    I just appreciate your story telling skill which highlights your pride as Korean. I watched the Kdrama Itaewon and you just elevated what someone like me picks up from Korean shows we follow not that we/I take all of it as real but showcasing Korea gives us what’s behind those shows and the Real Korea. ❤ . You are very talented.

    Oh my god, that neck-breaking twist in attitude from that guy bluntly telling you to move your purse to “OH MY GOD DOOBY!” Pretty satisfying. And you were so nice to him afterwards… I would have been a dick!
    Y’all, use your manners with everyone, you never know when Dooby will show up right next to you.

    In Mexico, we have a very similar dish to the battered, stuffed, and fried gochu, but it's a larger pepper (we call it "Poblano" pepper), and the dish's name is Chille Relleno. Can be stuffed with fresh cheese, beans, and some stews like "picadillo" or Basque-Style Tuna. For serving, the pepper is bathed in savory tomato sauce and normally sided with refried beans. It's super homey and comforting!

    Also, Moroccan tea is green tea and mint. And Casablanca has one if not the best Moroccan sandwich even in Morocco.
    Oh and friend chicken! And the butcher in front of it! I miss those people! And the ladies at the supermarket a little further down…
    Hope everyone is ok!

    • @marinaa7994
      @marinaa7994 Год назад +3

      @@zainebhidoussi1498 Well, the tea was the most Moroccan, but she thought it was black tea, and I took that too personally lol But all of the other items are common in Moroccan street food. Morocco has influences from other cultures, like many other countries. Although harissa is very common in the Maghreb, so agree to disagree about the Tunisian origin. Though I know it's very popular there. But why that sandwich was called a Berber sandwich makes zero sense to me. Other then marketing lol

    All about this episode is sentimental because it reminds me of my favourite small local restaurants from hometown, I mean this kind of hometowns and neighbourhood memories almost everyone hold onto endearly. Not like franchise and big famous restaurants but they always give familiar vibes and homey kind of warm feeling.

    The reason to enjoy a light roast would be to taste the range of flavors that exist in the natural coffee bean. Most of those flavors are stripped when it's a dark roast. Used to be an only dark roast fan but I've learned that medium and light roasts boast an amazing range of flavors that are unique to the particular origin of the coffee beans. Worth keeping an open mind to that if you enjoy coffee in my opinion.

At the time, I didn't walk around Itaewon, thinking it was a town full of things that go in and out of fashion at a very fast pace...Your video has shown me that I knew nothing about it. Gurl! I feel you on the first restaurant you went to with the cold acorn soup. I started going to a place called Kimchi house with my childhood best friend and her family. They were Korean and would take us at least once a month. They worked a ton, so when they both had a day off, we would go and eat for HOURS and hangout. I almost never saw anyone that wasn’t Korean in there, and all the banchan was self serve. The ladies that ran the business have multiple gardens around the tiny building, and would sometimes make my friend and I tend to the garden before we could grab food. I ate there yesterday and found out that they are closing down in a month. It’s so sad, but I’m glad they will have more time for family now. It’s another legendary community staple that has to close down for some high rise and chain stores.
