$949 for THAT printer?! .. I rather buy a Prusa. Seriously.
Yeah. I do agree. 😂. However some people don’t have the technical know how (or don’t want to learn it) to be able to print. Then again Prusas can come prebuilt can’t they? 😬🤣
Looks to me like a Prusa I3 and an Ender 3 crashed into each other at high speed and rebuilt itself from the rubble.
all linear rails. and a direct drive. Potentialy better the the Prusa mk3...
@@ingoclever1722 Z axis isn't linear rails. So not "all" linear rails. Also Prusa is also direct drive ?
@@adspijnqadw oh I wasnˋt aware. Thanks.
WXUN is is one of the tools Mr Myagi used to teach Daniel karate.
John Hammonds yes and WXOFF happened a few times before Joel fixed the Z-axis coupling!
When US companies start trying name themselves like a Chinese company, the tables have definitely turned :)
I am so lucky. Right at the end of the stream I managed to tell Joel about Nylon K from MatterHackers as no RUclipsr apart from MatterHackers themselves has done a video on it yet, even though you can just buy it whenever. It is a Kevlar composite rather than Glass or Carbon. Meaning it has ridiculously great wear resistance. This as well as Nylon’s self lubricating properties makes it perfect for gears. I’m the only person I know having tested it but it really is cool!
One problem is because no one knows about it, the price is extortionate. Here is the link if anyone has the money and is interested in it. In no way am I affiliated with MatterHackers, I’m just trying to spread the work of this really cool filament. 😉☺️ www.matterhackers.com/store/l/nylonk-kevlar-fiber-filament-05kg/sk/MXTJFMYQ
Also guys would you mind upvoting/liking the comment so Joel can learn more about the filament in the morning, the stream cut off before I could answer his question. Thanks 😊
www.matterhackers.com/store/l/nylonk-kevlar-fiber-filament-05kg/sk/MXTJFMYQ
Link to the filament please?
@@francistaylor1822 It was in my comment that began with ‘one problem’. But here it is anyway: www.matterhackers.com/store/l/nylonk-kevlar-fiber-filament-05kg/sk/MXTJFMYQ 🙃
There is no Umlaut version of W.
Only vowels can be Umlauts, and of those, only Ä, Ö and Ü :)
The W Umlaut is a fantasy letter I believe
Your correct way overpriced, especially when they are using 3d printed parts on the 3d printer for sale to inflate the price>>
i got a ender3 pro and have added the ezr extruder and a btt e3 main board going to add the micro swiss hot end then i be set
and its way cheaper with the upgrades than 1200 bucks after it gos off sale as i dont know anyone that will spend that kinda money
So it´s no longer an Ender .... just the bones. Brand it your way.
Greetings from Arlington, WA.Thank you Joel, loved the stream. I like the printer with all that's built on it and the fact it has an Arm processor but for the actual price point, I wouldn't consider it. The features I enjoy on my MK3 the 1k+ price turns me off. If they keep the $950 assembled, I'd consider it for my shop. Currently I'm waiting on the Mega and what Joseph has to show in their game especailly if the keep the price in the mid 1k price range.
Same here😆
Only 24min in and was about to comment great job for a fully assembled 3D printer that actually IS fully assembled for once, then you reveal the spool holder still needs assembly. So we’re still not yet at a place where you buy a printer, plug in the power cable and start using just like every other household appliance. Ticks me off the constant false advertising, as someone who later in life lost the use of the left side of my body, what you all see is a simple assembly task becomes a tortuous process over a week for physically disabled people. Then of course its hard to know if printer problems are manufacturer faults in my unit or because I wasn’t able to hold heavy parts carefully with one hand while holding wires to one side and threading a long bolt accurately. Enquiring before buying I am always told if i buy the fully assembled printer it will be fully assembled but in reality its not even close. I’m not rich to maybe try an expensive fully enclosed type printer that should actually be fully assembled. Maybe one day there will be honesty, same day pigs fly and politicians tell the truth i guess.
Maybe try one of the Qidi printers like the imate s
I guess I was the only only one that was thinking he was gonna mention that the hex keys came ironically in a 3d printed holder
Nice printer, but I have a problem paying almost $1000 for a printer loaded with plastic 3d printed parts... No way. I won't be buying one.
Filament bubble pop at 1:55:40

This is the same price as a Prusa MK3S+
seriously?
Price is high for that size printer. Would be nice to do the video on the mess CR6 is. Thanks
Yeah that thing is a mess. 😂
it has a lot of high end parts that add more to the end price. you don't have to go buy and then install them. as you would with the CR6.
i just sent you an email to your bussness email
got the form but dont have your email
i have tried to send to yo but it wont work
Meh You can get a fully assembled prusa mk3s proven machine for the same price that works straight out of the box as well.
Or work extremely hard on a Prusa kit and get better than pre built performance after a bit of time and a lot less money
It's like 20 hours from Shoreline to FoCo, I wouldn't exactly call that "drive-able" to pick something up lol.
an interesting stream as always,.. too bad i could not see it live
Great idea with the design contest! though please dont let it end up as a popularity contest (community vote)
Totally agree. It shouldn’t be the best because it happened to be made by a big Redditor or some kind of influencer. It should win as it’s the best design!!!
Not bad. I think this printer has to be gone over completely in order to perform. How hard the y-motors driving looking for the end stop tells me that belt tension is wrong. I build my own similar style fully 3d printed printer which blows this one out of the water tho. ruclips.net/video/rRha5tUdHbU/видео.html
The printer has a few warts, but the part came out really nicely in the end.
Good luck to wuxn.
Technically, this does not qualify as "out of the box" 3D printing. I did say "technically." :) ;)
my first printer was a tevo tarantula pro but the aluminum extrusion the y carriage rides on was warped so the bed moved up an down as it printed an it made the prints wavey if u was able to get it to stick an tevo was going out of buisness or changing names at the time or something so i either had to spend money to fix it or send it back an get something else so i sent it back an spent alittle more an got the ender 5 cause the first one scared me away from the bed moving on the y axis, but now i have 12 printers of all types so i got over it with my anet printers.
it came detached because you rub the pei plate with your oily hands u cant touch pei at all
what's the best bed level probe everyone recommends currently using a 3dTouch/bl touch is there something better
Butt ugly and over priced. Even if it works well gotta pass at that price. Papa deep pockets might see it as option.
why is it disruptive innovation?? how is it better than a Creality one? it is costing at a bit less than a 1000 buck??
Thank you! i started 3d printing with my lil-1 on youtube videos she loves it
1000 dollors 3d printed 3d printer?
thanks i started making youtube videos for the diy 3d printing ppl
when can we see the Reviews of the WXR? Its been like a half year...
It would be great if you would have some videos showing printing different materials and the problems you have with them and show how you adjust and get them to print, i think that would help a lot of people out there, myself included. Good job with what you have done so far.
CNC Kitchen does a few videos kinda like that. But I do agree it would be nice to have some sort of summary video of it from Joel. :)
Made in the US but needs a name that sounds like it was made in China.... Says a lot doesn't it.
i agree the name isn't that good.
What filament did you use for the test print?
Bringing the pickles home. That's all a kid really needs in a dad. :)
OK, this video is two years old, and now they only sell PLA, and I can't find the printer on their page at all.
I see a printer on that site!
This is overpriced 3 D printer. I made my own 3D printer for under $150 using Arduino and upgraded to dual extruder. This is a single extruder machine for $1000..... meh...
If they are trying to market as Made in USA product then i am sorry all the electronics is from China and using a made in China filament to print 3D printed parts. At least they could have added a touchscreen interface.
Is there any 3d printer you would recommend that isn't kickstarted and already comes assembled ....i purchased a prusa years ago and it never worked and i also kick started the obsidian, which i will probably never receive. I still want to try getting into 3d printing is there anything you recommend?...
Not the greatest printer... some advantages, some disadvantages... Not enough to justify the price, not when I can get more for less from other offerings... The really sad thing is that after all this time, you still need people that "know more about printers" to tell you simple things you should have learned in your first few months... Yes, you are entertaining... Yes, you occasionally have some interesting bits to talk about... but as for helping people with printing? You are merely a "presenter"... not someone I would trust to tell me the real deal about printers and/ or give valid reviews beyond what the average new hobbyist might bumble through. It is actually somewhat painful to watch people in the commentary having to scream at you to complete the most basic tasks and maintenance...
great stream Joel thanks, and thanks to the mods :)
Yep the mods were great and extremely responsive
the link to Wuxn they only sell filament now, I;m guessing that printer was a not a success.
Poor connection, check again?
I understand things made in the USA is expensive compared to other countries but for the price I feel the bed print size should be 300^3. That LCD is really bad. That really needs upgrading something bad. Like some others have posted I'd rather get a Prusa MK3S for the price. I do however wish WUXN a lot of luck in their business.
$949 that is really pricey for such a tiny build area printer even if it is pre-build. My Tronxy X5SA 330 by 330 by 400 mm core xy upgraded printer cost only £309.00p in the UK. that's almost 3 times less than this printer for 3 times the print area! Hi 5 Joel from the UK .. Love the channel helps allot to see the 3D printing you do? Maybe you do a review of my upgraded Tronxy X5SA sometime? it has silent double Z axis stepper motors and a 24 Volt headed bed and 3.5 colour touch screen. I just updated the firmware thanks to Tronxy who sent me that so I could use the new Titan Extruder to soon try doing TPU filament I just got. I also brought a Stainless Steel Nozzle to let me do tough filaments like the ABS and the PETG I brought. Cheers for the UK.
Pully could have skipping in its ball bearing (RE the clicking noise), I had some cheap pulleys in my Ender 3 V2 that had a little click to it which it made at one point in its revolution. I replaced them with Gates pulleys.
I think I'll stick with my Biqu B1. Has it issues with fans, but you can't argue with the print quality at $249 roughly. £200 in the UK. And this one $949 for a 3D printed 3D printer. For a 3D printer that has a single Z motor like the B1, it should have had a rigid coupler?
It is funny you was all about noise on the Y axis, but only really could hear it because it didn't sound like a jet plane as the other printers normally do. I would have broken out the hair spray and made the bed 60, but the website says PRE-LEVEL'd ready to go out of the box. It seemed like the failure was a sticking problem.
They are still a new company, let's wish them luck to offer better products later and judge their products after testing it. Plus, Prusa took time to build a community and many other products before getting rewards for their MK3S. They need more feedbacks from us by chatting with their support team or social media. We 3D printing community encourage any company to offer their products like this one. Their Support team stated all 3D printed parts are included in the SD card and this product takes 10 to 14 days delivery time to Canada.
Cheers from Canada to USA people.
With X & Y having linear rails, they should have done the same on the Z axis. A dual motors on the Z axis would keep the Z axis more rigid. A solid coupler should have been installed. The coupler that is on the machine is mostly used for large motors to rip apart due to prevent the motor from burning up from over torquing or binding. You see those type of couplers on machine tools for the table/spindle motor.
16:20 Why does Joel have that weird little silicone hockey puck on his shirt?? That's beyond coincidence... Proof of Illuminati? I never would have expected he works for the CIA.
Hey Joel,
My IG was hacked and deleted. So if you see anything from CosplayCookingShow, that is me. Not someone posing as me!
Good morning Joel from Wisconsin
answer to gantry parallelism is adjust the eccentric nuts on the Z axis wheels, to tighten the rolling motion on the Z.
i have been trying to get on chat all night
Think you can make a go kart tire with a hard version of ninja flex, with rim made out of metal infused filament for rim. Maybe pause print to add wire to side wall. Or bicycle tire, power wheels tire?
Prusa mmu=prusa multi money units
pre upgraded ender3. not more really
Z axis coupler probably split when pulling out of box, maybe the weight of printer. If not maybe print some kind of clamp to hold together.
If you can move a compression fitting by hand, it's loose! Those set screws need to be torqued down with the long arm of the Allen wrench. Best wishes 🖐
could you fill the bed with copies of those items and if so how much longer will that take, is it just a multiply by the number of copies?
It was nice to see the set of allen keys in a nice 3D printed holder. They are often just loose in a bag. It levelled the bed the first time it was turned on so that wasn't the problem with the failed attempt to print the nut and bolt. When Joel let us listen for a clicking noise I thought I was hearing a noise that sounded like the fan blades rubbing against the fan shroud. At 1:01 you could see that part of the skirt wasn't stuck to the bed.
Younget an ender 3 below 200 now so i dont see the point really, it is nice but for 900+ i would buy a very good lda or sla printer
Klikking sound is the printer gone KuKu clock, ohh and Btw, watch out for the tweety bird every ½ hour :)
Great video Joel, That was my thoughts too when I did the Calicat on the Anet ET4... my didn't I do the Benchy...
kHz
That made in the USA sells me
why would you have linear rails for just 2 axis? Too expensive for a printer of that size build plate
Do you have a link to that print you did or is it just on that machine? That is a very nice print in the end, but that printer seems very price for what it is!
you are live and audio is good
I've used a lot of Paramount 3D filament if about a dozen rolls is a lot, and I am happy with it. They used to sell Pantone coded colors but I still see the same colors without the Pantone code. I only had a problem with one roll due to a broken seal and they sent me a new spool right away. The quality was always consistent and I never had to change settings to get good results, unlike with other brands that might have a 15 degree difference in print temp to get good results.
3:19:44 Is this you trying to copy AvE and his amazing camera focus abilities? You forgot to swear at the camera!
I don't use fans on the first layer. I find that it doesn't adhere to the build plate most of the time.
Joel Hi Five !
Prusa with extra parts.
Ender 3 + prusa = this printer
Prusa is the best ;p
I'm interested in this printer, but I don't think there is enough information on their website. Also googling them comes up with a different URL that doesn't resolve. I submitted some questions via their support, and I have not received a response. My questions are, are there, or will there be a larger option - maybe 300x300. Are there hotend options, or can you install your own alternate? They sell mosquito's on their website, so I thought maybe that would be an option over the copperhead... Also curious if the parts always come in purple. And also if we do want to make any mods, or need to replace a part, can we reprint the factory printed parts, or do we have to somehow order more from the manufacturer?
It takes time, but tbey replied to me: The printed part file come on the SD card that come with the WX1.
Shipping to Canada is usually 7-14 days
We are looking at adding Wifi in the future as many people are not setup for RJ45 Connections.
Thank You,
Team WUXN
Couldn't watch, but what's special about the Wuxn?
I think for the nut and bolt, 1st layer height was too great.
Go wildcats 😎💪
Even though I didn’t get much time in the stream, I really enjoyed it. It’s your enthusiasm as well as your 3D printing knowledge that makes you so successful on RUclips Joel. :) Long time fan, my first 3d printing experience and the reason I bought a mk3 Prusa kit a few years back as my first printer. 😁
Oh I had to fast forward some.of that....
3:18 to unpack and print a nut and bolt... How far is the local hardware shop lol...
One day they make make faster printers
Yeah, fast forwarding is key on the live stream playbacks
Yes dual z will help. Needs to have the bar perfectly level and not loose
Linear Rails (duel wide y) , filament run out senor, duel gear direct drive, silicon feet, BTT Turbo, noctua fan, static bed, ezabl system, duel fans, copperhead from slice, pei build surface, fuzzy skin 3d print parts.
Suppose so, it seems like a great printer! Still perfectly happy with my Prusa though so if I were to buy a second printer I think I’d keep it safe and stick with another Prusa kit. ;)
for abs toxic effect to go fast, drink milk and mineral water carbonated.
i had a dual z and i now have a single z wich im much more satisfied with
Tevo Tarantula Pro.. have never heard of the brand.. but cool!
Yay i can make copies of my keys without leaving the house
I like the T Shirt.
How many of us saw that adhesion failure before he did? Lol
Craftbot == Crapbot
Noooo... the stream chat ended.
Yep.
we will have to congregate here haha :)
@@SM3Dcreations yep lol
@@SM3Dcreations Did you see my comment above about Nylon K. Joel didn’t even know it existed when I told him in stream chat. 🤣
He had to end it though. He needed his well deserved rest.
Did anyone catch that the hex key holder was 3D printed?
Looks like xvico
that's pricey
Thanks so much for taking a look at our machine it means the world to us. Keep up the great work Joel your content is just amazing to watch!
What happened, I went to your site and no printer, just 2 kinds of filament ?
hey i have a problem with my octoprint and my i3 mega S . every now and then octopi losts connection to the printer. 4 month after printing without any issues. do you have any clue ?
Try the reddit prusa sub.
Wuxn the box?
The Ender 5 pro comes with the ball end hex keys
900$ for a prusa clone with linear rails 😒
Is that printer made of ABS or metal??
Can you please review or explain the Mimaki 3DUJ-553
