It's not the manufacture. Manufactures don't own their dealers. The dealers can kinda do what ever they want. If some people are stupid enough to pay ridiculous price. Then let them pay it. I'll never pay over msrp. If anything, I'll wait till I can get a deal.
@@mikemartin3191 I’m not talking about mark ups. Anyone paying even a $1 mark up is an idiot. But MSRPs are definitely up. A 2020 Tacoma off-road 4x4 had a msrp of $39k. Same trim/package now has a msrp of $50-$55k BEFORE any dumb dealership markups
Rear view cameras give you a very wide angle..especially backing up in parking lots ..you can see cars that you cannot see in the mirrors..a huge blessing…

Finally, loving the color choice. As someone who just bought a 3rd gen, I have FOMO haha!
I picked mine up from one of the best Toyota dealerships in the area a couple weeks back and didn't get tire shine and a bow. Instead I got a detail that involved wiping down the pollen with shop rags. Dealership aside, the underground is growing on me with the color change depending on light etc. Aside from investing in detail equipment, it's a pretty sweet truck. It's been a good upgrade from the jeep it replaced. Hopefully someone comes out with a quad 6.5 sub box soon.

I have the last year taco , and im happy i didn’t wait for the new tacos.. remember this isn’t the same taco engine that everyone knows will last forever… right now it’s under the jury
Congrats! Just paid off my 2018, so I will wait a year or two. My truck was about $36k so next time I would go Premium Off Road as well. I’d really like to get that ARB rear bumper as a dealer/parts catalog upgrade.

I have a 2021 Taco and I love it. But I absolutely love the steering wheel redesign It's the little things that are making me consider swapping to the 4th gen Taco at some point.
I finaly pulled the trigger on a blue , trd sport with the 4K trd package .. no dealer mark up out the door 52k.. mud guards , rubber floor mats , back window opens and side mirrors have led . Not that I care about any of those but yeah can’t be more happy with this purchase and it’s a toyota so hopefuly this 4cyl turbo is as good as the last gen.. 🙏🏼
Let us know if after months of owning it, if you are still finding yourself going back to your 3rd gen. I drove the 4th gen it felt good and I still liked the feel of my 3rd gen more.

The gas tank in that truck is a no go your tank is almost full and it says your range is only 222 miles to empty even if its full you would probably only be at 260-270 miles to empty
rides smoother and better than my 2020 tacoma, yes its more money but it can do the same job with newer and better creature comforts and its not as slow and clunky as the 2020. the 4cy engine is actually pretty sweet with the twin turbo. I like it alot!

Not to down it, I'd still be very happy with it, just personally not the biggest fan of how the exterior looks, it looks sort-of like a smaller Tundra/F-150 being extremely square, and the interior is overly square as well, but I love the tech inside, especially the bed camera and 3D renderings. Curious if there are anymore privacy compromises in the 2024, any cameras facing towards the driver/inside, etc.? The 2023 was already bad enough, I had to call and have all of the insane "features" deactivated, the always on microphone, the connected app, and remove consent to all of the driving/use/selling data collection. They punish you by taking away the remote start, but installing a 3rd party with no subscription is a win-win. I'm not a fan of 4 cylinder turbo's either, this was a huge mistake imo, more wear and tear on the engine, a turbo that will break-down and cost several thousand over time, and you won't save any gas mileage because you'll have to push the engine harder to get the same power as the tried and true V6. Will be curious to see long-term use for 2024 1st gen owners.
Lol that tank size must be small. Filled up with under 300 on the tank? I have seen some good videos showing decent mileage, but man that is small. That is like my old FJ that got about 220 total while lift. My Colorado Diesel ZR2 get around 600-650 a tank lol. Can't wait to see more content on the new Tacoma.
It is so expensive but man that is a sweet looking truck. I thought the Chevy looked tops but I am starting to think Tacoma is the best looking in the segment.

I just bought a new Tacoma, 2024 SR5 4x4. It’s my third one, great trucks. I wanted the Premium package or even a TRD package, but due to Bidenomics I couldn’t afford either.
I have factory leather in my 23 TRD Off Road, but since Black is so hard to keep clean, I contacted Katzkin and they made me Barcelona Red Leather for my Tacoma. I sold my factory black leather to a friend who also owns a 23 TRD, so he could take off his grey cloth interior and install the Black Leather from mine. I hope that the Turbo will last for the 300K miles that my Naturally Aspirated 3.5L V6.
Cool truck. Hopefully they got the production process down. Sadly the fancy cameras become less useful when the truck is loaded out with toppers, campers, etc. the sides should still work.
Like i said before, i hope companies sell bigger intercoolers, BOVs, Downpipes & cold air intakes for this Turbo. Because slapping on 35-37 & overlanding gear, & bumpers etc etc is gonna damage that turbo in the long run if u dont let it breathe right or release that exhaust
Good option here. What kind of upgrades are you going to do with it? I was thinking getting the same but with 6ft bed. This is the lower 4 cylinder trim for the 2024s taco. It sucks that the 2024 offroad imax does not have the option for the 6ft bed. This pushes buyers to go for the trailhunter which has the option.
I think they’ll have more options available in the coming years for sure. As far as upgrades we’re looking to do something a little different from what we’ve done so we’ll see what it comes out to.
I have my 2018 TRDsport4x4 6’ longbed 6 cyl. and after this video i love it way more… idk why wheels should be TERRIBLE 😖 on those new trucks also looks like a Nissan Frontier to me. 🤔
Great video. I wish you talked more about the motor and turbo. The tech package is great, but any time a turbo is bolted on it just gets a bit tricky. I bet all the third party tuners are developing a tune for them turbos.

You could have bought a 2023 Tacoma TRD pro last year for 53,500.00 plus 5 grand markup. The new 2024 TRD pro Tacoma is 64 grand plus dealer markup.
