Buldak ramyun is a gift. I will vary the amount of the hot sauce I use depending on what I'm adding in and how I feel that day, but I usually do most or all of it. Love adding dumplings, tofu, seasoned ground meat, green onions, kimchi, and/or bok choy, personally, sometimes also pickled radish. I need to get more greens to stir fry in general, though.

Randomly got this video rec'd to me, and loved it! Definitely checking out some of your other vids. It's obvious you're knowledgeable and it was fun seeing you try these! I LOVE ramen "omelets" using the buldak noodles. I mix the sauce packet into the eggs first, and then add the cooked noodles into that before putting it into the pan. It helps to encase the noodles better and really cuts down on the spice (as much as I love spice, I'm not always in the mood to burn my lips with it 😂).

Thank you for the video, as always your videos are heartwarming like confort food.
I found buldak noodles really spicy so my take on it is to cook them not with water but with coconut milk and the powder and sauce. On the side I like to cook sunny eggs and bacon (lardons) or sausages. You put everything into a bowl and Voilà. As for the spices it is up to you guys, i like to use a bit of garlic powder and other things.

    1. Milk and Cheese Addition
    • Enhances creaminess and reduces spiciness.
    • Tastes like a tomato cream bisque noodle or mac and cheese.
    • Rating: 8/10 - Easy and quick for a comforting dish.
    2. Truffle Cream Ramen
    • Features truffle oil and sour cream for a luxurious flavor.
    • Reminiscent of upscale truffle pasta dishes.
    • Rating: 9/10 - Perfect for a “bougie” ramen experience.
    3. Mayo and Egg Yolk Soup
    • Creates a creamy and slightly lighter texture.
    • Flavor reminiscent of tonkotsu ramen, with potential for adding peanut butter.
    • Rating: 7.5/10 - A quick and satisfying soup option.
    4. Butter Garlic Stir-Fried Ramen
    • Pan-fried noodles with garlic and butter for a crispy texture.
    • Fire sauce flavor dominates, overshadowing the garlic butter.
    • Rating: 5/10 - Effort doesn’t justify the end result.
    5. Chili Oil Ramen
    • Hot oil poured over garlic, scallions, and fire sauce.
    • Balanced flavors with added vinegar and sugar.
    • Rating: 9.5/10 - Silky, flavorful, and worth the effort.
    6. Peanut Butter Ramen
    • Adds a creamy and savory twist with peanut butter.

    • Rating: 6.5/10 - Easy to prepare and enjoyable for peanut butter fans.
    7. Ramen Spring Rolls
    • Includes a summer roll with fresh veggies and a Korean-style deep-fried version.
    • Summer roll lacks cohesion; deep-fried version is compact and flavorful.
    • Ratings: 4/10 for summer roll, 8/10 for deep-fried version.
    8. Ramen Cheese Sticks
    • Features caramelized cheese and fire noodles.
    • Combines indulgence with flavors like hot honey and sausage.
    • Rating: 8.5/10 - Perfect late-night snack.
    9. Ramen Omelette
    • A decadent combination of butter, noodles, and eggs.
    • Slightly burnt butter flavor; not exceptional.
    • Rating: 5/10 - Average, with a focus on comfort food.
    10. Mashed Potato Ramen
    • Inspired by sour cream and onion Pringles.
    • Rich and heavy texture, but difficult to prepare.

What I like about the fire ramen is the stir fry part. I will always cook up some sort of meat. Get it crispy and then add the sauce and noodles. Mix it up and put it in a bowl. Top it with fried egg.

I always mix the cheese powder and chili paste with Parmesan, a raw egg and some cooking water. Then I add the cooked hot noodles. I also add peas when cooking the noodles.

can anything help making the carbonara noodles less spicy? I tried using 1/3 of the spicy package but it's STILL TOO SPICY. A shame because it tastes good. I just don't like feeling like I'm dying when eating a meal. My spice tolerance is in the negatives lmao. Then I tried without the spicy package just with the cheese powder but it tasted horrible. :[

Mix in cheese slices and mayo when you add the sauces! Also adding milk to the water also helps! ❤️

To the carbonara Buldak, I added a drizzle of really good quality aged dense balsamic and about a teaspoon of minced truffle and it was great.

It was. I tried again the other night, drunk, and accidentally poured too much in and totally ruined it so be careful lol. Maybe half a teaspoon or so and I just fully mix it in. And jarred minced black truffle. I’m going to try that version tonight where you poured the hot oil over the aromatics, excited. That one sounded the good.

I add peanut butter (mixed in a bit of the pasta water to thin to make is easier to combine with noodles) topped with chives/green onions and chopped cashews 🤤

With carbonara buldak + cheese I don’t even add milk. I use 1 American cheese slice. Strain the noodles completely but reserve about 3 tbsp of the hot pasta water. Then in a bowl layer in this order cheese slice, 3tbsp hot pasta water, hot drained noodles, seasoning packets. The cheese gets a head start melting and then everything begins to mix in easier, then you don’t have to wait for the sauce to thicken because you’re not using all that water. Ends up same consistency as regular creamy sauce pasta without any drip.

I’m in Australia and after trying one of the carbonara noodles, as is, I can confirm that the other packets have just been hibernating in my cupboard for 3 months because it was too spicy 🤣you’ve made me curious if I can dull the spice down a bit now and make something delicious that suits my palate ❤
