As a self-taught artist who is into an art career for a couple of years, I must say this is great advice with a helpful exercise! Thank you Mimi, for imparting knowledge in a sincere and easy manner as always! ❤ Also, happy to host The Quiet Artist Club with you✨
there's no better feeling that seeing your skills improve as a self taught artist! I always love watching my older videos to see just how much I've grown as an artist and youtuber 🥰
I've always been a fan of yours for years now, I long to become as good as you, so thank you so much for your motivating words. This video is something I need today to get started. I just realized, all I ever need is just to start. ❤
Dear Mimi, you are a constant inspiration. Thanks for your words always so kind. Since I met your channel, I have been drawing more and more. I don’t know if I want to become an artist professionally, but for now, I’m loving doing it as a hobby, without pressure and learning little by little. Your videos and tutorials have helped me a lot. Your cute drawings inspire me constantly. ❤ By changing the subject, I would suggest a video talking more about the tools you use in your work, such as tablets, brushes and programs. I always get very curious when I see you using a keyboard next to the tablet, rsrsrs. 🤭
Thank you too much you made my day not just my day I think it’s my month you know how many times I heard every video on my day I think in work a bout 4 to 5 every day while I work this light you gave us in every video very good 👍 work and thank for you again ❤🥰🥰🥰😍
I really love this video and I love that so much of it is really about being kind to ourselves when we're not awesome at something we want to be good at. So much of my own journey so far has just been me needing to realize it's ok to be a beginner for as long as that takes. Your stuff has by far been some of the most helpful content on RUclips for me as an aspiring artist. Thank you, Mimi!
Thank you, Mimi. It was very helpful. At the moment, I'm pretty low budget & off grid in mixed ways. I use a daily planner/dashboard business & personal, all in one) hand-drawn in a 5-subject spiral notebook, just page a day, drawn fresh daily, and while it conveniently puts everything in a single place for reference throughout the day and historically (which has come in handy), it also feels lumped together, personal & business. I've been thinking it may be time to create a separate notebook dedicated to my art practice. Happy arting! 💖☮🙏
Thank you for this video 😊. I've just started my art journey and am trying to learn by myself. I don't know what the right medium for me is yet, but I definitely find drawing and painting therapeutic. It also helps me pay more attention to the details in my environment and be less ignorant -- trees are no longer just "trees"; they have names 😁
I like the idea of Procreate but I'm not an Apple ipad person. I've always been an Android lover. I know some people buy a cheap ipad to use preocreate but that's not in my budget. There are programs such as Hipaint that work with Android. Would your courses work with this or is everything Procreate based? My understanding is that they are similar.

I'm definitely self-taught and RUclips played a huge role in the skills I have acquired so far.
