    How much life insurance did Alex have on Maggie. Follow the money....

    • @lindahammond7759
      @lindahammond7759 2 года назад +5

      Beside the life insurance policy, she had the 1700 acres hunting lodge with at least one home. Alex got it for $5.00 and a few years later in 2016 he signed it over to Maggie for $5.00. Now she wanted a divorce and Alex was going to lose a lot, especially his hunting lodge and home. I think he might have had 4 millions life insurance on the house keeper beside his home owner policy. I feel like hers was in the millions like his life insurance-10 millions.

      BUT . As far as life insurance goes, and he is an attorney knows his very well because they sue insurance companies all the time for clients - there is a Slayer Clause - if your wife and son are murdered you are certainly not going to get that money, and eventually if there's a trial and someone else is found guilty and sentenced, then you may get the money. that's why murdering your wife for life insurance $$ doesn't work

      Altho, in my opinion, he fabricated the addiction in the 11th hour- he knew he was going to jail & that would buy him time out of the slammer; a last ditched effort to avoid it for as long as possible! His lawyer made a comment something along the lines of “he took the pills because of his grief & tried to quit the pills - but went into a really deep depression”..um. Hold up, went into a depression? I’m in recovery & I know for a FACT when you quit, depression is the last thing on your mind- first being, sweating, puking, barfing, crying, aches pains like you read about, more sweating, more shitting your brains out! Sure you’re depressed, but withdrawl is NOT a good time. It’s unreal. This pansy looks like he couldn’t handle any of that business!
      He’s def a murderer, a scammer, thieving from his own, sneaky af, bloated smelly gross ugly f**k....
      This is SO going to be a Netflix series, what a wild ride this is!
      His whole family left a path of disrespectful destruction in their wake..(we don’t really know much about the surviving son?)
      Everything he’s accused of- he did.
      His own wife & son.

    But the State did NOT bring this up in the trial. Instead they allowed the narrative that his relationship was ‘wonderful’ as he states in the Police Car Interview. So many problems with the investigation, the interviews, and the trial. If he walks it is because Alex is powerful and they are ALL in cahoots. They should all be investigated for corruption.

    • @maureenbrown6697
      @maureenbrown6697 4 месяца назад

      The prosecution didn't bring it up because witnesses were afraid to testify about the troubles in their marriage & that they weren't living together when these murders happened. The Colleton County detectives in an interview w/the local Fox affiliate News station said the investigators knew Maggie was living at Edisto & Alex at Moselle. People in their circle knew of problems in the marriage, but didn't want to be identified in court talking about this topic out of fear according to 3 of the detectives.
      Maggie not liking mosquitoes wasn't the reason she didn't like or not stay at Moselle where Alex was living. Her wedding ring wasn't on her finger, but in her car. On the stand Alex stated "I always wanted Maggie to come home, I always wanted Maggie with me." Seemed like a little slip up because that's a weird thing to say if they were living together. Seems more like they kept up appearances, but had probs. If you look at casual photos of them Alex is always posed with a smile & his arm(s) around her, yet Maggie is not smiling or touching Alex. And in court it came out that the weekend prior to the murders Alex & Maggie went to college baseball games in Columbia. Alex spent most of that Sunday, not at the game, but in the hotel room as he was in opiate withdrawal. Maggie had stayed at Moselle Sunday night into Monday after they returned from their weekend trip with some fam & friends to Columbia.
      Something in that marriage wasn't right, and it's too bad Alex has so much influence & so many enablers that cover his BS up.

      Alex walk off with over 2 millions of insurance money on the deceased housekeeper. He, a judge, a banker, and another lawyer figure how to give the money to Alex instead of her sons. I hope they all get exposed and go to prison.

      Housekeeper must have been insured for 4 million apparently by a Alex’s scheme. The house keeper had to know when policy was taken out?. She was apparently ok with it believing her son would get the money? Or was it the lodge insurance? I don’t really know.. The $500,000 was the home policy..

    NO surprise there! The opioid ‘alibi’ was clearly a cover up. This shit is not hard to follow. Wife was going to expose his ass, so he got rid of her and their youngest son. Set things in motion to not only collect life insurance, but also to make sure his oldest inherited everything! He knew eventually he would get charged for the murders, so what better way to avoid that by getting ‘murdered’ himself. Had this been a mystery novel/movie I would have guessed everything by chapter two or within five minutes of opening credits.🥱

    So... let's see, the wife, it turns out, was looking into a divorce and the younger son is a drunken embarrassment under investigation for manslaughter after a fatal drunken boating accident. That's pretty good motive to off them both. He himself is under suspicion for the theft of millions from his own firm. His next actions amounted to attempting to commit suicide with the life insurance payout going to the older son.
    Talk about your dysfunctional family, this is it. This is a modern era gothic horror story.
    Later on they look into the long time maid falling and dying. Along with being investigated in the maid, Alex was also being investigated in his involvement in the boy that was found beaten to death only ten miles from the Murdaugh home. Was he covering for Paul again when Paul drank and became "Timmy"? Who gets first rights to write this blockbuster?
