Kiko loureiro com seu dom ainda consegue me por p cima em dias meio cinzas..pois em meados de 97/98 passei por uma depressão pesada..e nunca abri nem para meus pais na época... quando eu conheci o Angra...quando eu ouvia ele solar aquilo me trazia uma alegria meio inexplicável que de alguma maneira salvou a minha vida naquela época... e me lembro que a tristeza simplesmente foi embora..

One of my regret is when in my heavy metal phase I didn't study Kiko. His techniques is flawless!

Tenho essa young guitar ,na real foi onde mais te conheci,apesar do som q vc diz q foi de qualquer jeito oque mais me chamou a atenção foi o emblema da marca Marshall kkkkk então estou no Japão até hoje ,enviei uma you guitar com você na capa para um amigo do Maranhão,ele foi ver show do Angra lá e levou p vc assinar ..você eh o cara orgulho do Brasil .valeu Kiko!

May be this video was taken during a critical situation, but be sure Kiko that's one of your best worldwide videos, and i remember when i saw it the first time in 2002 in morocco, it was unbelivable, it blow my mind until now, thank you kiko for this amazing improvisation.

Cobain 92 Little did I know he was going to be in Megadeth, but am I glad he is! I adore Kiko so much. I got to meet him and hang with him at Megadeth bootcamp last year. He’s so down to earth and kind! When I first got there I was really shy, because Megadeth is my number one favorite band. He & David Ellefson were standing there so I asked if I could take a picture with them and of course they both were cool and said sure. (The picture turned out really cool, by the way! Lol) After I was done taking the picture I told kiko that he inspired me to play guitar. He seemed really shy that day so he just grinned and said thank you. Little did I know, he was going to talk to me all about playing guitar at Megadeth Camp since I kept getting sat right next to him. He even let me be on his instagran story. I still feel so cool when I remember that I got to hangout with him for 3 days at Dave Mustaine’s house!

Kiko is a beast man , there is not any guitar techniques left for him to master he can play anything , such a versatile player and a guitar monster .
LOL! Funny how you react to this Kiko. However, when my friends and I first watched this performance of yours and "Dream Circle," around that era, we were instantly inspired. We still talk about in regards to this video to this day. It is one of the most legendary performances that inspired myself and my other guitar buddies. You rule Kiko!

This performance was the first "out of this earth" thing I ever watched after I started to play guitar. You played couple of songs and only one ended up on an album. But this one still has lots of energy and I would love to see it/hear in soon :)
I remember also when you introduced the new singer at the end of the video. Both of you looked very nervous in front of the camera.

Mas agora entendo o motivo de você me ignorar ao longo desses quase 20 anos quando vou nos seus shows e grito: "Toca Dream Circle!". Algumas vezes você até chegou a olhar na minha cara e dar um sorriso, mas ignorou mesmo assim. Parece que ela te relembra certos traumas HAHAHA De qualquer forma, amo sua performance no CD da Zoom Challenge, no DVD Técnica e Versatilidade, mas minha performance preferida dessa música é essa aí da entrevista pra Young Guitar. Essa música continua sendo inspiração demaaaaais. Obrigado!

Hey Kiko! This video was the first time I ever saw you. I had just started to play guitar and was listening to Angela Batio, Paul Gilbert etc., and then in some magazine I read your name and searched about you and this was the video that came up. It mind blowing and I got the whole young guitar video. I can't imagine that you did all the different tappings and other things without being prepared for it. And this young guitar is where I first saw somebody tapping with all 4 fingers.
So your young guitar video was the most Important video for me during those days. I means I still go back to it so many times.

It's funny for me to watch Kiko reacting to this video because i remember i dowloaded this video on kazaa and since then i felt in love with him...for me kiko is one of the greatest...period!!!!
I salute you kiko because that time you were not thinking about playing but somehow you played with just a tube screamer straight to marshall and still you have good tone and flawless playing. Everyone cant play with same feeling in absence of their gear and in such situation, i have seen many players failed!

Ah! I remember that video was the first time I saw you playing guitar. Until today I thought you were really into JCM900s and that was "your" tone, really cool to hear the backstory to that.... needless to say, you did an amazing job on those takes, I've been a fan since then.

Rhys G I'd say best guitarist in the world is Syu from Galneryus. Writes killer songs, plays killer guitar. Kiko is close behind him.
Rhys G He said at Megadeth bootcamp that his favorite song to play is Tornado of Souls! He said he loves playing that solo. I can’t blame him. That’s my favorite solo of all time! I even have a video of him playing it in full at megadeth bootcamp! After he was done he said “oh, that was bad. I messed up” and Dave Mustaine turned and looked at him and gave him this ridiculous look like “seriously?!!” Lol we gave Kiko that look, because he didn’t miss a single note on that solo and he said it was bad! Lol

Eu me lembro dessa musica de um cd que vinha junto com as pedaleiras zoom. Meu primeiro pedal, uma zoom 505. Era um cd com musicas do Kiko e do Edu Ardanuy. Tinha umas 2 musicas de cada. E as mesmas músicas somente backtrack.

I think that was already the seasoned Kiko !!! Seen you playing a short acoustic gig with Andre Matos in FNAC in France, and also play at festival Printemps de Bourges (with Vanden Plas and Dream Theater) in 1996. You were still like a newborn star!
First album Angel's Cry was actually an instant hit in France in metal genre, a fresh breath on things done by Helloween for instance, which paved the way for bands like Rhapsody, Sonata Arctica or Dragonforce.
As regards this improvisation, I wish there was as much brasilian flow in your playstyle with Megadeth as this in next album, it would make it so interesting !
this has been a Kiko week lol, I have watched I think almost all of the tour vids you posted? very insightful and generous of you to open your private time and thoughts about playing, prep work, relaxing, and touring. I have learned a lot in the past week all good, one you are an amazing guitarist, and wow, not many would share as much as you have! Well, just sending some thank you's ! I think, that was a stellar performance. Amazing picking technique, cool phrases, high energy playing and for the fact that you just had this improvised setup, it was a great tone, too.
Me lembro que tocava Dream Circle todos os dias. Foi aí que aprendi a tocar de verdade mesmo.
Kiko, it really doesn’t matter whether you’re playing your rig or not. It would absolutely still sound phenomenal! That’s how great you are! Everything you touch turns to gold, so to speak. That 2001 performance still sounded very YOU, despite using someone else’s rig. \m/
