Gained a stone aged 55 due to chemo treatments including steroid injections but once discontinued body weight gravitated back to 9.5 stone. @@carolwaller9605 I understand that smoking is hard to stop, hopefully one day you'll manage to do that.
What I do suggest is to swap the bag of crisps for a bag of pork scratchings, which have almost no carbs and taste good. Crisps are a high fat/high carb combination (the worst) with no nutritional value. Also, the oil used is very often hydrogenated (check ingredients to see if "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" is found), which means transfat. That is a danger signal as it is well known and documented that transfat consumption encourages cardiovascular disease.

After numerous nights in the hospital, tests and meds for 10 years. Could not breath, couldn’t sleep, just waiting to die. I feel amazing. No more meds. No longer waiting to die. Yes, me too, I love hear other people's experiences. I'm a 66 year old woman and my chin hairs are much finer now. Also my hair is not as grey as it was (and my boss has noticed this too), and several other people have mentioned this too on YT comments, with one lady saying that her husband's chest hair is now darker. I've been low carb since October 2021; recently I've been tending more towards carnivore. I've also got to my ideal weight without trying. I live a sedentary lifestyle and do light hand weights and pilates (stretching and strengthening) because I have back and knee issues. The decrease of weight by 27.5% (80kgs down to 58kgs) plus the reduction of inflammation, is making a lot of difference to how I feel. I also have arthritis so I'm hoping to at least slow the progression of this, especially the narrowing of my spinal column but it would also be nice if my fingers don't get any worse. I took a photo of my hands on a checked pattern the other day so I can notice any differences.

She said "we'll keep an eye on your levels" (I stopped a week after she prescribed it 6 months ago) I'm still having issues with hypertension but I'm being tested for secondary causes now. I walk 5 miles without being winded, I stopped smoking. I feel better 6 months after my stroke than I did ten years ago. I walk further and breath better without all the fat on me. I won't ever go back to that WOE. I want to live. For people like this doctor to say that this way of eating is bad, bad compared to what! Jesus I was almost dead 6 months ago. I'm finally living again. Thanks to you and other great people advocating this lifestyle.

So true all of this. I have had very high LDL for over 35 years, it just doesn't come down no matter what I do in terms of diet and exercise. Exercise I might add seems to be, for me at least, only beneficial when it comes to blood pressure. It definitely reduces high blood pressure with people that have that. The push for Statins is unbelievable, and I have repeatedly said no to them for a very long time, only to be told I will have a stroke or heart attack. The last doctor I saw which was only a week ago said, ...
" You have just gotten lucky ". He went on to say I was playing "Russian Roulette" with my health and then added the fact that I'm still here doesn't eliminate the enormous risks associated with high LDL.
I can totally identify with everything being said in this video.
Does anybody fully understand the chemistry and mysteries associated with the working of the human body ? With all the contradictory information that's around, I would say no.
Some people have healed their bodies with whole food plant-based diets, while others who have tried it over periods of many months and even 12 months and beyond, have had no benefit from it at all. They have continued to suffer with inflammatory disorders and illnesses of varying kinds.
Others have gone on to thrive on the whole food plant-based narrative. The same thing happens with the Keto and strictly carnivore diets. Some have cured their health issues, some have not. It proved even more detrimental for them. Who the hec knows why that is so.
    Honestly,
I can only tell you what I have done I have stayed away, to the best of my ability, from highly refined processed foods. Cakes, biscuits, cookies, many highly processed cereals, anything in supermarket freezers marketed as ready to eat meals, soft drinks or sodas as called in the U.S. All the trans fats, the so-called vegetable oils, and hydrogenated and polyunsaturated oils. I only use OLIVE OIL. I eat meat butter, cheese, eggs, and fruits and vegetables, fresh. I'm just reminded of what is said in the scriptures ..."We are fearfully and wonderfully made "
It's really a case of all things in moderation. Fresh air and sunshine, just go for a half hour walk 4 or 5 times a week, not difficult or time consuming or taxing in any way. I don't think you have to be pupping iron in gyms, and give yourself a fasting day every now and then.
In concluding, just want to briefly address the issue of water consumption. WE are told by doctors today to drink lots and lots of water. At least Eight glasses a day, that's about 2 litres, and I know many people who go even beyond that. There was a time when people only drank water if they were thirsty. The beverages were tea coffee or a little fruit juice, they lived to ripe old ages. Apparently today those drinks are not regarded as being at all hydrating by medics. Its today's society however that is riddled with illnesses at younger and younger ages. Hec man, the food we eat contains water, what's with the gallons they want people to drink these days? Even water in excess can become toxic or dangerous to our health.
Thats about it from me everyone and I'm sorry this is a little lengthy. I'm 75 years old now and feeling fine. Do the best you know how and leave everything else to the Lord, be blessed folks.
Thank you so much for this video.

I don't do carnivore currently and have tried it before and my health was great. I love people who do carnivore, normally, they are the smartest. And it's not a cult as soon as you're mature enough to understand what's really going on in the body.
I adhere currently to the common sense diet. Fruits when available in nature, nuts, and meat. Here and there i will have a pizza because I'm not in a cult, and I'm not dying either. If i developed a condition I'd eat carnivore until the condition cleared, like i do. But I'm not a slave to my diet.

Even with a CTA score of 0 at the age of 65 because of my high cholesterol and my father dying at 54 of a heart attack the cardiologist recommended low dose statin to which I said no. I've since got to my early 1980s weight before children and am metabolically healthy. My LDL has increased, trigs gone down and HDL gone up with a good ratio. That CTA was 1 year after going low carb and remitting my diabetes. I'm glad that I had it done so I have a benchmark. Funny thing was that 6 months later my LDL had gone from 250 to 300 and I thought the GP was going to have kittens with her telling me that you know I want you on a statin and that you are at a high risk of heart disease. Recently after losing the last 4 kgs which got me to my ideal weight I've had to come off my blood pressure drug because I was feeling fatigued; I had reduced it twice before not long after going low carb and had been on a very tiny dose.

I work in pharma. Years ago I worked with simvastatin. There is a famous ph3 study merk did. 4S study. This convinced drs to prescribe 40mg of simvastatin to all pts with raised LDL. There was also a study done by Pfizer that looked at arteriosclerotic plaques in the carotid artery in the neck (probably because it's easy to scan). Anyway, it showed that 80mg of Atorvastatin reduced plaques. This was used to market and establish 80mg Atorvastatin as the standard of care in pta who have had a MI or stroke. It may benefit these particular patients, I'm not denying that. But why not stop ppl from getting the plaques in the first place through lifestyle and diet?
Btw 40mg of simvastatin, most common prescribed drug in UK for raised LDL has still not shown MI or stroke prevention.
Giving a pill and letting ppl continue to be obese and insulin resistant I believe is gross negligence of the part of Drs. As I say, I work in pharma. I have no intention of taking their life long pills so I look after my health with diet, excercise and lifestyle.

I'm on carnivore 18 months and have received many health benefits with a high LDL 163, HDL 78 trigs 70. My first ever baseline CAC calcium score was 1,200. Had not been a member of Dr. Ken Berry's community, I would never have been prepared to defend myself against two bullying cardiologists that used fear tactics to try to get me to comply with their wanted invasive procedures. First wanted me to do a nuclear stress test and I said I wanted the less invasive CAC. I got it. I fired the first cardiologist was booked with the second cardiologist to review the CAC, echocardiogram, heart monitor. #2 wants said the high calcium means I have blocks and wanted to put me under and do an invasive cardiac catherization before first knowing if there was anything to fix. I told him I want to know what needs to be fixed before its fixed and he became visibly upset. I am going to get another CAC by an independent Radiology company because I do not trust the company that owns the scanner and employs the cardiologists. If the 2nd CAC is high I will get a CTA with contrast and go from there. One think is for certain, I will never let those two cardiologists touch me and 2) I found a well-known "keto-friendly non-invasive" cardiologist near me and will see him the end of April. The man you featured in the video is Dave. He is one of the few influencer carnivores who did not need to lose weight when he started carnivore. Read the Calcium Paradox to fully understand. But this is the basics.
It is about K2-4 and k2-7. The traffic cop vitamin that we all did not get enough of for decades because of the lipid hypothesis and the semi vegan food pyramid.
We use K2-4 right away, so it only lasts 4 hours. Cheese, eggs, fatty meats.
We convert k2-7, so it lasts about 24 hours. Fermented vegetables. I take the natto capsules.
K2 works with vitamin D, which you can not make without cholesterol. And retinal A, which about 20 percent of people can not convert at all from beta carotene, and only 20 percent can fully convert. So they need things like meat, eggs and cheese.
K2 is the vitamin that sends Calcium to your bones and teeth and away from soft tissue. And if you go on sites talking about it, in the comments you will read about a lot of people who used it to lower their Calcium score.
Were I live in Canada not a hope I will ever have a Calcium score. But I did have bone density at age 51 while still on the death diet and again 5 years latter. Two years after eating a human diet.
Besides having 1 1/2 of 2 inches I had lost over time, my bone density had increased. And that was just from the food. Started the natto capsules at 58.
At 62 I was carrying something down my ramp and hit black ice.
Suddenly staring at the sky on the ground beside the ramp.
Double checked before getting up and getting back to work. Latter before bed I checked for brusies. Nothing.
As an old white woman I should have had broken bones.

Look up the Korean Cholesterol Mortality Study published in 2019. Over 12 million subjects. No money from Adventist cult food industry or big pharma.
People between 200 and 240 live the longest. Over 240 nothing impressive even at 300 and 400.
Under 200 the death rate for everything increases hard and fast. That includes suicide and violence.
You are sitting at 219. Mine is just barely over 200. Before going low carb/keto my cholesterol was so low my doctor was worried. And my triglycerides were too high.
So happy, but I would love 219. You are sitting in the golden spot.

Why is it that when people get start a carnivore/keto diet they lose significant weight 99/100. But yet we are hyper focused on the high LDL and cholesterol, but everything else is baseline. I feel keto/carnivore have proven something very important and there needs to be major research 1,2,5,10,15 year studies.

I have three senior cats. They're 18, 16, 15. I took the 18 year old for an exam and told the vet to be careful because when you try to draw blood be prepared for a very hard fight. He smiled and gave me a doubtful look because after all I'm a older weak female. The look of shock and sweat pouring from this 30 something vet was priceless. He was actually panting 😂 let's just say my big boy made him a believer. I feed all three a raw carnivore diet 😂

Dr Alo is a flake, in my opinion. He insists LDL is causative for CVD, and that there is no question about that! I got a CAC score almost 2 years ago, my first at 61 years old, and it was a score of 70. I had been doing low carb/keto/carnivore for several years by then, but all my life before that was standard American diet growing up, and during my 25+ years in the sport of bicycle racing from my late teens to my mid 40s it was carbs, carbs, carbs as the go to fuel source for that. So no telling when that damage was done. I do plan on getting another scan done sometime this year to compare it to that baseline and see if there is any change.

@@forester057Yup, beef, eggs & butter is mainly what I eat now. I haven't used veg oil, other than olive oil, in many years, and I don't even use that any more. Also haven't eaten any leafy greens since I had a kidney stone about 5 or so years ago while doing keto, and then first found out about oxalates.

I’ve been keto for years. Animal fat is a minimum in my diet. Main source is cold pressed olive oil, nuts and seeds. Periodic fasting and falling in love with large amounts of all things low carb and green. Avoiding eating anything coloured beige and keeping fruit seasonal. I’ll die of something one day, but I’d rather die after or during a walk rather than slumped in a chair unable to carry my own calorie controlled weight.

    • @Debbie-jz6ef
      @Debbie-jz6ef 3 месяца назад +2

You need more animal fat in the diet not less. Bile is used to digest fats in the body. If you don't eat enough fats the bile builds up in the gallbladder and causes a sludge and eventually gallstones. Many vegans have to have their gallbladders removed because they don't eat any animal fats.

I’m whole food plant based and it has changed my life. Everyone’s family history is different. Heart disease, stroke, high bp, strokes. All meat and cheese lovers! SO, Dr John McDougall had a stroke at a very young age! He went whole food plant based and no more problems. He wrote The Starch Solution. There are people who can get away with eating carnivore, keto and there are people who can’t. Dr Caldwell Esselstyn Jr wrote, How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. He’s also whole food plant based . I think family history is SO IMPORTANT!

Ive watched so many of these videos and on every single one i see sooo many people saying their CAC improved after going carnivore which isn’t supposed to happen. Some go from 100s to zero. Some from 1000 to to 100s. If you have limited time then hell with why not.

Are we allowed to ask those Twitter People who had a heart attack or stroke their vax status?
In the documentary "The Widow Maker" they put a man with a high CDC score on statins and it slowed the progression (APPARENTLY). I'm still waiting to see that done on someone put on keto.

this interview is awesome! I’ve been saying what the cardiologist said: if all markers are good except LDL, then LDL can’t be too bad. I totally agree! After I’ve been on statin for over 30 years, I developed statin resistance. My body hurts like an old rotten lady. After I quit statin for over a year, and started keto, all my blood work show great markers except my thyroid and LDL which went to deep space. However, I felt so much better. No more joint pains, no more liver area pains. However, my doctor made me start statin 10mg. Six months by now my trigger fingers come back! Now I am working on to get rid of statin for good. Also my thyroid could also be destroyed by statin as well. And statin also double my triglycerides! Statin is evil to my knowledge and my own experience. Thank you for the interview.
