If you need someone to turn rain into sunshine - Hire Robert with his soothing voice! Thank you for this stormy sunshine video. Stay safe. Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.
Love Matlache. Fish House is Great. Buy their Fish Dip when they have it. Amazing !!! Thanks for the reminder of the best little town with a Key West vibe. Gotta go back ❤️🌴
I love this island l love the colours and the quirky shops. It's a beautiful location. Shame about the weather but at least you and your wife had a great relaxing weekend
My wife and I purchased a Townhouse in Cape Coral in 2019, we have been to Matlacha, walking the small shops and stopping with friends for a beer and burger! I love your videos, great job!
Alfred Wainwright, a British hiker, observed that there's no such thing as bad weather, just poor choice of clothing. When winds get above about 40 mph, though, the weather is a little bit bad.
I remember when you put this video out and thinking oh I definitely want to go there some day. Hurricane Ian just changed that forever. So sad. Thanks for showing it when you did.
Just want to say Thanks Robert. We’re here in Matlacha, having breakfast at “The Perfect Cup” per your visit. This place is adorable. We’re loving following in your footsteps. Thanks again!
I recently discovered Traveling Robert and his fabulous videos and music. Like him putting a sticker on each state he visits, I am going to post this comment on all the videos I watch! You da man, Robert!!
Great to see our old stomping ground outside our winter playground Cape Coral. Matlacha is a well preserved part of Florida you just don’t see much of anymore. Keep em coming brother!!
What a place to relax an indeed hidden Jem of a vacation hide away. Thank you Robert. I love the new route postings on your videos. For example I 75 Thanks for another bonus week.
Robert that was a nice getaway from our locked 🔒 down 305. Thanks to you just added Matlacha to our places to visit. Absolutely, the old Florida look and vibe. Thank You
Lived in Fort Myers 11 years! Thanks to your video, I found sugar sands! Had the opportunity to camp here! Thank you, Robert! Only 20 minutes away from home, but doesn't matter, I'm camping!
Hello Traveling Robert😊! Hey, you looked so relaxed in that hammock. So happy that you got away from home for a few days, in Paradise too! Great video Robert!
Thank you for the video. I’m on my lunch break at work and can not think of a better way to spend it, watching your videos. Love your videos and am looking forward to the next one.
My home town of Cape Coral! Wish I knew you were in town. I Came down from NYC in 2015 and never left. I call this area Florida’s best kept secret. I love it. Enjoy Amigo!
Hey, Robert! Just got back from a week on St George, at the Plantation. Boy was it ever hard to leave. We spent a night at the little Victorian B-n--B across the road from Carabelle Beach, too, next to the WWII museum. Very nice. I kept saying, "I hope we see Robert down here!" 😎👍🏼 THANK YOU, Florida, for keeping "hospitality" central to the stereotype of the deep south! We love you! ❤️
Hi Scotland 😁 America is so beautiful and many citizens havent explored, incl those you visited. Can see C19 motivating many to start road trips. RV sales have increased dramatically already. We are looking at v cruising. Happy days ahead. Sliante🥂👍
Hey Robert! I discovered that RV park from one of your earlier videos... I stayed there (same spot you were in) a few weeks later on June 20. Thankfully i had much better weather! Thanks for posting the videos about the area!
Boy Robert...you sure like those pelicans don't you? lol...lovin' all your videos...been great and I've discovered places I want to see...even ones near me that I didn't know existed...Canyon Lake in Arizona was so beautiful...I've lived here since I was 6...I am 45 and I never even knew that was here! THANK YOU!
Love your videos! It's certainly easy to see why Florida continues to be very high in COVID19 cases. Everyone (at least in my area of Georgia) wears masks in public and most restaurants either have tables blocked off or have barriers between the booths. Hope you are staying safe Robert! Bless you!
Excellent point kristina... it is becoming clear that Masks, when out in public is what is needed to turn this horror show around. Europe seems to have figured it out.
Good morning, Robert. I visited the island, Cape Coral once and remember the area you stayed at. It is very quaint, peaceful and definitely old Florida. I love it. Always great programs that have a very calming effect. Thank you, Robert. Have fun and stay safe, my friend.
I like your attitude.. positive and relaxed. The town does look lovely I hope to be in that area in a few weeks thanks for showing me what it looks like this year! The ice cream looks yummy!
We love Cape Coral it's just a cross the state from us. My wife's Aunt lived over there for many years and we visited quite often. Matlacha is a wonderful area with many many gift shops.
Thanks for sharing Robert! I always liked rain, no matter where I was in the country, but it can be hell to drive through, especially towing a trailer. South Florida is one of the few regions I haven't made it to yet (diving the Keys is on my list), so I'm realky enjoying this video. Cheers!
Yo Rob, small trailer like yours, less than 20' long, you don't need the anti-sway/weight distribution. Less extra steps to setup and take down. Of course, if your truck is a half-ton or higher, that would be even better. Just a thought. I am looking at one like yours, 1708FB without a slide, but it has east-west bed. I prefer north-south walk-around bed, but it comes with a slide and 2' longer (2106FBS). Tough choice.
Estupendo lugar, a pesar del tiempo. Gracias por tus vídeos, llevamos toda la cuarentena disfrutándolos. Felicidades atrasadas por tú cumpleaños. Greetings from Spain😜
Matlacha is my favorite place in the whole world! I go to ft myers beach cape coral twice a year to visit my dad, love that place! You got to try Bert's bar and grill next time you go, best seafood ever.
I camped on Pine Island years ago and was thinking about taking my rv there but the campground you stayed at was so much better. I'll have to look into it when I head to Fl.
Robert, you’re the only person that pronounces Matlacha right.we are S. Florida Winnie people two and enjoy your videos bunch. Keep up the good work...
Thank you Robert for sharing a mid week video, such a blessing! Looks like a fabulous spot you have there. Stay safe! Here in Ontario Canada we heard that the virus is surging again in Florida, I pray that this will not hang around for long. Safe travels as always. We will be waiting for the Friday chat.
TR, I am a first time visitor to your show and enjoyed my visit! I like your laid back style and attitude! I will be looking forward to your next show!
I really gotta check out that little island. Like you said at the beginning, I usually just drive through on my way to pine island. Blink and you miss it.
We live nearby this area. It is a wonderful place to visit. During that trip you visited one of the best restaurants. Micellies, another is the Yucatan. Outdoor seating right on the bay. Love your videos! They are so nice, and relaxing. The best wishes to you and your lady. Stay safe, and keep having fun🙂😉. Thank you for the videos!
Hi Robert. I just discovered your channel a few days ago! I love your travels and our new to us TT is very similar to your rig. We had to stop camping about 20 years ago and with this quarantine we are ready to get back on the road to nature. Love your way of making coffee. Looking forward to adventures of our own.
Robert, you should try out what they call a “Zero-G” water hose, we use it on our RV. Never kinks, no struggling to coil it up like with the standard rubber hoses. They are blue as well so easy to identify as a drinking water only hose. I think it would make a nice addition to your new filtration setup. They are on Amazon for about $29 i think.
As a dutchie watching this I was like "omg, where is the flood protection??? that whole island looks like it will submerge during a surge tide..." Seriouly, how do they stay dry?
Being in the intercoastal I guess would give them some protection from the worst of a storm surge, but I would build on stilts like they do in the Florida Keys and the Florida Panhandle coast.
This looks like a old school little place. And yes, it will flood. It has probably flooded many times during a hurricane. Living on the Gulf of Mexico can be an adventure. You prepare and plan for the storms. Board up and secure everything and get out of Dodge before the big ones. It is charming.
If you need someone to turn rain into sunshine - Hire Robert with his soothing voice! Thank you for this stormy sunshine video. Stay safe. Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.
Thanks for a 20 minute break from reality mid week. More fun to Fantasize about RV travel than going to work.
That Malache is truly paradise.
can see why florida is a hot spot
Love Matlache. Fish House is Great. Buy their Fish Dip when they have it. Amazing !!! Thanks for the reminder of the best little town with a Key West vibe. Gotta go back ❤️🌴

That's for sure.
@@TravelingRobert I'm not sure Robert Knows how to do Nothing. LOL. 🌴😎
Alfred Wainwright, a British hiker, observed that there's no such thing as bad weather, just poor choice of clothing. When winds get above about 40 mph, though, the weather is a little bit bad.
@@TravelingRobert Do you have a store where you sell t-shirts and hats etc?
@@stevensaxon8888 Yes I do
Your trailer is so perfect. It's not too big nor small. It's just the perfect size for solo or two persons i like it a lot...
hriattea ralte It’s the perfect size trailer and tow vehicle. The Colorado is the perfect size truck. Big enough to tug and small enough to park.
I remember when you put this video out and thinking oh I definitely want to go there some day. Hurricane Ian just changed that forever. So sad. Thanks for showing it when you did.
Regreso a Matlacha, un paraíso ! gracias Señor Robert.
Just want to say Thanks Robert. We’re here in Matlacha, having breakfast at “The Perfect Cup” per your visit. This place is adorable. We’re loving following in your footsteps. Thanks again!
I like your flag shirt made up of RVs. Very cool!
Just what the Dr. ordered for the for the mid-week. A good dose of Traveling Robert. The perfect lazy day island time episode!
Looks like a very nice place to stay and relax thanks Robert

Wear your masks even if it isn't mandated or we will never get rid of this virus!!!
Please wake up.
Please put some rain X on the windshield. You will hardly need wipers.
used to fish from the bridge in Matlacha when I lived down there, thx for bringing me back to some good times Rob!!
