The Nebula is by far the optimal blend of firepower, personnel requirements, resources and versatility. Can do most everything the Galaxy can do with moderately less of everything. There is a reason Starfleet built so many. When I see what the Nebula is capable of, and look at the ships like the D'Deridex or Valdore, I think the Romulans are just insane for wasting so much material and personnel on ships that deliver relatively little for the resources necessary to build and man them. The K'vort, Galor/Keldon and Nebula are the MVPs of Alpha/Beta Quadrant fleets in terms of utility and resource requirements.
Valdore is kinda the way of nebula with probably a little more direction into severeign war ship. Its nowhere near to be what D'deridex was/is. Tbh if you look at D'deredex'es size it will probably be super easy to upgrade as because of all the space in the hull and should easy stay for another 50-100 years or so. Valdore wont be so easy to upade as its much more custom tailored to its job from what we can see.
Why bother with qts when your launchers are well-suited for streams of cheap, high-yield photons? They don't require rare materials and can be restocked at any convenient supply depot, or slowly replenished using onboard means.
@Euripides_Panz quantum torpedoes do far more damage, that is why. That is why Federation starship were outfitted with them in the Dominion war and developed for engaging the Borg. Lakota is one example.
I really love the war Nebula. It's wild the crew is only in the 700's though. Must not include civvies and the like. I really like the damage patterns at the end. Seems much better than the ridiculously oversized chunks missing like other damage textures. ❤❤❤❤

Which ships? Did you see them fire?
There were only 3 ships that used Quantum Torpedoes in the shows, the Enterprise E, the Defiant, and the Lakota. Not all ships were equipped.
@Rob_Morrison_GB and the Intrepid class could fire them. Could of had some on Voyager if that weapon probe didn't kill itself.
Mauraders vs Dominion and Cardassian ships would be fun to see. What if the Ferengi had joined the war?
