  • Huge thank you to ‪@CBIOFFROADFAB‬ & ‪@PrinsuRacks‬ for letting us check out their brand new 4th Gen 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad Premium. They opted for the long bed configuration, in the new underground color.
We give it a quick first look and walk around with our team and the guys at CBI and Prinsu showing us what they've done to the truck so far. One really interesting thing about this 2024 Tacoma is that it is already on 35's, Justin from CBI - Prinsu Breaks down how they set this rig up with 35 inch tires.
We were really surprised at how much we loved the overall feel and driving experience of the new 4th Gen Tacoma. In this video we breakdown a very RAW first driving experience with the 4th gen vs the 3rd gen Tacoma.
Sadly we only had a short window to get our first initial thoughts of the 4th Gen and the TRD Off road Premium Trim for the new 2024 Tacoma but stay tuned for future videos as we get our hands on our own new 2024 Tacoma!

I guarantee everyone hating on the new Tacoma, especially the engine, hasn’t test drove one. After my SR5 test drive, I put down a deposit on an OR I’m picking up next week and can’t wait. The only thing I didn’t like is not having a choice of colors w the right options yet, I wanted Underground but settled for the white. Luv those Method wheels, might be what I go with. Good info, guys.

My first turbo was my Ranger and I am telling you I am sold on them big time. I live in Wyoming and drive a lot in the mountains and NA engines turn to crap as elevation increases. Turbos do not lose power at altitude. That and the amazing low end torque. I will never ever go back to NA engines.

OK but remember, even though this one had more gears and more power, how's the torque? Obviously, this one's better but needs more cylinders. I mean, come on, it's a truck, not a sedan after all.

Hope the stock tune is good enough so that we don’t need the OTT … that way we won’t have to pay for more aftermarket stuff.

@@noahpickerill3749 what do u mean more gears? Torque is far better than the v6, I have a 2019 TRD OR and higher elevations really affects it. Turbo will be a great improvement and same or better reliability guaranteed.

Dude, fachk the 4th Gens. That front end looks like shit. Legit had the lights perfect on the 3rd Gen, and they had to fahck it all up by making them further apart.
Seriously, I will do everything in my willpower to stay with 3rd Gen Tacomas until they fix that stupid shit.
Also, what's with that giant ass tablet of a screen? I don’t want a screen that damn big to it's obstructing every a part of my windshield.
I love Toyota, but they completely fahcked the design of this one all up. *YOU'RE NEVER GETTING RID OF MY RAVEN.* (That's what I named my truck :p)

I'm glad they revamped the Tacoma. I never would've bought the 3rd gen with that god awful outdated interior and gutless v6. Taking delivery of my 4th gen next week.

  • @rndsommer40

I have not seen one in person yet. Love everything about the interior and exterior. Would be more confident if they left the same V6 and just gave it an 8 speed transmission to get the power to the wheels at lower RPMs. Other than that i think im sitting this gen out until theres some long term data on those turbos.

Loving the long bed. On a side note, Toyota def did compromise on a lot. First off, they're all made south of the border now. Also, anyone disappointed with the headlights? They look so freaking basic. No more cool DRL strips like on the 3rd gens. Def a step backwards. And the silly button straps to keep the rear seats folded up? Come on Toyota, are you saving that much? And gone is the standard sliding rear window on ever trim. It's now an option, and way smaller than before. I've used mine multiple times to haul longer items, so it's a must. Finally, that exhaust tip is ridiculous. Sticks way too far out and low. It's not as bad on the TrailHunter or TRD Pro. Why can't they fix it for the norms? With all of that criticism, am I excited to check one out and possibly upgrade? Yep.

My 2019 TRD Pro with the 3.5 Motor was gutless, its typical Toyota V6 - Fuel Economy of a V8 and the Power of a 4 cylinder. The 4th Gen is too new to see what issues it has from a reliability /durability standpoint, although there are a few early faults that are already showing (TFL Front 4x4 Issue Video) Things I don't care for: welded in rear bumper, rear shock placement design, instrument cluster looks 80s, no front locker (major fault) and wimpy front tow hooks, Styling is awesome interior looks clean for the most part, but on a real closer look, I think I would pick the Frontier dollar for dollar, truck for truck on this one....
