I drove Delhi to Siliguri Twice & Siliguri to Sikkim Twice & Delhi to Maghalaya once & Delhi to Shimla many times & Delhi to Amritsar twice & Delhi to Bhageshwar Twice & Delhi to Manali once...Next Delhi to Leh when Lockdown eased..🙏🇮🇳👍
Finally the video i was looking for this Route...awesome CHASE..the beauty and snow was unmatched...However the BIG Q kept coming in my mind was how one can negotiate these BUSES or even small cars coming from Other side ?? The whole route to Spiti is like that only where only a bike can cross from opposite side??..the road is too narrow.... The only way to cross these road stretch safely i suppose is to chase these buses...IMAGINE...if that bus would have come from opposite side ??
@Sharad- Thanks. And interesting observations. Though this road doesn’t go to Kaza. It’s another road from Reckong peo to a village called Roghi. Its very narrow and you have to keep an eye on vehicles coming from other side so as to find a place to give pass. Otherwise one of the vehicles has to reverse. Usually the smaller vehicles reverse to give way to bigger vehicles. The road to Kaza (which diverts from Powari, 6-7 kms before Reckong peo) is infact proper double lane now upto Nako. After Nako it’s single lane but enough space for another vehicle to cross.
@@Himbus thanks for this additional info. I own xuv500 and being the solo driver, I always wanted to enjoy the views too not only keeping an eye on every edge and corner. Your answer gave me that confidence. hope covid gets over soon and I will drive on these roads with my family 😀😀 thanks again.
XUV5OO is perfect for this trip. Currently there are only two risky points on this route. One at Khab Sangam and another one at Malling Nallah. So a SUV is perfect coz I have seen hatchbacks struggling there when I visited in April.
Suicide point is actually a tourist point and it lies between Kalpa and Roghi. You can see it in the video at 3:23 (where it shows a board of “I LOVE KINNAUR”)
