Hey man me and my three friends are about to do this drive next week. We have heard that it’s not open but you can still drive on it. Is this true? We don’t mind driving on a few dirt roads but is it legal?
Hey I honestly have not used it coming from Oaxaca City to Puerto Escondido, but if you are going from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca City I recommend you go early morning, I went at 5 am one time and it was super easy because they are not working on the highway. Their is a checkpoint before entering the highway and you can tell the officers their that you have to be in Oaxaca urgently and if you could please pass, that's what I have been saying and they have left me pass. Those are my suggestions my friend.
