    My understanding is that preground flax seeds have lost their omega 3 content because omega 3s are volatile oils. When grinding them, one doesn't allow the grinder to get warm either. By all means, use them in cooked foods but the value of the oils will be cooked out. I learned this decades ago from Dr. Andrew Weil. Any news on this topic?

    Ginger is also a natural bronchial dilator so put a lovely nob in your teapot when you have a cold or even allergies.

    Ryan, I bought chic pea flour - will I still get the LDL repellent quality? (I Thin Not - but thought I would ask)

    • @growingpure
      @growingpure  8 месяцев назад +2

      The honest answer is I don't know for sure. But, the LDL lowering qualities of beans and legumes are thought to come from the soluble fibre found in them, so as long as none of the fibre has been removed from the chickpeas in the process of making the flour, I think they would probably still have LDL-lowering properties.

      Good question, but one I don't have an answer to I'm afraid, I'm looking for some myself! I bought a batch of Chinese cinnamon which I'm currently working through, but if I get some Ceylon I'll let you know!
