Coming from Napa that 3rd house is priced very nice , less than I expected

Raised in Carmel and love it but now it’s largely a place for the wealthy who want a second home. If you have kids you’ll likely want neighbors with kids-check out Monterey for that scenario.

I lived in Monterey in 1987/88. Clint Eastwood was mayor of Carmel at that time. 12 of us hung out at the Carmel city hall just to meet him. After a week a cop came out. And graciously told us the Mayor was going in and out of the building thru a back entrance and he wasn't meeting anyone. We went home feeling jipped. But we got some autographed photos in the mail a month later the cop took care to make sure we got something for our time and for being in the military
