Honestly, the entire theme is peak, but this is the best part IMO.
For those who prefer the Phase 2 (kinda) variation - ruclips.net/video/mMRhFOPEKbU/видео.html
I was originally only gonna post one of these but I decided why not post em both.

This part sounds like a crowd praising him, the new Lord of Frenzied Flame

It's crazy how much of a banger this theme is. Also, this is definitely the best part for me. It really conveys this sense of a Maddening yet elegant dance, which is essentially what this boss is doing. Fromsoft cooked.

I genuinely love how it turns into a waltz once Midra fully loses himself

What I love most about this part is that compared to the rest of Midra's theme, it sounds joyful. Every beating drum, an echo of the destruction that a Lord of the Frenzied flame should bring upon the world. The choir in the first part, singing as though he were basking in the flames that surround him, whereas the second part of the choir sings with a certain sternness, a terror brought upon all those who encounter it. Mocking, THE DEPTHS OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS

This feels like a Dance of Mirda, or maybe the pain he had to endure before we get to him.

I love the simmilarity to the merchant's song in the shunning grounds

The Merchants song was taught to them by St Trina so they could ease the fire and help them sleep.
in the beginning (or beginning of the new loop) you can hear the start of that song before it frantically screaches and get s cut off by the continous syllabales.
It must be a reference. Also fire that they included that into the theme of the Lord of Frenzied Flame. As if the Frenzied Flame, that took over is now mocking that feeble attempt.

Idk why but I get heavy Bloodborne vibes from this theme

Honestly, that entire area reminded me a bit of Bloodborne. Also, a few people already mentioned it, but it really does remind me of like a Mad Waltz, which Ludwig's phase 2 theme also gave me that same vibe.

Same for me, I could be wrong but I think it’s the same composer that did a lot of the bloodborne music

1: It's all the Bass in the OST.
2: It's also the atmosphere of the area. Unspeakable eldritch horror happened here, and it's still here. You are literally facing down something beyond mortal comprehension. In fact, that comprehension itself drives men mad.
      3. Much like Ludwig's phase 2 OST, Midra's phase 2 OST is also LITERALLY A WALTZ.

You need to download the song (make sure it is an mp3 file, otherwise Spotify will not recognize it), go to Spotify, settings, activate "show local files", go to local files (should be located to the left of the screen where other playlists will be), use the search function to find your song by name, and then simply add it to your playlist.

Lore wise, this is a tough one.
Vyke may not be flashy and was unfortunately just an NPC fight in the game, but he was also a Tarnished who was basically primed to be Elden Lord like our character (He's even on the cover), but he fell to Madness and locked himself away, somehow separating his original and his Frenzied self. And like you said, he also had Dragon Cult Incantations, which are canonically extremely powerful.
The tricky part comes in with Midra's transformation into a Frenzied Lord, as a full transformation does in fact give you a massive power boost (we see this both with Midra and our player character), but Midra is stated to still have been a "failed Lord" and compared to the power boost our Tarnished gets in the Frenzied Flame ending (Simply just raising our hands and walking a bit was enough to completely engulf the Erdtree and turn it into a hollowed out husk with the entire top part becoming Ash. Compared to Melina who had to sacrifice herself, which would have a lot of power behind it because she's Marika's daughter, just to set the Erdtree on fire with the Fell Flame to burn away some thorns and said Erdtree was barely effected. Not to mention, our mere existence warped the *entire* world) Midra doesn't come close to our power. Beyond that, we can also kill Midra without needing the power boost as well.
Vyke was basically us before he was corrupted, so it really comes down to how strong is peak Vyke? We unfortunately don't have an concise answer, just that he was at least strong enough to be considered the potential Elden Lord before he became Frenzied. If he is comparable to our strength, then Vyke is stronger. If not, then Midra.

I d go so far and argue that Midra, The Lord of Frenzied Flame, might be one of the strongest beings when we fight him in his prime.
Maybe not Marika, Radagon, or Placidusax, Godfrey or Messmer level, but definitely up there on his way.
The Lord of Frenzied Flame is called "Lord" but upon succumbing is technically stepping directly into godhood with the outer god (The Frenzied Flame) taking over it s body.
The way Midra casually warps his previous broken seal into an eeriely elegant sword, whilst leaving the spike hanging on his (btw broken) other hand whilst using it as a seal and a dagger up close is just Fire. (litterally)
Vyke definitely was a Lords Contender and maybe the strongest one at that time. I d like to think too that he imprisoned himself, not wanting to make such a grand decision himself, since he maybe was aware that he could loose himself in the flame of frenzy and ruin everything, trying to save his maiden, so he left it be. (Shame for Lansseax though..)
Alternatively, his frenzy sickened frame could ve been defeated and captured by Morgott. But then again, his were different times, confirmed at least 5000 years ago.
Still, he was "liked" by Lansseax; A fucking Ancient Dragon, that were considered close to gods themselves. Presumeably one of the elite of Lyendells Ancient Dragon Cult forces AND previous to that he was "well known" as an honorable and influencial Roundtable Knight. The deadliest bounty hunters from the Roundtable Hold. Other than that he s also on the Cover of the very Game, where he is surrounded by ALL of his other oppontents.
Midra on the other hand was allready powerfull sage and despite his descriptions reading, that he "wasn t strong enough to become (/stay) the chosen Lord of Frenzied Flame", I do believe he would absolutely crush anything he came across, if it wasn t for the tarnished to "luckily" keep him from leaving (after opening the box of pandora itself).
[This line here is my headcannon but something about the "endure" and the "vow of the indomitable" (which is connected to "ancient Eardtree warriors") must have similarities, which would explain how a (previously) golden Order Sage endet up on Ser Messmers Crusade of the Land of Shadows, there even is a Church of Marika in the abyssal forest, which wasn t always cursed. All of that would make Midra as a Sage way more powerfull, and his "fall" to the Flame of Frenzy even more concerning..]
As I described above, I d think that Midra would completely incinerate, solely because of his status as litteral God.
HOWEVER, imo, succumbed Vyke or "prime Dragonspear" Vyke would write a completely different story though..

@@revenge3265 I love that take. Peak Vyke on paper would have Lansseax behind him. That would make a lot of things very interesting, imo. And i m not thinking about possible petplay scenarios..
