If you drive drunk, I pray you get caught and arrested before you kill someone and or yourself. I pray no one has to ever suffer the loss of a dear one. On 4/25/2001 my father was killed instantly by a multiple repeat offender drunk driver who fell asleep while driving on the freeway, careened off of a guardrail, then shot across the center divide, and hit my father's vehicle head on, killing my dad instantly. It happened so fast he never even hit his brakes. Gone forever. He did nothing wrong. He was 67. Perfect health. Less than two years into his retirement after 30 years as a police officer. Robbed of the golden years of his life.

My brother is an alcoholic. When he's drunk he's the biggest a-hole, but when sober the nicest guy you would ever meet. So far he has never been caught for a DUI,, but he usually doesn't drive (except on rare occasions). I used to be a social drinker, and I drove when I should of taken a cab, but that was years ago.
Lucky for us it's 2023 and we no longer enforce laws . Here in Illinois I can get cracked with a DUI and walk out a hour later with no bail . After this I don't show up for court , I get a warrant for this and if busted I am out a hour later , no bond . I can do this for years as I haven't been convicted of any thing . And if busted for driving on a suspended licence same deal . In fact the only way to get me detained in jail is to face a capital first degree murder charge, second degree murder , armed robbery , home invasion , armed assault , aggravated assault , grand theft are not good enough and you go through the same process, blow off court appearances for years . This is why we have 18 year old's with 12 felony convictions out on the streets . Did I mention that carjacking armed or otherwise fall under the no bail rules . If you take away the courts ability to jail people arrested for crimes the law means nothing , and protecting the general public is not a concern . This is what you voted for.

Who said it was 100% alcohol? It was probably 80 proof (~40%), or maybe even 100 proof (~50%). And 7 ounces is somewhere between 2 and 3 cocktails.

I totally stopped drinking when I got my cancer diagnosis. Now I wonder when God will call me home.
At least our heavenly home will never have cancer!
You should enjoy your remaining time on earth. Drink whatever amount you like... it's not like it's going to shorten your life, right?
