It Finally Happened | Landscape Photography | Dorset | Fog

- I have waited all year for this and it finally happened ! After scouting out a shot and waiting patiently I got dream conditions for this area of North Dorset and it gave me a days memorable landscape photography thanks to the fog !

Great Video Daniel, The combination of autumn colours and fog, magic conditions. 10:25, love the colour, obviously quite a high tripod position 10:33, slightly to the right, and more fog, I like the left side of the road with a gentle curve vs the right pretty must straight 10:43, lower and wider, I like this one very much 10:54 central position and slightly lower, the fog is brighter, this 1 is quite mistical 11:50 less leaves more blueish tones in the sky, slightly less pleasing to the eye 11:15, the leaves really make this one and the dark framing left and right, Great image 11:26, I'm not so sure about this one, perhaps a square crop 11:33 the bright fog on the right is disracting, again a narrower crop might have helped 11:43 I really like this one the bright fog is less distraction and your eye follows the road, me favourite!

Thanks so much Andy, yes it was shot LYM the last days of November ! The Christmas break was a bitter disappointment with non stop rain and sadly no fruitful photography trips :/ not looking great this week either sadly ! Fabulous opening footage on the intro Daniel - a real whizz with the production mate. Those conditions were fab and to find colour at the end of November was a real treat for sure. What a selection of images on the slideshow. not a duffer to be seen...wowser., considering you said it was a one shot location you certainly managed to work that road.. Stunning set. atb Al

Some absolutely beautiful images, especially the ones at 11:15 and 11:45, but I did really like the ones of the trees that have lost most of their leaves as well. Fantastic work as always my friend. @@DanielWretham we had a wonderful festive season, hate to see it go! I've scaled back to just doing #shorts videos for a while. Lots going on with our move to West Virginia later this year, but wanted to do something to keep the channel somewhat active.

Great Vid Daniel. You are some man to talk away there and constructively fill up a video that does not have too many different compositions, as you said yourself. Some lovely images and good advice. Fantastic shots Daniel! I absolutely love these type of lanes and you've really done this particular setting justice, thank you for sharing. I frequently ride my bike around Badbury Rings, Pamphill, the farm lanes between Kingston Lacy and Shapwick, and my favourite Moor Crichel. I'm a digital artist myself and these types of places feed the imagination brilliantly! Great stuff!

Thanks so much David, I was so hell bent on getting these conditions for this shot and thought it probably wasn’t going to happen this year so I’m really pleased I finally got it. I don’t know about you but I always seem so unlucky with fog usually and never seen to find forests that have it inside ! Constantly see videos on RUclips from further north of epic foggy conditions in perfect forests yet I seldom seem to get that here so it’s really nice to finally have it ! Beautiful shots Daniel. Love the way you've got the leaves to really pop against the bare trees on the first shot. I love Dorset, and visit family there most years. So envious of all the beautiful places to photograph down there. Will be back there again within the next couple of months all being well.
