Biggest issue with bug breaches and bot drops is that they are instant. Just give us a couple of seconds to STOP THEM before they get called instead of like half a second. As it is now if you arent already shooting the call in bot/bug already when the call in starts, the likelihood of it being stopped is basically nill.
and stop the bullshit that scavangers hide behind rocks just to immediately call a bug breach once you kill the bug that tried to call it in, one or to bugs per patrol should be able to call it in, it shouldnt immediately chain to the next living bug until all are dead
Not to mention the headless zombie callers that are still around.
It's not instant, for bugs there is an audio queue, and once the visual queue appears then you have to be very fast indeed, but you can stagger them out of it or kill them if it's a sma bug. For bots it's all visual, if you kill every bot with 1 pistol and 1 blade you should have much less spawns already, and for every ship that comes in you should prepare to shoot 1 of the propellers with something explosive such as an EAT.
In my experience it's a challenge to do this, but it's not too difficult either. And this is good. Imagine it being too easy,.. Then this game would be,.. Boring ?

Patrols should be nerfed a bit
Whats the point on closing bug hole if the spawn rate is so hellish? The more you clear objectives the more they spawn in.
It's utterly stupid... As are the non-stop patrol spawns when trying to capitalize on an objective. Any objective that requires dedicated time should not have non-stop waves coming after you, because it prevents you from dedicating that time to the objective... Unless you're in a group. This is entirely anti-solo.
Ya if you destroy a factory or bug hole you would think patrols would be less and less not be more and more
Earning XP and Renown, so far for me its been a great way to level up quicker despite being new. For me personally I find the rates bugs breach to be way more annoying, one little scout whilst playing with randoms just results in us being forced to run away, split up and expend a lot of ammo and strategems just to get to the next nest over to repeat the cycle for the most part on challenging difficulty alone.
You should be able to close the new ones that pop up
Closing bug holes actually reduces spawns, not increases them, same for bots.
By the time youve taken out the majority of the bases the map becomes very quiet.
Patrols are fine, the people complaining about the spawn rates are the same people that dont know how to coordinate with their team to quickly wipe patrols and reinforcements.
Ive played on helldive difficulty and my team extracts with 90% of the samples and 10 minutes left to extract even with a 3 man team.
Ive actualy carried randoms that were higher levels than me on lower difficulties because they didnt know how to play.
Im not using some meta build either.
Biggest issue is the galactic war missions not scaled to most recent player counts as well as planet liberations. we use to liberate a planet in 24 hours with 25k divers. now it takes 3 days with the same amount of divers. we've lost so much territory
It would be funny if they take over Super Earth and we have to liberats it
The enemies do scale with more liberation, that's what bloody Joel is doing to us. It's harder to liberate planets now because we did it too fast.
I confess that I haven't played Helldivers2 in at least 3 weeks. In addition to the situation with Sony, we have to deal with these damn nerfs. Every time I start having fun with a loadout, a nerf comes along and ruins my game. I'm kinda tired of all this drama.

Balancing weapons is key to keeping a variety of weapons on the battlefield field. If everyone used the same load out because it’s s tier, eventually people will complain about that.
They nerf 3 guns, railgun is already back and viable, eruptor is coming back and i dont know what to do with the crossbow because its concept shouldnt be a primary.
Yet people will say dumbshit like "oh no they will nerf my favourite gun again" no you were just playing with guns that didnt make sense 😂
The drama aside I’m feeling the same, while I try to play it fighting the same enemies, barely scraping any common samples to upgrade my ship, using the same guns because everything in the past that was good sucks and everything new is barebones it gets pretty old pretty fast, I really hope once the Illuminate comes in they add a ton of new features to help add to the game like a bestiary, weapon upgrading and even raids against faction bosses

I noticed the other day that I had between 5 and 10 chargers or vile spewers spawn it. It was crazy!

@@GlitchUnlimited each time I play with bots now I met at least 5 hulk if not more if my team didn't kept moving. So each time there's reinforcement or patrol ganging on objective, we simply abandon it and go to other objective/outpost.
The balancing team claims realism when they don’t want to increase mag size or modify the weapons we use in some way to make their gameplay feel better, yet for the bots they somehow have infinite devastator rockets that can be seen on their shoulders, yet strangely never deplete 🤔
yet no 1 mentions the ragdoll on every terrain now . its gettin so absurd you even ragdoll on the smallest pebbles on the ground
That is a great point. I thought it was just me. I was ragdolled twice yesterday while in prone over the course of about ten seconds. I wasn't hit with a rocket or anything. I was just in prone laying down fire and "collapsed". I stood up (which is stupid; you should return to the last resting position you used), went back to prone, and it happened again...
I rolled down a hill and it took me forever to get up cause the slope haha

On Patrols, I understand Arrowhead adding more patrols, what feels wack is how they head directly towards you now like they’re looking for your GPS tracker, regardless of Scout armor.
Before they do a full revert, I’d like to see the patrol density remain how it is now, but have them patrol like before, near POIs and Objectives, but without a GPS on Helldiver locations. My 2c.

Ive played destiny 2 long enough to recognize a bad pattern. Railgun nerf was a clear enough sign balance team was not firing on all pistons. Everyone told me I was too worried. They've done a little good, but when there's this much bad, it sours all of it
i dont know why everyone always mentions the railgun as an example when talking about bad nerfs, they way they nerf now is absolute bullshit i agree, but the railgun was a perfect nerf for a overpowered weapon, it was absurd that you could 2 shot the armor of a charger in safe mode making unsafe kinda pointless and people always expect a railgun in games to be the most powerfull gun to exist but its just a faster projectile that pens more armor
Railgun nerf was justified. Everyone was running it alongside the standard Breaker for like the first month of the game. That wasn't healthy at all. And in exchange we got the one shot headshot on chargers with rocket launchers or the quasar. This is honestly way way better.
Railgun is your example of a bad nerf? That's one of the best changes they made. Now unsafe mode has a reason to exist.
The railgun nerf was bad because they nerfed it due to a bug allowing anyone playing with a PlayStation host to 1 shot Bile titans in the face. Also at this time the only other viable anti tank support weapon that was viable against bugs was the EAT. This then caused crashes because people were calling down EAT pods every minute and there were too many objects on the map. That's when the Quasar came out and everybody switched to that so we weren't crashing the game with our EAT pods anymore. Now the railgun is effectively back to what it originally was because the unsafe mode no longer takes skill to use and everybody runs it on unsafe if they use it. However nobody wants to use it because now we have other viable anti tank options and its just slower than all of them at killing enemies.
@@bugbug6342 They could have just fixed the bug if that was the only reason. But it wasn't. The Railgun was just simply too good even when working as intended.

Since the last major patch, almost all my friends have stopped and I don't even play that much because the changes made the game feel worse (especially the patrol spawns).
From 300k weekend players to 100k only and they still said the nerfs etc are balanced lol
Doesn't feel fun when you spend 70% of the time running from the enemy 20% of the time engaging and 10% reviving/waiting to be revived. Game needs balance ASAP

I think he just meant Valve must've missed 3 countries from Sony's original request, so they went back on their own to correct their mistake

I stopped playing a few weeks before the new warbond came out. At first it was because I had already explored pretty much everything the game had to offer at that point. Then what started as a casual break due to burnout got further extended after the new warbond turned out to be kinda boring followed by the hole controversy involving Sony. On top of that I just feel like excessive balancing and enemy patrols spawns/behaviour changes killed a lot of the fun for me.
I'd imagine players are getting burnt out because they're been running the same build for a month now and to be frank, it's because there's only 2-3 optimal builds against bugs and bots. Yes you can change it up if you want to either challenge yourself or are simple sick of running the same weapon, but the fact 80% of the stragms., Weapons, and Armors are almost completely useless now do to the nerfs and enemy buffs, players are simple forced to run the meta, or run FROM the literal Armies chasing them.
Bugs have way more viable options though than bots I feel. I'm less struggling with weapons/armor loadouts than with Stratagems. The only that feel worthwhile taking are the 500KG, Eagle Airstrike, Railcannon Strike and Laser. And for the weapons you only want things that blow up a charger or a bile quickly. Everything else except for the Flamethrower in that department feels just ass.
Dude you blow that out of proportion so much. Yes there will always be the top meta builds but no everything else is not useless. I mostly play bots so idk much about bugs but for bots there is only a small handful of stuff that's not viable. Even less if your not solo. I think you re mixing up the literally best in slot for something being viable and fun. There will never be a ton of difference best in slot stuff thats self explanatory. But there is a ton of different loadouts that work perfectly fine

I’ve been in an abusive relationship with the spear since launch. The highs are the highest, but your lows are the lowest
Patrols have become so ridiculous on duos that me and my friend felt forced to open up the lobby to randoms. All you do is kite for the entire game, because once you get into a fight you're not getting out of it so easily. Stealth does not feel viable either since your stratagems basically alert all the bugs to you being there instantly. And it makes it entirely impossible to properly roam the map for loot, which sucks especially when samples and within that upgrades are bound to difficulty. 7-9s with any less than 4 players is just a hassle.
I was trying to play all morning and I would just randomly get dropped from the server and returned to my ship. It started happening to much the game became unplayable for me. I also notice that in almost every game other players would just randomly drop out too so I know it's not just me. I also know it's not my internet either.
Same, the game is a broken mess and gets more broken every update
If your playing on steam try verifying your files, I did that and it stopped dropping me significantly.

What are the devs even thinking with constant weapon nerfs and at the same time buffing enemies and raising difficulty?! This game is supposed to be fun, not a fucking sweat fest.
Just checking, but were u playing any type of defense mission? Theyre near constant in the stationary evacuation (small map) missions as well as the newest defense missions where u have gates and trying to lauch rockets/evacuate high value assets

So true, I've played d6 with a friend and I said, ok that feels harder than 7, let's try this and you will start getting super samples. And it was easier. Maybe they are joking new players with d6 cause if you r playing on d6 and it's so damn difficult, they are scared to touch 7 😂😂😂 (was against bugs)
The playerbase diminished because they balanced out the fun from the game. They are nerfing stuff for no reason, nerfed the railgun becasue there was a bug on playstation, maybe fix the bug instead of nerfing the whole weapon making it unusable, same with the Quasar, it was never overpowered, to me it was just right. Now it's just bad, takes way too much to fire, and if you miss because you flinched from a shot that came from a bot on the other side of the map ? congrats, you need 2 minutes to maybe kill one thing.
The railgun was overtuned. It could 2 shot a bile titan and had no real weaknesses. To me the railgun is now basically a bot gun. It is good at killing hulks and devastators. My issue is that the nerfs go too far and they don't bring weaker weapons up to par with the better weapons. It's pushing every good weapon to being terrible and leaving only a few good weapons left.
Idk about diminished the game went back up to top 10 most played on ps5 when previously it wasn't for like 2 weeks straight

I have slowed down playing as I now only play when my friends are available because Solo play is unbearable. Don't feel like playing with Randos.

Yep, happened to me twice so far.
I was playing a helldive mission yesterday, my team did well, we got all fabricators, did all optional objectives, got almost every sample, all 6 supers, 28/35 rares and 32/37 commons, and we made it to extract, called in thr Pelican-1, and survived until it landed, but when it landed it's back end clipped into the ground and got stuck so it was impossible to get in, we tried many things like trying to blow it up, forcing a reset by running away, dropping directly into it via hellpod, and nothing worked, it was stuck, and so were we, almost 70 samples gone to waste
The decline in playerbase will continue until they revert and refrain from these BS nerfs.

I have not played because I was playing solo on easy and just getting swarmed over and over and over by bugs because they made it harder for a solo player and the last time I played I actually went thru all my lives and failed the mission because of getting swarmed. So I said screw it.
Had really been not enjoying with how the nerfed the guns from detonation warbond. Hopefully I would find the buff actually good.
Yea id be cool if warbonds were delayed to put more attention to QOL given the substantial amount of bugs and lack luster weapons that currently exist already. My love for the game died out a bit as of late.
I havent noticed a difference when playing 3-4 player regarding patrol spawns.
Ever so often, the game will spawn X number of patrols with X being the number of groups (a group is helldivers close to another).
So if all 4 players are apart from each other, 4 patrols will spawn. How close divers have to be to one another, im not too sure.
The issue is that these patrols can spawn anywhere. You could have all the patrols spawn on one player, or have all spawn on the 3-man group so the alone diver doesnt get a patrol this time round. Not a lot of people know this is how patrols work, and It can be absolutely brutal if you get caught by yourself against 3-4 patrols at once.
My advice:
1) stick with your fellow helldivers, and spread democracy together.
2) if away from the team, stealth is your greatest ally when you see multiple patrols nearby. The game has surprisingly indepth aggro system (just like HD1), and learning it will save your skin so many times over.
side note: one the primary objective has been completed, the spawning of patrols double, so either leave it till last, or get ready to spread democracy even harder
My main issue with patrols and spawnrate is that EVEN WITH A FOUR-MAN ARMY WE GET HELLDIVE LEVELS OF ENEMY SPAWNS IN DIFFICULTY 5
Which is ridiculous, I play dif 5 when I join randoms since I don't trust randoms that much (Thanks a lot League of Legends) so Dif 5 has been a sweetspot difficulty for me. Ong, we trigger one fight and we encounter ridiculous amounts of enemies, thank god one of our allies was John Smoldiver and I was sitcking with him all the time to team reload his AC
Has nobody else noticed the bug where if you wait a little too long to get on the pelican it takes off as soon as the first person gets on it and leaves everybody else behind

Maybe they should consider adding in the upgrade system to weapons that HD1 had, it allowed for way more powerful weapons but took some effort to get them powerful, it was fun and sort of made all weapons a viable option

The one main thing a Warbond should have is completely DIFFERENT armor passives. They are mainly reskins of the same passives.
They should have had a cryo gun and/or strategem, freeze with some cold dmg and some armor that does something for you on cold planets.
Can you imagine whats its like to have "conversations", lasting weeks and/or months on whether a video game can be played in a certain country?

I want to see more weapons viable, but I also do NOT want the game to be easy on Helldive. I just hate being forced to take certain weapons or stratagems because there's no good substitutes. For example, I would love to take the MG into Helldive and use thermite grenades against chargers instead of EATs or Quasar Cannon. The more flexibility there is, the more loadouts become more viable and the more fun the game becomes. This is the design philosophy they should strive for instead of nerfing everything into the ground that players enjoy.
The CEO also said AR's need fixing on twitter so hopefully this is reflected in the next update.

the fix for the "cant join" bug is validate your steam files. had this happen a few times in my group. the problem is a single file failing to validate.

Personal buff ideas:
Give AR`s a 3rd more ammo per mag - so its less then an LMG but just more
Rework Armor penetration - WHAT DO I MEAN - simple
Light: Deals damage against soft Targets - and - repeadatly hitting a medium enemy will eventually damage the armor breaking it allowing it to deal damage
(good synergy with the extra mag cap on AR`s)
Medium: Deals more Damage against soft targets - ignores medium armor
Heavy: Vaporizes soft targets - deals damage aswell as stripping medium armor - deals damage against heavy armor
Concussive Rework: AoE Armor stripping - duh why isnt it doing that already?
Direct Weapon Upgrades: by spending Requisition points you can upgrade weapons with the price doubeling each time for balance with the cap being 250k for obvious reasons with the last one needing 1000 Super Credits (ill do the math: U1. 976 U2.1953 U3. 3906 U4. 7812 U5.15625 U6.31250 U7. 62500 U8. 125000 U9.250000)
Add Playstyle: Buff the Ballistic Shield by ALOT and Buff Heavy armor to encourage a Tank Playstyle making SMG`s more useful
Add New Armor Perks:
1. Mechanical Limbs: Prevents Slow down from enemy attacks (enviormental still applies) +25 armor rating
2. Spec Ops: Lowers enemy Patrol Rate when away from Group
3. Sniper: Increases DMG dealth the further away the enemy is (reverse DMG fall off)
4. Demolition Expert: Halfes Granades carried (Down to 2) BUT makes the explosion deal DMG against heavy Targets aswell as increase explosion radius
and retroactivly apply these perk changes to armors already in the game for diversity warn players in advance so they can aquire new armor in cases where it ruins their "build"
Add perks to Helmets to let players have 2 perks at once
I still love the game but the reason I have stopped playing recently cause of the constant disconnects. It's made me afraid to do any missions because I lose all samples when it happens, and it seems like this bug is happening to a lot of other people. Apparently a fix for this is to delete a certain file but I haven't tried it yet. Even if it does work it shouldn't be an issue that the player has to fix, if this is a common bug in the code then it should be focused. Rather than the devs focusing on nerfing stuff.
The biggest issue we have right now, with a player base of over 44 people in our platoon, is game instability. The people that we have gaming nightly, we will have 25 to 30 instances of players being kicked out of game straight to the desktop.
It’s not the same players with the same hardware or the same position regarding IP address. It’s completely random and affects a player in every single match we are in.
The amount of posts online about things that you can do to fix this required drastic steps, changing the game using WordPad, or other things like that is crazy.
This needs fixed immediately. Nothing regarding the games balance has weight when you can’t stay in a game for the full match.
Players should have to do nothing other than to log into the game to play. There should be no coding no word pad no other requirements for the Game to remain stable.
This is someone who has 400 hours in the game. Who also didn’t start having these issues until the most recent patch .

Had a mission yesterday we were not able to complete because of a bug. Mission with a ssd drive, was killed shortly after retrieving from the box. Landed right by the receptacle but ,nobody could pick it up. We tried blowing up the building up that it was near to no avail. Building woundnt blow up and ended with a failed mission
Yah know. Things are starting to look up! Steam said there are ongoing discussions with Snoy about the region locks, Pilestedt is aware of the weapon balance issue and is probably trying to fix it as we speak, we have TONS of new leaks and events coming, and most importantly: the community is lively again. People are posting more clips, memes, and ideas instead of bickering and fighting. I think we’ve (as a community) have managed to create a new age for gaming! And, with caution and awareness, we can continue to build something truly incredible!

The bugs I’ve seen quite a bit of lately is when you call in the extraction and the game only reads that player as the only one there, and if they get on the ship it will automatically leave and anyone who doesn’t get on before them is stuck there, been lost alot of samples they way, and the sky bug(were you get hit into anything and the camera shoots to the sky and you can’t see anything until you shoot your wep)
Yeah, fuck these patrol spawn rates. It’s not fun anymore.

I jumped back on DRG. Waiting for HD2 to fix weapons, spawns, and kick mechanics. Maybe someday they find a way to make solo play more fun.
Same here. Playing DRG and Star Ship Troopers until a big buff for players is coming or new enemy faction comes
Last warbond was nice... But not for those, who bought all previous... It's for new players who want to pay for nice AR
lol it's basically the worst warbond a new player could pick for their first.
Arrowhead owes me so many samples. We often (even 2/3 plays) get a bug where only one player gets into pelican and it immediately leaves.
finally a game where people are worrying about it staying playable after it goes offline, that makes me insanely happy
have not personally ever seen that from a big game, but every live service should do this
I’d also like to mention that students have their exams which can halter the player count, I’m sure during the summer it’s will grow than what it is now.
My biggest problem with the current and last war bonds is that the main weapon was not as good as the primary on the page before which feels like it defeats the purpose of that primary being the centerpiece
I have noticed that bug breaches seem endless lately even on 5, but it's hard to tell since I have no hard data to back this up. The no join thing seems to have gotten better in the last couple of weeks. It used to be me and my brother would NEVER get people joining our squad so we'd always play alone, but now we get people joining in the load out screen, but never once the mission has started. The game is much better with four players imho.
I know helldivers were planning to get us to fight against a 3rd faction... who would have fought that the 3rd evil faction was sony
I used the spear yesterday and man it locks in really fast, most of the time, you still need to have good visibility of the enemy, but much better than before
Honestly I have been still playing daily for hours. Just about the only game I even play anymore. Lvl 115 and have had everything unlocked for awhile. Every new warbond I have fully unlocked within 2 days of release. With that being said…still have yet to get bored and very very rarely aggravated. I love the game so much. I literally use any random weapons/stratagems just feel like using on 7-9 difficulty missions I host and have randoms join. Still have 90% mission success rate and have a blast each time I play. Hasn’t felt repetitive at all really so far. I guess it’s different for everyone but even performance on my pc has been great. Gets better and better each update. Not sure why ppl are complaining about anything honestly. Game feels super balanced and super fun imo
Im taking a small break and patiently waiting for vehicles. I have all staratgems and nearly all ship upgrades and ill occasionally jump in to do my part for the major order.
am i missing something with the spear, i thought it was already fixed, i avoided it because of the unreliable lock on, but lately its pretty reliable, it only doesnt lock on when enmeies are partially obstructed or are in thick smoke/fog which you would expect it to not lock on, it even locks titans from across the map with LoS
It’s been getting better with each tweek, but there are still times where it only partially locks onto targets with a 100% clear view.
My other issue is when it obsessively wants to lock onto much lesser threats like Hive Commanders or AT Walkers instead of the heavy duty threat next to it.

I’ve still been playing. Bots right now even though sadly it looks like we’re going to fail the current major order. Can’t wait for the AR Truth Whisperer and Paragon from the first game. I don’t think patrols are bad. It’s supposed to be hard on difficulty 9. You’re not supposed to be able to explore on the the harder difficulties. Drop down if you’re looking for stuff. You can and should always run away from fights too. Latest warbond was def underwhelming though.
So I have done some testing of their "match making" system and this is how it seems to work for me. (Steam player based on the US East coast in case console or region causes differences.) When I first boot up the game and select a mission to host I get entered into the match making pool for people to join. Once three people have joined that seems to be the limit for a login instance regardless of what I do. For example, I loaded up a mission and launched with 2 PUGs. As we were playing a 3rd joined us a we completed the mission. The first two pugs left when I loaded up a second mission and launched with the last pug. Once we were on the ground I tossed my SOS beacon. We did an entire 40min mission with no one else joining. The last pug left before I launched and had to solo the last mission in the chain. No one joined and I couldn't toss another SOS.
From here I quit out of the game and relaunched. When I loaded up another mission suddenly people joined almost immediately. It seems, to me, that a person who hosts can be allotted a maximum of 3 match made players per LOGIN.
If anyone has evidence otherwise, or is more in the know I would love to learn more. I am tired of trying to solo when my buds aren't around, and I dislike joining others because hosts can be douche bags with kicking people for no reason.
I just hope they add more to the procedural rendering of maps. Like abandoned stuff like cities and much more. It’s tiring to see empty fields and doesn’t feel like “once inhabited Super earth colonies”
Hopefully we get an update that allow us to use Flamethrowers to flame out bug holes and bug breaches. The holes are literally filled with oil, there's no reason I can't collapse it by lighting it on fire.
If they don't want to damage buff the ARs, they should make ALL the ARs mag less (no reload). All ARs would have a max ammo of 240-320. This would make the class differ from other classes and appeal to those who like to spray and pray. To have the ARs differ from each other, they could use spread, recoil, armor pen etc.
One war bond per month is fine. They have to give us something to spend medals on. A buddy in my group was maxed out on everything prior to Polar releasing, and he has acquired everything in it too. I’m nearly at that point myself.
I am glad that there are plans to make Helldivers 2 available even if the game is sunsetted. Nothing is more disappointing than when a game you loved is just taken offline forever.
I also see the new poll is only 12% in the first two votes, I'm glad we can make our displeasure known. I feel bad picking 'I don't like it' though because those guns COULD be good... as soon as the current head of balancing them gets shuffled off to somewhere else and they give the Deagle Medium Armor Penetration, along with speeding up charge time on the 101.

CEO based as always. Strange when the usual situation is reversed: Usually the team members are great and the corporate/head honchos are the problem. This time, we’ve got issues with mainly individuals in a few departments- balancing, and some community correspondence, etc.
I actually think that increased enemy spawns and overall enemy aggression has the potential to really make the game even more fun. Problem is, our weapons kind of stink. Stratagems are “overall” great, but have cooldowns. Our regular weapons are often just disappointing, save for several select choices. But that’s exactly the issue, from what I have seen and heard and talked about, *loads of players have weapons they really would like to use, and build ideas they want to pursue, but they have to choose the more reliable weapons everyone else is using.*
A tip for joining quick play missions,if you dont join within ten seconds hit the R button then wait a couple of seconds and then hit R again and you should join within a couple of times of doing that. I have had 100% success doing it that way.
Yeah I noticed that your ship is just a hub and every time you join a game, new instances get loaded. My solution as one was to drop in get in game and then either hope SOS would be responded or back to ship and then try to connect. And yes insane that so much management is needed in live service.
Patrol spawns are turned up to 15 out of 10. It's so obvious. Played some 7s today and multiple other people commented on how much more opposition there was. We still won but it was way more intense and the spawns were just practically on top of us as soon as we wiped one.
I don't understand why Sony, valve, steam etc are fumbling the ball. Good lord these companies need to get it together
When the Slugger nerf patch dropped I said that the balancing will kill the game. Looking at the constant player count drop I'd say I was spot on.
The game is dying rapidly. I used to have 12 friends on Steam that would play at least 3-4 times per week. In the last 3 weeks, literally only 1 of them even logs on anymore. None of them ever said anything to me, but I don't blame them. The game's not as fun anymore. A constant focus on nerfing popular weapons via spreadsheet and unnecessarily punishing players that aren't in full 4-man groups is insane. I doubt the game will ever recover from this, since I'm guessing a lot of my friends have already uninstalled the game and aren't coming back regardless of any updates that attempt to course correct.
The game feels like the Titanic and the ship captain thinks it's unsinkable.
I actually really like the way the tenderizer performs.
I've been using it a fair amount and it's low recoil and accuracy allows me to kill a devastator fairly easily.
Although I will agree, there isn't anything that makes the weapon really stand out, a lot of these weapons feel like they could have been modded versions of weapons we already have.
As for if I'm still playing, and the patrol changes, I've done a solo hell dive with basically the pistol only.
I've attempted some I was challenged to, like bring a bunch of defensive stratagem (HMG emplacement, shield generator, mines), eruptor, thermite.
I generally don't find the game too hard. I find I need to get better.
I have no problem joining with people in quick play but when I do the game almost frequently seems to crash at some point
I think the main issue is that the game is mainly balanced around stratagems and since launch we've had very few new ones so people are starting to get a bit bored of using the same ones over and over.
Maps are the same story too as they might have different geometry they really all look the same but with different coats of paint.
Ways to get people sticking around for longer is with newer content, new game modes and a new spin on gameplay.
What about a survival type game mode where you try an hold out for as long as you can before choosing to extract, the reward being samples, the longer you stay the more you get but the harder it becomes.
I love helldivers for its gameplay loop but it's getting to the point where its becoming a repetitive grind for medals for each warbond with no real reward.
I'm currently taking an extended hiatus until Sony fixes region locking. I keep up with the game, but am standing on the fact that we dive together or not at all.
Damn, I feel bad for everyone having to deal with crashes and bugs making the game unplayable.. The only reacurring bug I have so far is that there always seems to be at least one person always spawning under the map, instantly dying, on the "tower defence" mission when starting the mission.

I usually like to chill at challenging and that is now where 6 used to be. Just not enough fire power to take out all the big stuff, orbital rail takes too long to recharge and 8 plus charged rail guns to kill a charger. I don't like the team having to run away and skip objectives just to get the main one.
Sounds like too many companys involved with one game when this is just an easy conversation to just talk over and fix

maybe if the game could add a few more armor perks.. like the reduce recoil... there should be speed reloads, speed weapon transition... more ammo in inventory for you primary and secondary depending on the armor...
if its a demolition armor set.. then whatever exploding bonus it should give when using those weapons..
so on and so on...
As an added extra, I would like to see the possibility of swapping traits among armor and having the kit adjust visually. Say, for example, if you apply the "extra ammo" trait, you get a larger stack of ammo pouches on your vest. If you pick the "engineer" pouch, you get more grenades on your vest, or belt. For speed reloads, maybe the magazines are a different color to signify they are "lighter". I don't know. Something to consider. I just hate that they harp on realism, but give traits to armor that don't even match. Like giving "Engineer" to an armor set that doesn't have a single pocket or pouch. Then they tell us it's unrealistic to add ammo to magazines and they'd have to make them larger to fit...

they need to fix revert the spawn rates, most of the weapon "balancing", QoL, warbonds, and internal affairs ASAP. also new maps and modifiers because the game REALLY needs a change. I MISS GETTING OVERRUN IN THE EXTRACTIONS LIKE WE USED TO, IT WAS A TRUE MOMENT OF HELLDIVING.
I like the way enemies are ALWAYS behind you now, especially when soloing. It's still doable, but man has it increased the amount of dives in a helldive.
Strange... Matchmaking is working for me... For a long long time i play only using it. When manually chosing a mission to join i get often error "lobby full" or "failed to join" (get into mission after about 5-7 errors) but when i press "R" to auto find mission i get it quickly (when i waiting 30sec it's long time for me). I'm playing mostly on dif 7/8 and diff 4 (to help low lvl players), using Steamdeck with crossplatform enabled.
The buffs won’t be enough I want my rover and scythe back to normal or my review stays negative
