    Debating between the WB-LS-YY powerteck, a latpull down with weigjt stack titan or FT to add to my home gym. I already have a power rack, db and many other functional equipment.
    I was just going to buy the ares but I don't know if I will like everything g in one rack specially when working out with wife?

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  2 года назад

      The Levergym is a lat Pulldown and lever arms in one. Therefore, you wouldn’t need to get the Titan pulldown (although you don’t have the convenience of a selectorized stack on the Levergym). I would rather have the Levergym over a standard functional trainer. However, if do a lot of barbell work, I think the Ares is the best option.

      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Год назад +1

      @@pathtooptimalhealth I like both for different reasons. The Multi Station’s pressing station is very similar to the Multipress which I think is a better pressing station than the Levergym. The Levergym isn’t the greatest for the flat press because the arms attach high on the frame. Other than the flat press, the Levergym is good for inclines. I prefer Pulldowns on the Levergym as I’m not a huge fan of the Pulldown station on the Multi System. The Levergym has a smaller footprint, it costs less, and the bench can be removed.

    So just got my leverage gym a few days ago and after watching your video something seems off or different. The plate where you put the pin in for different heights doesn't tighten up fully and contact the square tube it's mounted to and also noticed your able to use the pin holes in back, whereas I can only use front because back aren't lined up completely to slide pin through. This is the part that you put numbers on that I'm having issues with. Any ideas on this because instructions were a bit sketchy in some areas and possibly could have that plate mounted wrong?

    Good workout. We look like we are about the same age. I rub a heat gel like Voltaren (my fav), Rub A5-35, Tiger Balm on my joints and muscles before a workout. It helps to loosen the muscle and the joints in addition to a warm up. It has actually cut down on my joint pain. I saw some Olympic weight lifters do this a few years ago and have adopted it since.

    Some fantastic ideas here - thanks! If i am primarily interested in the Powertec for flat / incline chest push movements and shoulder press (and the dip and fly attachments), do you think their levergym or multipress model would be the better option ? The levergym obviously has way more options / functionality, and while that functionality would not necessarily be wasted, i am wondering if the multipress is the better tool for the specific movements i actually want.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  Год назад

      Based on what you want, the Multipress is the better option. Also, the flat press is better on the Multipress. To make the flat press decent on the Levergym, the bench needs to be elevated. However, I’ve had two Multipresses and 1 Levergym and I was very glad I got the Levergym over the Multipress bc of the versatility.

  • @roro4572

    I was wondering if you can help. Since the machine doesn't have a pull up bar, can you perform pull ups while the pull down bar is resting on those hinges up top? I have the same machine and I'm always worried they might break because I don't know how much weight they can support. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    • @HomeGymHacksandReviews
      @HomeGymHacksandReviews  3 года назад +1

      I don’t know what the hooks are rated for (I don’t think anyone does). While I’ve performed pull ups with an attachment on those hooks, I don’t think it’s a long-term solution for a pull-up bar. If you weigh more than 150 - 175 pounds, it’s probably not advisable. I think a better option is a rack chin on the lever arm handles.

      The arms attach higher on the Levergym which gives you the opportunity to do squats, Lunges, Viking press, etc. Also, because the bench can be removed, the lever arms can be used for dips, knee raises, etc. The Levergym is far more versatile than the Multipress (I’ve had 2 Mulitpresses).
