So simple and so cute! Another fun Procreate project. One tip I would suggest is to lock the template once it’s been re-sized. I can’t tell you how many times I have correctly added a new layer for my pattern only to find out that I have been drawing on the template layer. Sometimes a portion of the drawing is on the right layer while the other part is on the template, ugh. Locking that template (or even a layer) has saved me many time from drawing on the wrong layer. Thanks for sharing your wonderful creativity!
You are amazing! 😊 I have learned everything I know about Procreate and drawing in general from you. I purchased your stationary course and am loving it! Thank you for being so generous in sharing your talents with us!
This is an awesome pattern tutorial, Teela! Thank you! If you want to save a repeat tile for uploading to a site like Spoonflower, how would you go about it? Would you use the tile saved from the pattern testing website, or do you need to create the repeat tile directly in Procreate?
You'll want to export the pattern square you made in Procreate as a png and upload that to Spoonflower. The ones exported from Pattern Playground are only web resolution, so they're only meant for mockups/previewing only, not final artwork 👍
Can the saved patterns be used in an app like Spoonflower to create fabric samplers. I donate quilts to my local hospital. They sell them to create scholarships. The fabrics would make super cute baby quilts.
Yes! Just export the pattern square from Procreate as a png and upload that directly into Spoonflower. Spoonflower prefers the default sRGB color mode, so you'll want to make sure you switch over to that one

Those patterns look great. Can the patterns be vectorised in illustrator
They can, though since these ones are on the simpler side, it'd probably be quicker just to make them from scratch
