For higher income people, you should be asking about the name of their college. Then insert a graphic with their school ranking. This will attract viewers like crazy, waiting for that answer and your school ranking... And graph it at the end. Rankings vs wages. ❤
When negotiating, sometimes NO is the answer. Don’t allow that to discourage you from accepting the job opportunity. Gain the experience, and use it as a step towards something better.
Not all tech jobs are the same... I wish I was in Tech right after college, work for 10-15 years, save enough money then invest till you have enough passive income. Then chill at the beach.
Whew.. I'm a couple of certs in and in the midst of a Cloud Computing B.S. I can't WAIT to have one of these conversations. The way I'm going to smile when I say I'm making 150k 😊😂😂
Thank god i was born in the 80's as a 36 year old growing up without internet, your success depended on WHO you knew. All networking and adding value to others 👌🏾 Being a w-2 is SAFE but not my style im a MAJOR risk taker!
Quality Boot Camps are NOT CHEAPER than a certificate from a Community College. My CC offers 6 course Certificate or 12 course Diploma programs; the courses earn college credits and you get all the advantages of being enrolled as a student. As a non traditional student, over 25 my Web Development and Programming associates degree has been free so far due to financial aid.
I see most of them on LinkedIn. Some are created group conferences and other are company provided (Amazon AWS, etc) The next one I align on this level will be in November called AfroTech in Houston TX
BRUTAL TRUTH. For security purposes, get an engineering degree. The market is not good. The days of old are no longer the same. People without degrees tend to get laid off first and don't get as many promotions. Second, have good soft skills. Soft skills can easily propel you upwards and make you a better choice for other companies. Also if the job role is dumb, aka that DEI making 220k, yeah one of the first to get laid off. They get hired for the look and for the company to say they are "diverse". They bring little to no value to a company. Without the engineers there is NO COMPANY. Simple. High salaries are only good if you can keep them for years. 220k and then laid off is NOT good and the possibility of making that again with a lay off is low. Be realistic. Finally, love your channel! Keep up the great work! ♥️
So your comment is a gross presupposition asserting that the DEI are people of color and the engineers are not. Most engineers are people of color-Asians and Indians( which is why Asians has the highest household income in America). You are further, asserting (without evidence) that the “DEI” hire is dumb. Since your comment is asserted without evidence it can be dismissed without evidence.
Rule #1 if you want to get where you’re going. Do not rent an electric car. There’s a reason why they push them, offer discounts and have them readily available. It’s junk nobody wants to drive.
After watching this I think I am in the wrong field. I came currently in college for majoring in homeland security and minoring in business administration. Can someone please point me in the right direction.
Salaries in Pakistan is trash, hearing all those guys earning handsome amount of money makes me sad for myself and my situation. I have 8+ years of experience and a relevant BSCS degree + Cloud certifications but still in Pakistan, I'm earning $20k per year (and it is considered good in Pakistan). I can only wish that one day I will land my dream job too 😥
No. There are always a few BUT they tend to not get promoted and first to get laid off. That engineering degree teaches you a whole lot more than a bootcamp. Many companies will overlook at you.
@utisimedia don’t listen to these folks. There’s good bootcamps out there and they can get you jobs. They don’t necessarily make you better than people with tons of industry experience but they get you started. Some of the best engineers i worked with started in bootcamps.

I would love to see you go to a Cybersecurity conference ❤
We make good money on our end and I think its one of the better sides of tech.

Could make another video in which you ask people working in tech about AI and the hardships of finding a job
Love this channel so much

The first software engineer says he makes 200k while the second one says he makes around 90k.
Software engineering is a broad industry. Some work FAANG some work at startups, years of experience education blah blah blah
