Curd Oats Recipe | Weight loss recipe

- Oatmeal itself can help lose weight because it will help you feel full longer than other foods. The fibre content of oats can also aid the digestive system, lower blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of heart disease.
INGREDIENTS:
I cup whole oats
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup curd
2tbsp cubed cucumber
2 tbsp cubed carrots
2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp black pepper
For tadka
1 tbsp olive oil/ any oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2-3 dry red chillies
1 tsp urad daal
few curry leaves
INSTRUCTION:
1. Dry roast the oats in a pan for 1-2 minutes. Now add 2 1/2 cups of water and 1/2 tsp salt in it.
2. Cover a pan with a lid and allow to boil. It will take 3-4 minutes to become soft. Water will be absorbed by oats. Turn off the gas and keep the pan aside.
3. In a small, tadka pan add 1 tbsp olive oil/ any oil in it.
4. Add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 2-3 dry or fresh chillies, 1 tsp urad daal and few curry leaves. Let these crackle for 1-2 minutes until light golden in colour.
5. When the boiled oats cool down completely add 1 full cup curd it.
6. Add 2 tbsp diced cucumber, 2 tbsp cubed carrots, 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds and 1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves.
7. Add prepared tadka and 1/2 tsp black crushed pepper in it. Mix gently.
Your curd oats are ready. Serve it chilled or normal temperature.

I have used whole oats in this recipe but you can also use rolled oats.

Cucumber and curd is not a perfect mix for the body.
Too many calories!! It won't help to reduce weight!! Its healthy but too high in calories!! Too loose weight need to be in caloric deficit!! Healthy foods also won't reduce weight until and unless we are not going under caloric deficit!! Its all about calories when it come to loose weight
I have used this recipe for myself and it worked wonders! I can say that the serving portion matter a lot. A medium size bowl is enough for lunch.
