My thoughts too. If that is the case then it is wonderful news as that much would be enough to ruin anyone giving out ESG loans, Disney are not going to be able to turn that loan into profit and thus repayments, even Disney have conceded that woke does not pay, having ditched their wokeness czar in their sudden need to pivot to profit.
Netflix was going to be destroyed by Disney streaming because of the library of movies alone. Disney also has theme parks, cruise ships, hotels, islands and stores to gather income which Netflix has none. Pandemic= no theme parks, cruise ships, hotels, islands and no stores in which to gather income. Netflix survived and thrived since while Disney has tanked. Old business proverb; where there is crisis, there is opportunity.
@AJVillanueva9000 they have so much sewage in the pipeline I don't see a way to salvage their reputation. It's reached the point where Disney is embarrassing to like. My own kids won't wear or touch anything Disney owns because it's "lame". The park attendance is down, the merchandise is clogging up discount stores, you actually frequently see it at dollar trees and 99 cent stores, the movies lose hundreds of millions of dollars, they don't have Disney pop stars anymore, no one is watching their TV networks. They don't have anything doing well except their cruise lines, but thats not enough to help them. Especially when they have a 10 billion dollar bill coming due for hulu. Oh yeah, I forgot about their failure streaming service D+. That's how well that is doing, it's forgotten.
Imo Disney+ made the mistake of trying to be Netflix. Netflix is for binge watching series, while Disney isn’t really good at providing binge watch series. Their movie catalogue and kids offering could make them an easy different choice compared to Netflix, but they wanted to be like Netflix, so they tried to do lots of Marvel and Star Wars series to compete in binge watching. Netflix is far ahead in that game though, so the outcome isn’t that surprising.

$60 billion in Ukraine war
Disney attendance way down,, lets build more parks with DEI in mind.
Fun fact: the mega-villain of Twin Peaks was named Bob. Bob was the "evil that men do." Twin Peaks is, by many accounts, a show about television/ film. The CEO responsible for the cancellation of Twin Peaks and the forced reveal of Laura's killer was none other than Bob Iger.
Vanguard and Blackrock... duh...
“Untapped potential” in Disney speak = “emptying the pocket books of foreigners they haven’t shook dry yet.
I think its more that Disney ruined all of their properties and brand in general.
@@earthstar7534You’re right. Wait until Snow White 2024 gets released in movie theaters.
And yet the parks is the only thing they made money from during the pandemic.
