I’m a female but I love watching Sam’s vids. I used to weight lift and then when covid shut down the gyms I got more weight on me and then went through some stuff in life that caused even more weight gain. I’m starting to workout again at home before starting back up at the gym again since I want to get my confidence back but I just love his straight forward facts to working out and some ideas I haven’t thought much of before. 57 here, work 14 hr. days but only a few more years til retirement. I don't do cardio due to time constraints but I get in over 8000 steps a day. After a long break, I'm back in the gym 6 days a week thanks to Sam. I have more energy, clarity since I started back 3 weeks ago..as well I've been taking cold showers for 6 months and it's been a game changer... If you don't think you have time, or are debating the gym, start out with a quick 30 minute routine, 1 body part, ease into it and monitor your macros. Then 45 minutes on up to an hour...When you get older all you have control of is your mind and your body. Take care of it, it's all you've got in the end. Sam is inspirational, but YOU control the discipline. And discipline means fighting thru adversity, getting things done even when you don't feel like it...

Been vibing / auto-pilot in terms of lifting for the last 1.5 years working out 2-3x a week. Actually happy with that but it's been surprisnigly refreshing to push myself hard instead of coast.
I've got too many other interests outside of gym to want to dedicate a lot more time than that but within the time I have, this seems like a vibe. If I burn out that's fine, I'll just keep doing what feels good.
Sam's philosophy of delaying inevitable failure as much as humanly possible is nuts. Just giving it a shot myself.

Here are some reasons why people do cardio on a bulk:
**Maintain cardiovascular health:** Cardio exercise helps to strengthen the heart and improve cardiovascular health. This is important for overall health and well-being, and it can also help to improve performance in the gym.
**Reduce body fat:** While you are eating in a calorie surplus to build muscle, you will also gain some body fat. Cardio exercise can help to reduce body fat and maintain a healthy body composition.
**Improve recovery:** Low-intensity cardio can help to improve recovery from strength training workouts. This is because cardio helps to increase blood flow to the muscles, which helps to deliver nutrients and oxygen and remove waste products.
**Mental health:** Cardio exercise can help to improve mental health by reducing stress and anxiety. This can be especially beneficial during a bulk, when you are eating more calories and lifting heavier weights.
**Overall fitness:** Cardio exercise can help to improve overall fitness, which can be beneficial for a variety of reasons, including sports performance, everyday activities, and overall health.
However, it is important to note that too much cardio can interfere with muscle growth. Therefore, it is important to find a balance between cardio and strength training. A good rule of thumb is to do no more than 30 minutes of moderate-intensity cardio per day while bulking.
Here are some tips for doing cardio on a bulk:
    * **Do cardio on non-lifting days.** This will help to avoid overtraining.
    * **Do low-intensity cardio.** High-intensity cardio can interfere with muscle growth.
    * **Keep your cardio sessions short.** 30 minutes or less is ideal.
    * **Listen to your body.** If you are feeling tired or sore, take a rest day.
    I hope this helps!

Sam won’t be able to go to a public gym soon because he will be mobbed with fans. Sam is probably the most famous bodybuilder we have had since the 90’s. All the current bodybuilders and some of the older washed up bodybuilders are jealous of Sam, that’s why they can’t stop talking about him 😆

If you don’t do cardio, your arteries will get clogged.. and your heart, especially on a bill diet. By doing cardio, it increases your heart rate, helping keep your arteries, clean from plaque and cholesterol, and conditions your heart to be stronger to fuel your muscles. And keeps you a bit more insulin sensitive. It’s just good for you. 💪🏽

Bro, I really love you man and I don't say that to many people these days aside from family. I'm 50 years old. Been Training 33 years and I have very immersed or at least was, into bodybuilding and you my man are by far the coolest, most real authentic guy out there. There have been many awesome men but nobody is you. You are unique in your own special way and I see people either love you or hate you. Many middle aged bodybuilding you tube influences are so jealous of your fame. And you know what's awesome is. You're not even trying and you weren't even looking for that. When all these other guys, that was the primary goal was to create a huge following and make money. I'm so happy to see hostile take you on board. I've always had a lot of respect for him as well. You are going to go so far in this sport. I just pray and it goes without saying that you always keep your health in check. Stay away from coaches That train guys like nick walker and dallas mccarver. Those coaches load their guys up on huge doses of so many different drugs. How I know you have a very busy life now. And you may not even read this. And I've never commented before but I wanna say sometimes I just put you on to listen to your voice because there's something about your tone of voice and your Energy. That is very soothing to my soul

I recommend y’all do static and dynamic stretches. The former post workout in muscle areas where your most stiff and uneven, and the ladder in the beginning of the workout especially more when your doing not so light weights.

Ever since I started watching Sam, I started doing cardio daily for 30 minutes on the recumbent bike that I actually got for free on OfferUp which was awesome and I also decided that after I was done with my 30 minute cardio I would do one set to failure of hanging leg raises. So this way it’s no big deal and that shit will add up. So yeah I actually do both daily. So once again thank you Sam for that 🙏

cardio is the peak of my workouts, i spend majority of the time incline running at 5.0 for a mile and a half. but i do other isolated workouts as well more for mobility like hips and shoulders, not so much with abs
