Thank you! You may still want to get one or the other, especially if you’re relatively strong. I don’t think this hack is a long term replacement for a leg press.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I'm not strong and my left leg is much weaker than the right. This is one of the best exercises you can do with a single leg. I can see how it's not ideal if you are pushing hundreds of pounds. But it's perfect for what I need right now. The levergym is an extremely valuable machine and your hacks enhance it even more!
TODAY SAW UR VIDEO EXCELLENT UR GENIUS.I BOUGHT POWERTEC LEVERGYM IN 2018 .IAM AMAZED SEEING YOUR VIDEOS OF USING THE LEVERGYM PROPERLY.THANKS A LOT FOR UR INFORMATION
Glad to see you doing more of these, for the high pulley row I removed the squat pad from the bar that connects between the lever arms, I then fit a wider hip thruster pad to the bar, I then set the bar so it holds me down at my waist while sitting on the bench, I then slot a second pin in the slot above the lever arms to prevent the arms moving up, this holds me down for doing high pulley rows.
Thank you! Yeah, I thought about rigging something up with the squat bar for this exercise, but this saved me a little time. I did this exercise all the time when I had the high / low pulley attached to the Powertec Power Rack. I just braced the back of my legs against the black piece that covers the guide rods. It was awesome when I didn’t have very much equipment.
These videos have made having my own leverage gym so much better. I don’t have a power tech but something similar but these are so helpful. Especially the stall mat hack for benching.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I’ll do that for sure. Honestly it would take me forever to figure some of these moves out. So the value of your hacks are incredible.
Have you tried using the low cables in conjunction with the handles to do weighted push-ups? You'd need some form of chest harness to hook up to the pulley.
Thank you! They show up a few times in my Rogue Rhino, Levergym Hacks 2, and Titan Loading Pin videos. I think they are also in my Powertec Preacher Attachment video for an exercise or two.
all those things together look like a trap in a SAW movie..lol..its fun figuring out all the different things you can do with limited equipment..good video dude!
Love your stuff. Can you please direct me to the video where you use the squat bar to lean your thigh against while using the powertec workbench low cable to do standing leg curls. Thanks

You did it again hacky! I have two suggestions: for your european viewers like myself: mention not only in inches, but also in cm. The other one is: you are talking in two different speeds: the slower one is perfect. The faster is to fast. Keep up the great work 👍💪
Thank you! I’ll try to work on talking slower, lol! I’ll also try to add cm. I’ve already finished my next review, so I’ll try to include it in the one after that. I appreciate your support!
@@torstenferber5639 you are right. When I had one of the old multi-presses, I wanted to buy the bar for close grip work, but they are not sold individually.
Do you have any idea what the name is of the bar that you doing the leg press on? I've tried to ask powertec but they had no idea about what I was talking about. Really looking to purchase one. Great hacks buy the way.
What is the True floor footprint needed for the machine? With the bench and without using the bench attached? I do assume that you can remove the bench ? Just a follow up question; Lat PULLDOWN’s and Low Rows and Arm curls are able to be done with the machine? Thanks
About 7’ x 6’ - this gives you room to load the weight horns and account for the pulldown arm swinging up. On the newer models, yes, the bench can be removed. And yes, all of those exercises can be done.
Hello, how do you hit the chest correctly with the chest press on this machine? How exactly do I have to lie on the bench? Where does the chest have to be? At what height?
Flat press is a little tricky because of how high the arms attach. For incline, I normally have the handles lined up with my upper chest and about an inch away from touching.

Just picked up a used power tech leverage. It does not have the 4 raised legs that it sits on. It might be a version before that where it was more flat on the base? The safety pin has 3 holes vs the one I see sold today which has one hole. The safe pin and the pull pin are chrome , not black like todays version. It is all black and says power tech leverage. I might want to upgrade the pin that you push in to use it because i do not feel secure since when it is pulled out the squat rail does not catch on it very much for me to feel comfortable. Any input on this?
I would need to see it to be sure, but the squat bar should be fine. You could contact Powertec and ask if they can sell a replacement squat bar, but because it’s an older model Levergym, they may not…worth a try though.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Is it possible to replace the bushing that the squat pin slides into? I am looking into it now but i would like to either make a replacement pin or replace the bushing inside the hole and that would make me happy. ]

Hi dude! See you really rate the powertec equipment. Has Ironmaster ever been an interest to you? Tried it? I’ve got the super bench abs dumbbells and really rate their suff. But machine wise I’m torn between the IM2000 shelf spotting machine and Powertec leverage gym.
I have not tried it, but I have heard excellent things about. It’s very versatile. I wish I could be of more help and tell you, definitively, one is better than the other.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews appreciate your reply 😊 yeah I’m limited on space so really for me it’s a one machine that does it all kind of thing. Bonus to the IM2000 is that you can have it as a rack with jcups and spotter arms. I do love the look of the powertec though because it reminds me of hammer strength style equipment for home use.
You’re welcome. It really is a tough call. Both have the high / low pulley. However, with the Powertec you can sit on the end of your bench for pulldowns; while with the IM, it looks like you have to sit on the floor (maybe without a way to lock your legs down). I would rather have the lever arms than a smith machine; however, like you said, there is the added benefit of barbell work with the IM. Definitely a tough call.
I’m purchasing a used 2011 model next Saturday. It’s a crazy deal (800 dollars CDN). I’ll save 1300 dollars. Am I going to regret having this version where the arms don’t move independently and only 7 adjustable pin points? Or is that sacrifice worth the savings.
That is a good deal and a considerable amount of savings. I don’t think you will regret this version. You may need to use some of the hacks I show in this video to adjust the height of the bench if the existing arm settings don’t fit you. Also, it may be more difficult to get a full ROM for a chest supported row using the arms because the plate posts aren’t removable. If nothing else, this is a good chance to try the Levergym. If you like it a lot and want to upgrade, you can sell this one and put the money towards a new one.
