Hi quick question about the fuel pump timing. When are the marks supposed to line up on the pump sprocket and the engine case? Is it at top dead center or 45 degrees off of tdc. I have a 2014 328d xdrive US market car. Thanks for the help.

Good night, I live in Finland. After my car broke down and went to scrap, my father-in-law offered to sell me a 2009 model BMW 520D for 7000 euros. The car has 250000 kilometers and has a 2-liter diesel engine with 177 horsepower (N47 engine). He said he did this so we could have a good, reliable car. It is said on the internet that the chain should be changed periodically around 150,000 kilometers. He hasn't changed the engine chain yet, but his car looks really well-maintained and clean. and I know that if the chain breaks the engine can fail. Do you think it's risky to buy this car?
