Real cause of headache is stomach gas. Removing the gas should be the first step. These facial techniques are good for fatigue induced headaches.

6 m; stand up for bld flow. To neck & head; 2m. Last 2 ex: to relax body.
Better to skip scalp first & do face massage; last of all do scalp & feel it move. Relax also help at h.a as in pranayama .

Is there any Yoga which will release the gas (vaayu) in the hands, spinal cord/back. Once in a while my mom gets this and she will be under terrible pain.
+Karthikeyan Balasubramanian Hello, good to know that the pranayams helped. Usually headaches are caused because of the rise in the fire element in the body, you need to slow down and close your eyes for a few minutes and it will definitely help.
You can look up Vayu Mudra for your mom. It is a very simple hand mudra that will help to release the gas in the body. It can be practiced at all times keeping the fingers in the vayu mudra. hope this helps! :)
