This plugin features 11 different preamp emulations of 11 different real world hardware models... tubes, tape, transistors, solid state, etc.
In this video we talk about the hardware models, look at the saturation characteristics, and listen to each model on a few different sound sources. When possible we compare different plugins that emulate the same models.

Nice. One thing I like about AO plugins is that the gain compensation always keeps those levels in check nicely and is included on every saturation circuit of every plugin.

funny how when putting it through Plugin Doctor the gain is going up and down all over the place when AGC is engaged. Seems like it doesn't work at all.

I did a cleanup of my saturation folder today. This thing (and his Transature) is my go-to. Really good. It can be subtle or growl. Auto-gain is awesome.

Great video!!! You can use alot of these on your parallel master blended into your main stereo mix. Some of these make the stereo mix jump out really nice!!!!!

I thought a preamp was supposed to be put in front of individual instruments, not after an entire composition. Wouldn't that be POST instead of PRE?

That Altec tube one is awesome for the warm, rounded low-end thing. The Telefunken is pretty awesome for that kind of thing too!

No1 : listen to the sound being moved from flat 2d in the back into the space before you doesn't have to do anything with stereo, even mono sound starts to get the shape like its in the room before you nothing to do with reverb or artificial space but pure tube thing... try it on a single instrument like a acu guitar or percusion inst. it's beautifull.

Hi, when you go down to the left and click on the input(?) I assume you are bypassing the effect right? It’s a little frustrating though because you click it on and off so fast you don’t get a chance to really compare.

Chris from Airwindows did a quad Eight console emulation.... He has a very unique approach and I'm not sure if it focuses as heavily in the actual saturation... Would be interesting to mix this with his.
