is hosted on the cloud. That needs a ton of software engineers to build and maintain. There's AI technologies, e-commerce, Mobile OS and Apps, I can go on and on. Being ignorant isn't gonna help.
