A couple interesting things about When the Levee Breaks. 1. It was originally a blues song written in the 1920s after the great Mississippi flood. Led Zeppelin kept the lyrics and feel, but it is a greatly reimagined version of the original. 2. Bonham's drums sound so amazing - he set up at the bottom of the stairs in Headley Grange (castle?) and mics were hung up the flights of stairs to catch all the deep echoes. 3. A Perfect Circle has a pretty cool reimagining of this song on their anti-war album eMOTIVe.

Dark Side is the best album ever so I’m going with Dark Side. Zeppelin 4 is great though in its own right. Next album you guys should hit is Rumours by Fleetwood Mac.

For me the difference between concept albums like DSOTM by Floyds and "normal" albums is like between a long story format book and a compilation of short stories. One of the thing that makes Led Zeppelin or Tool great is that their "short stories compliations" are still somewhat interconnected into a larger theme, even if songs are quite different from each other like on LZIV.

Would be interesting to see what you guys think of The Who. There was always a tension between Zeppelin and them.

There really wasn't. Zeppelin had no issues with The Who. Pete Townshend admitted later to being jealous about Zep but they were friends. Bonham and Moon were pals and Plant was a Who fan.
It was just Townshend, but really the two bands didn't come across each other much.

"Going to California" is a folk-style song, with Robert Plant on vocal, acoustic guitar by Jimmy Page and mandolin by John Paul Jones. Page uses an alternative guitar tuning (D-A-D-G-B-D or double drop D tuning) for the recording.

The song Four Sticks is called that because John Bonham was using four drumsticks (two sets).
