Can I ask where these scenario-based questions are being pulled from? I’m learning a lot just watching your videos, pausing, considering correct answers, and checking with your thought process to arrive at the correct response. The practice question I’ve been reviewing on PMI’s website are nothing like these.
I was pretty confident that the answer for 66 was C, "Velocity and cycle time." and was really surprised to discover that the correct answer was "B", because "B" sounds like it's not a metric or KPI in any kind or form :D
@David Mclachlan. Thanks David. Great presentation and learning as always. How important is preparing for the exam with copies of the PMBOK 6th, 7th edition? Lots of reference made here to the guide. Most training centres provide manuals they developed, probably extracts.
Yes, I use this information but quote the source so you can review yourself as well. The PMBOK 6 is now the Process Groups Practice Guide. I recommend both PMBOK 7 and the Process Groups Practice Guide - they are important for different reasons. Plus, the Agile Practice Guide 😊
For Q 68, the PMBOK Guide clearly states the "The most common baselines are cost and schedule." It doesn't specify if it's for Predictive or Adaptive approaches and there is nowhere in that page or section that mentions the schedule and cost being fixed with stable teams, also the question clearly states that "you first need a baseline". I'm just surprised that D is not the correct answer here!!
it's within the context of the question, it calls for ways to show the customer how the agile project is progressing. Although yes, there's a defined cost and schedule to those projects, the best way to measure progress is by showing them rates of features completed. You could complement by showing cost and variance against features completed. At the end, is showing or proving the work is getting done, not how the money is going away per sya.
David, your positivity and smiles are truly encouraging throughout these videos! Thank you for all that you do! You are greatly appreciated 😊
I passed my PMP. All I did was watch David's video. thank you David
Thanks David! Passing my exam on the 5th! These are really needed! much appreciated.
