    Really nice and honest review. Probably the best I’ve seen so far considering that you just reflect a down to earth user experience. Thanks a lot!

      Happy to hear that! I had a lot of imposter syndrome posting this video. But I thought, let's just be honest... Surely there must be people like me who think about buying bikes like this. Old enough to be able to afford it, too old to feel immortal. Glad to hear it's appreciated.

    Greetings from Texas. Excellent video and review of the V3. Just subscribed to follow your adventures in the big mountains . One reason I’m considering the V3 is the high stack you talked about, size medium is 650mm which is up to 30mm higher than many others. That cock pit position and geo plus all that adjustability , there is no other rig like the Madonna. Keep up the great work and have fun

    Just compared my Transition Spire to the Madonna V3. The high stack is what I really liked about the Madonna. Makes it better on the steep stuff where you have to put a lot of pressure on the front wheel. Also lets you get it into the air easier.

      I still have to learn how to jump... But in the mountains I do ride a lot of really steep stuff and there this is perfect indeed!

    Enjoyed this. This is in on my list alongside the Transition Patrol, this did sway me. Have emailed to ask about sizing. Nice one

    Thank you for the video. This frame is currently on my list for next year 👍 I think the geo is ideal. I am thinking about buying carbon wheels with it to keep the weight somewhat similar to what I am used to.

    Alu frame and external routing led me to a Bird Aether 9, with a shortlist including only the Airdrop, Cotic and RAAW. Four outstanding bikes.

      I own both the Bird AM9 and Bird Zero frames and would recommend them to anyone as well

    Great review. The limited seat tube insertion is an issue indeed. Also, if you're feeling a bit upper than your ideal position, 1st: it's not good :) and 2nd: you could install a 165mm shorter crankset. Shorter cranks also prevent the pedal strikes due to the low bottom braket. Ruben actually advises to run a 170 or a 165mm crankset on this bike. I love my 165mm cranks... and I love my Madonna. Cheers from France!!! ^^

      Yes very true! I am not bothered by too many pedal strikes. But I am used to low bb bikes so I tend to be more aware of where the pedals are instead of trying to pedal through everything. Enjoy your bike!

      @@ALLMOUNTAINMTB Oh nothing just a planned project for my self-built full sus. I kinda like bike with high stack so Raaw and Banshee have the frames I want.

    How does it climb?
    How does it descent on steep and wet?
    Which length of stem do you use?

    • @ALLMOUNTAINMTB
      @ALLMOUNTAINMTB  5 месяцев назад

      I use a 40mm stem. So far I've only used it on the dry where it performed brilliantly. Wet would mainly be a factor of tyres in my opinion.

      @@MarioB-xx8mk it's more stable and confidence inspiring. I mainly notice that on sections of trail where I'd otherwise be struggling with the bike, I am sometimes not even thinking about the bike.
