my mom grew up in Mokpo, and everytime i would go back to Korea to visit my grandparents there, i would complain about how i had to spend time in the country side with nothing to do and not the city. i’ve learned to appreciate the culture of Jeollanamdo, our food, nature, coast side, and the accent that im so familiar with and spoke growing up. i also remember going back as an adult and riding the cable car, which made me see the beauty of it more. thank you for allowing others to see the beauty of Mokpo ❤️

I’m from Edmonton, Canada and I grew up with a girl that was a refuge from Vietnam. She introduced me to Mama noodles at recess where we would take the seasoning packet, with the oil packet and chile packet and shake it up with the dried crushed noodles. To this day I still do that! 😄 I haven’t seen anyone else do it until I saw you, with your mom, having a beer with the grilled dried fish and the dry noodles with the seasoning packet sprinkled on!

One of the things i love being married to my korean wife was her grandma’s place being right opposite the entrance of Jeonju Hanok heritage houses, where your dessert cafe was, and the river running across..so magical and beautiful
I love watching dooby with mom, it is so cute & funny watching them enjoying the food & drink. What I'm amazed at is that at 70, being part Korean and watching these two skinny ladies scarfing all the interesting and tasty food, how do they stay so thin and in shape? I'm drinking my morning coffee and watching the meals and feeling stuffed and I'm not the one eating it. I know it's filmed over a period, but these days, I'm good with maybe one meal and that's about it. I can't handle constant eating, maybe when I was early teens and pre-30, but not anymore. If I went to Korea, it would be great looking, but I'd miss all the meals, as too much food & drink, and not enough calorie burning. Keep doing great videos. Mahalo.

The baby squid one is my fav!! When I used to work at a school they served this and I LOVED IT. One day the lunch lady came out and saw me digging in and got worried, yelling out, "No Emily teacher! It's not spaghetti!". I was like lol I know, it was so funny! Everyone was surprised

The baby squid one is my fav!! When I used to work at a school they served this and I LOVED IT. One day the lunch lady came out and saw me digging in and got worried, yelling out, "No Emily teacher! It's not spaghetti!". I was like lol I know, it was so funny! Everyone was surprised

I watched this with my grandma and I cannot believe how hard you got her laughing!! she would laugh like crazy every time the octopus would squiggle or food would miss your mouth. I turned this on to just watch as background noise but I’m so happy we got to sit down and laugh together. food looks good! small town foods are the best foods. 🫶🖤
