Wow, this house is great! I don’t think it looks too cluttered. As long as you can keep it clean and nicely decorated, who cares about a bit of clutter? I don’t usually think of beachy-styled homes as cozy, but I think this looks cozy and inviting. That picture over the kitchen sink is everything! And those turtle placemats! 😍 You did a great job! 👍🏻👍🏻
@foresttales506 Wow, thank you so much, what wonderful compliments! The main time it gets really cluttered is when my young grands come over! Whew, takes about 5 mins to look like a small tornado came through. Lol. I've got a little system though and they love visiting and esp playing and sleeping in the loft so it's all good. I wonder if it's the plants that people are saying mostly makes it look cluttered or just my decorations all around? 🤔 Def been several comments about them but I can't really straighten up that type of clutter, but I like the air cleaning they do for us so plant clutter is ok. Well, unless they took over our counter we eat at and all my little space I have to cook and prep etc. THAT would be too much for me! Thank you for your post! 😊🪴

Absolutely adorable, comfy and cozy ❤❤❤❤❤ You'll find its so much easier to wash, dry and fold at the laundromat. Then go home and put the clean clothes away. I gave my washer and dryer away ❤❤❤❤❤
You know, I think you're right about that actually. In our bigger homes I could do laundry all day and I'd throw all the clean clothes on the couch. THEN, it could take a day or 2 to finally sit and fold and maybe another day to put away. haha. Because we had so much space, and everyone could just go to the couch and find what they needed, I did tend to leave it much more often. (Not everyone does that. My daughter does not want clothes on her couch!) So, in this tiny space, it does get put away right away. BUT, I don't think I'd give them away if I ever had them again. Lol. Esp with 3 of us, it would be nice to have them again for those stormy days of hauling laundry around. Thank you for commenting! 🙂❤

You can get one of those portable washer and spin dryer in it. They are small and work great
@TerriSiler-hv8in I could, but as you can prob see in my little house, I have nowhere at all to set that up. A,lot of neighbors that only have 2 adults, or there's many widows of just 1 in the home, if they add on an add-on room like we did for our son, that would be some great extra space to have that set up. Unfortunately it won't work in our situation though, but start almost 4 years of taking the clothes to the wash house, I'm pretty use to it. Thank you for your comment and visiting my channel! 😊

@erinbrown6962 Thank you so much! It was during covid that we got them and we either had to wait 8 months to get 2 that matched or we could take these 2 floor models, so that's what we did. Lol. All these little Park Model homes come with 1 couch and 1 chair. But, with 3 adults, we def needed 2 full size couches!

Thank you! I was so excited when I found it, and I wasn;t even looking for anything to go there yet when the build was just starting. I have to admit, I love having a window over my kitchen sink, always have and I find most women do. So I was kind of bummed but this fit just right and I adjusted fine quickly. I absolutely love your home! It's beautiful! I love that y'all made an addition for your son and a place for the grandkids! We are living in a shed to house that's far from complete. Oh and I love your plants too! I love the plant shelf❤

This is amazing. I’m looking to get a couple of tiny homes. I’m in NC also. Originally from Wilmington. That’s a big tiny house. I love it.
@L.W.t.D. That's awesome! And yes, it's def not as tiny as many I see on RUclips vids but it's 400 sq ft plus our sons 100 sq ft, so 500 total is way smaller than our last "big" house of 2,000 sq ft! Lol. And since my husband and I don't really spend any time in our sons room, 400 sq ft is pretty much our life. But, for 3 1/2 years now it's been working out great and we really love it still! You're wanting to get a couple of them? That's awesome! Do you have a place for them bc we've learned NC has some strict rules about them. We have a small 3 acre spot not too far from here but we can't put one of these on our own land. ☹️🤷🏼♀️
@@KimwithSaltyLiving yes we have a place and we can put up to 3 on our property. People don’t realize that less is better and less stressful. This is my goal to get all of my children tiny homes(spacious) homes of course but it’ll be theirs. Your son’s room looks to be a great size. You are such an inspiration sis. 👏🏾
That's the way to do it. We have been told we could put 3 on our land but not just 1 or 2
So silly imo. Then it would classify as a business like a mobile park or something. I'd love to do that and create some affordable housing for a few ppl but our land is all woods right now. It'd be a huge undertaking for sure! I hope to hear about you doing that one day! 😃 And what a special thing that'd be for your kids. ❤️

@L.W.t.D. we would if we weren't at the age we are. Hubs is about ready to retire and I've been a sahm for 33 years, unfortunately we're not in the position now to do that. It is a great idea though!

@water2.018 Hi, thank you so much! I appreciate your comment. We can not stand up straight but all of us, including 6ft tall son and husband, walk but we're just bent over. Ours is a Canterbury model and they have one of the tallest loft space. But like I think I mentioned in this video, but def in my Tips and Ideas video, we can all sit tall and normal at a regular 6ft table in a normal office chair. No tiny furniture needed. Some models you actually do have to crawl but can still have a queen bed and storage. But for us, we needed the table/ chair set up. Have a blessed day! 😊

Thank you! The prices certainly vary from model, dealership and of course the location you live ihn. But, from what I've seen they start at about $60k. They definitely beat the prices of many houses nowadays. Much less to clean and take care of so for us it's been a great blessing! .
What do you do for entertainment without the TV give me some tips
@kimberlywheat6278 Hi! Thank you for commenting. We do have that big tv in the living room up on that loft wall we had framed in, so we do watch it sometimes. But, I must admit, it stays with that aquarium screensaver on it prob 80% of the time. Lol.
We do have several things we're all into so it def keeps us off the tv so much. I'm not sure if you've heard of Geocaching but as a family it's the #1 we do for fun. We started it for our son back in 2016. We all love it!
I enjoy making different crafts and also youtube videos now. Hubs is all about his new smoker, he also loves to cook and he builds odds and ends things. Our son is a minor coin collector and will spend 6 hours sitting at the counter sorting coins, then looking for what he needs and then he loves to roll them! Ugh, not me. Haha. We do have a pontoon boat so fishing off that or a dock is fun too. Do any of those things appeal to you? Do you have any hobbies? 😊

@johnhall4856 I totally understand! It was more of an adjustment than the small space ever was. Thankfully they do have a small, 3 set, wash house in the neighborhood. And there's a town washerteria down the street a couple miles, so we've all made it work. Trust me, we'd all vote for that if we had the option. Lol. It's just our way of life now though. We have 70 & 80 yr old couples here, some been here over 12 years, & they've sure adjusted really well i guess. Thank you for your comment!! 🙂

Why would you not be allowed to have a washer/dryer?
@tracycagliero129 it is a bummer for sure. If I could wish for anything to change it'd be that. But, it's the community we're in that doesn't allow models with washing machines, they will allow dryers. I've heard it's something about the septic tanks, that's all I know. Our little community has it's own cute little washateria for all of us so it works out fine. There are models that come with them so if you're allowed them I'd get one of them! 😃 Thank you for your comment.
What company did you buy your Home from? Im looking to purchase a tiny and the only company i know of is Incredible Tiny Homes in Tennessee. I live on the border line of SC and Charlotte, NC. And where are you in N C? Can you stand up in ur loft? And can you move it to other parks?
Hi! I am so sorry I missed your comment. I am not sure how it slipped past me but it did. Let me see about some answers for you. We bought a Canterbury model and live on the coast by Emerald Isle. There are several sales lots for these Park Models in Swansboro/ Cedar Point NC area that is near here. If you google either of those towns you'll find some, but don't look up just tiny homes, you need to specifically search Park Models. I actually don't know of any tiny home builders around here, all the Park Models are built in Indiana. If I was you, I'd specifically search for Park Models in your area bc I can't imagine the cost of shipping from here to the border. I definitely can not stand up in the loft but we all can fully sit in a normal size office chair at a regular sized 6ft table and still have several inches above our heads. Canterbury has one of the tallest lofts and that is what we needed. We all can walk bent over up there but some you definitely have to crawl. It all depends what you need the loft for. Like if just for grandkids to sleepover and storage, people don't need much height. But, I needed my craft area/ office area so it's perfect for that. And the grands to sleepover. I hope that helped. @mariafree6737 the blinds came with the home, do you maybe mean the valance? I got that from Amazon of course! Lol. Seems like many things come from there huh? 😃

@robine6337 Yes! In our community they have the cutest little building with 3 large sets. Amazingly in almost 4 years I've only had maybe 2x that I had to wait about 20 mins to do mine. But, we just end up talking so it's not so bad. 😀 Thank you so much for your comment!

Too much clutter..
Actually, you should've seen my 2,000 sq ft house on 35 acres! I have downsized my clutter SO much it's amazing. But, I do still have some things I'm working on actually that I've accumulated in the almost 4 years we've been living so small. Strong habits are hard to break and with 3 of us use to having "stuff", it can creep in again easily. Some rules apply though, like if we buy a new shirt, another one has to go. If the kids get me a new coffee mug, one has to go. That's not always easy though. All my plants freshen the air so much so we're all good with them, esp since they're mostly up high. Too many plants. Makes the house look messy. And, tiny buzzing insects are always there. Otherwise, the house is beautiful.

So, I can def see how some might think about bugs buzzing around but I promise you, I could not handle that & that would not give me the peaceful & clean air vibe I love. I know most people do know that plants are excellent for the air quality in your home so it would def defeat the purpose of having them if I had bugs all around them. I think my own "general rule" has helped me over the years with my inside plants, starting in our bigger homes, to not have any bug issues. "No outside plants can come inside & no inside plants go outside that will come back in!"
I have friends that bring their outside plants in for the winter & then put inside plants outside for some rain water & fresh sunshine, etc for like a week or so. Nope, not me! It creeps me out too much of what might hitch a ride & come inside!
Also, I do have a few friends that think my plants look cluttery & I get that. But, as long as hubby & son enjoy them, I love them all & the look they give me. I actually just overheard hubs a couple weeks ago telling someone "My wife takes care of a lot of plants inside the house but it feels nice & calming". He's never actually told ME that so it was nice to hear. ❤

I must admit though, in this small house I can't set out any nice big plants like I love, and I have to be careful that I don't take over some actual living space that we need. Like our counter/ table for example. I mean, I guess we need some place to sit and eat. Lol.
