Playing an MMO with hotbars on an xbox controller may seem intimidating, but the game was always made with them in mind! I use my Xbox gamepad sometimes when I feel like sitting on my recliner away from my keyboard.
It's only relaxing until 55 AOEs in a row.

tried to sign up but instead i got an error code. i250. now i have to wait 24 hours until i can make another attempt.
Will it need only GPC or GPC+FF sub?
Unfortunately GPC+FF unless you decide to just keep playing the trail version until lvl 70.

What's the combat for this game like? I normally am out off MMOs because of the combat choices.
Auto combat but select abilities!

Starts off slower, with a 2.5 sec Global Cooldown on average, but higher level you get tons of Off-Global Buttons to interweave, and some classes have faster GCD times.
All this while dodging loads of mechanics. It's actually really fun!
Definitely slower in the beginning, it picks up later because of the ability to unlock over time.

Paying 2 subs isn't worth it imo
You can play the Free Trial which gives you most of the races, 3 Free Expansions (ARR, Heavensward, and Stormblood), and most of the Jobs in this game for as long as you want for Free. Plus the many raids, dungeons, and side content.
That's hundreds of hours of content.
Better play free trial first till level 70, i hope they change it to only have 1 sub type because on PC and PS5 it requires just 1 sub
For this game, its worth it because there's an insane amount of content and they're always adding new stuff.
