Robert seems to be the perfect tour traveler guide, the traveling chef and the epicurean disciple. He takes us places we've never been, gives us the images we want to see, explain in details the history behind the scenes, and enjoys himself at the different locations visited -- and he does so in his eloquent use of the English language and a taste to impress.
My Aunt Jean Chimpkey, was a waitress most of her adult life at the Pier Restaurant in Flagler Beach. She lived a block or so just across A1A from the Pier Restaurant. She spent a lot of time walking along the beach and could hear the ocean from her house. She had a friend who owned a Dune Buggy, and they went everywhere in it. After she passed away years ago, we sold the house to a neighbor. We only visited her a couple of times, so looking at the pictures of Flagler Beach are almost new to me. Thank you, Robert, for this sweet memory of when Aunt Jean was still with us. I think several hurricanes have caused damage to the restaurant, so don't know if its still there. Stay safe and healthy on your travels, Robert. DBB, USA
I know that restaurant. It is called the funky pelican and in January of 2022 I visited it and ate there. I love Flagler beach. It's probably one of the most iconic spots I've visited in Florida. I'm sorry to hear she passed.
I just returned to work a couple of days ago after being out since before Christmas due to testing positive for covid, and watching your videos was what kept me sane through quarantine. And while I’ve been working, I’ve found myself replaying the RV song in my head (and out loud a few times) over and over and it somehow has made time pass by quicker and made things easier. I don’t remember how I stumbled on your channel, but I’m glad I did! Great content all around.
Robert, my favorite place in Florida is Vero Beach. I was there 25 years ago. It was so relaxed and we had the most beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean from our motel

Great video Robert, my wife and I are from Miami, and we took a trip to Flagler beach in the early 90’s,and we fell in love with the Flagler beach area, we thought it had a great old Florida vibe to it as well and we loved it so much we moved there in 1995 and we are still here in 2024. I sure enjoyed your Florida road trip. It was very relaxing for me to follow along with you on the trip and you did all the driving and walking for me. Never made it to South Florida as my wife had numerous times when she was a kid. When our kids were young Florida was the destination every year, and eventually we ventured to see other parts of the country. I remember driving highway 1 but only as far south as Melbourne. I once drove highway 98 from the Tampa area to Pensacola taking highway 98 and seeing a very different look of Florida. You are very good narrating your videos including the food selection. From St. Louis
Next time you are in the Appalachia Cola area, check out St. George Island State Park. Great camping spots and very isolated. The beach in the park is rated in the top 5 beaches.
I love your videos and commentary. You're real about things and I only have 1 small thing. You never say anything bad or bad about your expediencies. You're maybe too nice at times. But over all you are a great envoy to RV traveling.
"Pretty strong rip currents"...I was very familiar with Gamble Rogers music. He died getting caught in a rip current trying to save a drowning person at this beach. Thus the name of the State Park.
I want to thank you, Robert for your wonderfully entertaining videos. Especially the ones from Florida. Until this lousy pandemic came about, my wife and I would vacation in Florida at least twice a year. It is our favorite destination and escape from the cold Canadian north. (I detest snow!) The main thing I find so fascinating about Florida is although it is one state, it has vastly different terrains. The east coast beaches and sites are very much different from the gulf coast. And it's hard to believe that places like Orlando and Disney are in the same state as the Everglades. Worlds so far apart. And my personal favorite, the Florida Keys. So much like a string of tiny Caribbean Islands. I know some may not agree, but to me Florida is magical and has so many things to offer. I'll never tire of it. Now if only I could get back to it.

Glad you showed the state park in Flagler as we have an RV and will be going back to FL next fall. I also enjoy the Jacksonville Beach/Neptune area on the Atlantic and Crystal River/Cedar Key on the Gulf for that region. Many other places are wonderful, too!

Thanks Robert for that excellent trip...Here from Florida, I have been to most of the places that you visited, but the ones that I have not, your trip gave a good look at them, they will go on my list and hopefully I can visit those places during 2012...Great video.

It's nice to re-visit Florida with you when the weather here in California is kinda lousy. Wow, all those crabs on the property you were checking out...creepy but fascinating at the same time!
Finn's rooftop looks terrific!
I miss not being over by St Augustine as Crescent Beach, drive on access, is a favorite of mine. I’ve been staying inland around the Ocala area where more affordable rv spots are available, at least with a lease, at resorts with fairly nice amenities. 🦩
Thanks Robert for that excellent trip...Here from Florida, I have been to most of the places that you visited, but the ones that I have not, your trip gave a good look at them, they will go on my list and hopefully I can visit those places during 2012...Great video.
Oh my gosh Robert. I winter in Fernadina Beach and we go to St. Augustine quite often, and we actually sat at that same table as you at the Sangria bar. LOL Great show, and I love East Florida. I am leaving tomorrow and driving down. Love your cooking spots also.
These videos are fun to watch!
En Puerto Rico dicen que las playas tienen su "periodo" durante los messes del verano. I imagine Florida beaches would be the same on the Atlantic side as well!!
That sugar mill looks like a movie set. 🎬🎥🎬
Hello from California! Just got hooked on your videos. Can’t wait to hit the road with new truck and see our beautiful country.
I just noticed that you were swimming in the pool with your glasses on! You crack me up Sir! 😂
I used to have an extended shank WD hitch. The trailer salesman suggested it because I was towing with a Ford Bronco. He said I needed clearance for the swinging spare tire and the tailgate. Damn he was right!!
