I'm currently riding a new Madonna V3 in the Alpes de Haute provence and I met a German here that's riding a Jib. He's a better rider than me, but on this trail "heavy"/enduro "light" terrain, he wasn't held back by the jib at all. He said he owns a Madonna as well and is probably going to get the new Jib. From what I saw this is a perfect bike for aggressive riders that want one bike that does it all. I do enjoy the extra plush of the Madonna. On my mellower home trails I default to a hardtail.
Aaand Jibb frames and rolling chassis's are on sale both on bike-components and raaw site. Did they ask you to post a review now? JK JK, love the content! ❤️☮️
Haha, no they didn’t. But since the updated Jibb will be along shortly, we wanted to make sure we got this review out in time. Still a very relevant bike!
Don't imagine the next-gen Jibb weight will change too much, unless they depart significantly and make very different updates to those seen on Madonna V3.
@@TheLoamWolf It’s a tough sell at this weight for me, my SJ Evo alloy with a coil weighs 36lbs at 157/160. I’m still searching for the perfect short travel. Currently on Pivot Trail 429.
@@justinfournier1285 Cole here, I have a SJ EVO as my personal bike and have spent a good amount of time on the Trail 429. The new Canyon Spectral is a really nice fit in between the two. Right now the Spectral is my favorite bike in recent memory! Not stoked I have to send it back :(
Thanks for the review! Been constantly researching about this bike and watching reviews specially after the discount seen on a few websites. Looks like a fun that can be built in so many ways. Eager to see the new version come out before I make my decision to purchase one. Anyways I would never want to pay for an ALU frame more than 1600 euros😅…. Nothing against ALU , I currently ride a 2022 Mega 275 and love it.
Speaking of breaking wheels. Those Silt wheels are made out of cheese. The AM rear wheel dinged pretty badly with less than 4 rides on mellow terrain… Hence the cheap price
There’s more to the bike than the numbers sometimes, 65.5Ha didn’t hold the bike back and we think many will be stoked to not see it go ultra-slack. Lack of MX option is a shame, but still plenty of agility with the 29er out back we’d say.
Cheers Robert! Good to see the Jibb out in the greasy conditions and thank you so much for your findings!
Thanks for supplying it to test. Super fun!
Would love to hear/see a comparison with the Banshee Prime. Very similar bikes on paper and high on my list.

Ahh... not an ebike. So refreshing.
Plenty more where that’s coming from. Thanks for watching

e*thirteen Helix Race Alloy. Beauties for sure!
I always keep my short travel bike it really shred differently, so fun sp agile and can climb and can do trail.
Right on!
In what universe is 150/135mm short travel bike??
In the down country universe😂

Sadly not yet. We’d love to. Tell em you want to see us test it haha!

Effing send those chese wedge booters dammit!!!!😂
Honestly dont know how these tanks are popular. My heavy bike weighs 29 lbs and feels sluggish next to my 27 lber. 36 just seems ridiculous.
Because they’re a lot of fun to ride. If weight is a large priority for you then it’s not the right choice, but for those less concerned it’s a riot.

Why must you? 😈
“Short travel”
Jibb is little bit outdated with 65.5HT and No mx 😢. Pity.
You're a victim of marketing.
