    Could you tell me which timing chain kit is best to use as replacement? I have a n47d20c and I’m not sure which brand to use. I called Ocean BMW and got a quote but the price was abit too steep. Thank you

      Hi Mr. Mitchell, always the engine original spare parts are the best, for this engine i did use the Good aftermarket timing chain kit, and it works very good.

    I really like your style, now I am looking forward to doing this. Unfortunately, I will have to take the head of because the timing chain slipped on mine. I guess yours was just maintenance was it not? For me it might be that one of the pistons kissed the valves so might need some attention. Also, what is the paste you used for the timing chain upper guides? Is that just some nut locker?

    • @HachemDoesEveryThing
      @HachemDoesEveryThing  2 года назад +1

      Hi Alexandru, Thank you For your Nice Comment, this engine had all chains and guides damaged
      but the valves were not damaged, was lucky :) sometime the camshaft after broken chain they stop some were can not let valves touch the pistons if lucky. !!! the paste that i was use for the upper guides bolts was silicone seal for engine. Subscribe to my channel to watch wore videos like this. good luck and remember safety first always. (( read the description of this video.)) you can ask me question about how to know easy if the valves damaged or not, you are welcome.

    I changed my chain at 130 000, now the car has 260 000 km. I hear a little rattle at startup but lasts only few sec. I also hear clicking noise in idle sometimes. Should i replace it again?

    • @HachemDoesEveryThing
      @HachemDoesEveryThing  Год назад +1

      Hi , Mr. Marin, i think 130,000 Km are a lot of Work for the Timing Chain and can get Damaged Very Easy With the Engine, if keeping using the same Chain and Gears . engine need to have New timing chain kit and in the Same Way Check the Turbo if Playing and makes noise. Thanks for Watching , and Have a Nice Day.
