Good video on how to force bougainvillea to flower.
Teally nice.
I already have what one would say is a good impressive collection of beautiful tender tropical and succulent plants, including 6 desert roses (both varieties; 4 Adenium obesums and 2 A. Arabicums) and an approximate 5-6 foot "Traveler's Palm". I live in Lake Charles, Lousisiana (subtropical with mild winters and no snow), so the majority of my collection stays outside on a east facing porch with 1/2 day of full sun practically year round. I'm sure the local nurseries will carry this plant. Your video had a lot of good info, so I "liked" it. Thanks and happy gardening! 🪴
Thanks. You have a good collection of plants.
Thanq for your information.
So nice of you.

I will give thos a shot. I've got a healthy plant with growth but no flowers. I now think it's been too much water.
Good luck.
I do have a question, I bought my plant and was doing pretty well and beautiful. I put in my garden in the ground with other plants and now. No pink flowers and some leaves are turning light green but no blooming flowers. I do have all my plants on a soaker hose. But it gets full sun and I’m in Florida. Thank you
It happens as a reaction of transplant shock. The will adjust and recover in a few weeks. If you have, feed some seaweed solution.
I have a huge , but it’s totally green in my conservatory it has had about 4 blooms only once in 5 years
Pruning may help.
We took it right back last year now it’s massive but all green
@@maggielace52Give fertilizer to soil and see. If it does not bloom, them do not water for a very long time and then water. It may help.
Thank you for the information... My plant is not in tab it's in my garden but it's not flowering what is the reason
The flowering depends on several factors as mentioned in the video. You could open up the soil, then do not water for a week. Then some cow manure in soil and water well and wait.
Hi..which is the best fertilizer for this plant??and how to do it as a vine plant??
Feed a balanced slow release fertilizer, cow manure is also good. less watering and sun light for more than 6 hours increases flowering. Do not prune the branches to train it as a vine, though there are bougainvillea vine verities.
Will my bougies bloom well under a garden net? Thank you for the very i formative video..
Yes, they should if placed in bright area.
I am doubting because it is not direct sunlight anymore..thank you for the reply sir..🥰
Thank you sir!!
@@lynadalin You are welcome. Even if there is no direct sun light, your bougainvillea may bloom if placed in very bright place.
@@GardenTricks thank you!
Hi! I bought a potted bougainvillea at a local flea market recently. I read articles online how to take care of it and would leave it in the sun for 6+hours and would only water when the soil felt dry but immediately what little blooms the plant had fell off and the leaves started wilting. I’ve moved the plant in the shade and have started watering it every three days and its been growing well. The only problem is it won’t bloom at all! And i can’t put it in the sun without it wilting… should I prune it to see if the helps with blooming? Its growing fine now that its in the shade but there are no blooms at all
Please give a fertilizer high in potassium with very less nitrogen and wait for three weeks. If that does not help then lightly prune. The blooms come on new growth.
I presume, it is summer time at your place.
You may transfer the plant in the next size of pot.
Seeing that you mentioned recently bought a potted bougainvillea, the plant most likely is going through transplant shock. It takes about a month to adjust to its new surroundings. It Happened to me, and I was desperately searching RUclips for answers, but no one mentioned that in their bougainvillea videos.
Please help. My bracts look a bit transparent right after they open and then the tips turn brown. Have you had this problem? She is in a plastic well draining pot. She is not root bound. She blooms profusely so watering is good. I only fertilize about every 2 months as recommended on my special Bougainvillea food.
I have not come across such bracts on Bougainvillea. may be lack of sunlight.
Hello Garden Place Health. Where can I buy the orange bougys? I have been searching forever and can not find them, or the white ones.
