    I have watched for a long time and love the recipes and visuals for cooking. But what i love more is being aware that at one time you would say you have lost " over 100 pounds" to then "130 pounds" to now "almost 140 pounds" THIS is sooo inspiring and keeps me coming back. You are proof that this really works. ❤

    I just finished making these Anita and they're yummy. I had bought a block of Asiago cheese from a Loblaws and shredded part of it in my food processor. It's quite a strong cheese and tasted wonderful. Imagine you, getting out a video like this with all that's going on in your life with the move to Victoria! Your new place looks wonderful BTW.

    These were terrific! I doubled the recipe to make 12 in my regular muffin pan with a few adjustments: Parmesan instead of mozzarella; 2 tsp rosemary; 2 tablespoons heavy cream; tablespoon crumbled goat cheese. I also needed to bake 38 minutes in my oven. Thank you, thank you for the great recipe. I now have breakfast for the next five days (after freezing some, of course).

    I make my own cottage cheese. Basically, it's like making ricotta. It is SO much better than store bought, and much easier than I thought it would be. Plus, I frozen the extra cheese and it thawed out just fine. Finding cream without the additives is really difficult. I'm going to try a powdered heavy cream I saw online.

      U can do a Bain Marie in ur oven
      Put a 9x13 pan on oven rack when it’s preheated n set filled silicone pan in it. Pour in boiling water about half way up the silicone sides. Push rack into oven and bake.
      It basically keeps them moist whole time, like steaming almost.

    Starbucks Bacon Gruyere Egg Bites are so yummy! I used to imagine they were low carb, but since it's Starbucks, of course they're not. Each little one is 9g of carbs. There are 2 in an order and they're small bite sized. In a pinch, it's probably your best bet there for lower carb choices. I can't wait to try this recipe.

    • @KetogenicWoman

      There are 9 grams of carbs in an order of 2. The carbs are from cottage cheese(probably low-fat, which means more carbs) and xanthan gum.

      @@infinitespiritsongs9722 That just made my day! I looked at the Starbucks nutritional info page and in big letters they say 1 piece. I guess I thought it meant there were 2 servings?

      @infinitespiritsongs9722 Год назад +1

      You’re welcome. I was confused at first myself. I asked the manager of my local Starbucks and I was told 2 bites definitely are considered a serving size. There is a tiny bit of starch in the them but it’s almost the last ingredient. Not 100 percent clean but considering other options available it’s not bad when needing something on the go.

      So weird to read Starbucks Menu… they have Eggwhite Wrapped in high carb bread or bun…. Can’t customise to remove them and only order the contents??…They think they are being healthy taking the most nutrient dense part of the egg out and still giving out stodgy bread wrap or buns!! Oh Lordy the fast food industry sure has a long way to go!! People should be able to customise everything not just the some of their ingredients. They cook eggs and meat, so why not offer them on their own as a choice? I don’t go to fast food places, but I think people who do should have full choices.

      @@KetogenicWoman homemade cottage cheese is 1 gallon whole fat milk (ultra pasteurized is not my choice but it works) warmed to 190 degrees the temp cannot reach boiling. ,. Take off heat and then add either3/4 cup vinegar or fresh squeezed lemon juice and Redmonds salt. Let it sit undisturbed and then drain the whey from the curds through a cheesecloth set in a colander over a large bowl. save the whey. . Then add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of heavy cream to the cooled curds. Then make ricotta from the drained whey. Nothing goes to waste. The prep and cook takes about 25 minutes and about 2 1/2 hours total with the cooling. Let me know if you try this. It's pretty fool proof. 1 gallon make about 1 1/2 to 2 cups. It all depends on the quality of the whole milk. ❤❤ BTW if you have a nearby dairy, see if they will sell you raw milk. I recently sold my dairy goat ranch so I've been making cheese for a long time.

      Ugh! Not surprised actually! Another commenter told me they are 9 carbs each. Double Ugh! Mine are 0.5 carbs each so sticking to those!

    Wow, 140 lbs! Do you have before and after pictures? (I went from just over 200 (210?) and I'm now at 140. So up to 70 lbs. And it wasn't on purpose; it was a side-effect of going on the keto diet, which I did to treat seizures. (and it's working great!))

      Yes, almost every current video starts out with my before pics. Congrats on the 70lbs!

    Can’t wait to try these. I tried the cottage cheese ice cream. ☹️ It was NOT even close to ice cream. It broke my heart! 😂 I truly miss ice cream. But I think I may be able to use cottage cheese in these with no problem and I was also thinking in chaffles/waffles to add protein. I am apparently not eating enough to lose weight. So disappointing but I haven’t given up HOPE! Thank you so much for this recipe.

      I just love icecream, and missed it so much! Now I make super simple iceream with just whipped eggwhites and whipped cream. Whip seperately. Add sweetener and flavor, and blend. I use either vanilla, lemondrops or decaf powder. All are delicious. The icecream is just a tiny bit granulated. But the porsjon size is ready to eat after 2 hours in the freezer, and after 5 minutes out of the freezer. Try 2 eggwhites and one cup of cream. But you can vary quite a bit if you wish to. More eggwhites makes it more sorbet like. It is super quick, and really tasty A tip for whipping eggwhites: jjust add a pinch of salt and they are ready in no time! Promise!
      Best wishes with the icecream and the carnivore diet 😊

    Why are the Carbs so high per egg bite? Eggs,cheese, bacon… are minimal carbs… maybe swap the cottage cheese for Sour cream to make lower carb count?
    I will mix in a bowl by hand ( hate washing that blender jug 😩) and bake in the Microwave ( max 3 mins on 50% power then check… in my 1000 watt MW ) with a sprinkle of Paprika on top….Thanks for sharing. ❤

      The are only 0.5 carb per egg bite! I don't consider that too high I guess!

      Yes, they were the perfect texture, the ricotta didn't quite do it for me.

      It only made 2 svgs lol
      Each bite only has 1/2 an egg in it plus the cottage cheese
      I eat 3 bites for 1 svg.

    How long can one store these in the fridge? Don't suppose you know if you can freeze them? The recipe looks great! I just want to be able to meal prep mass quantities.

    • @KetogenicWoman
      @KetogenicWoman  10 месяцев назад

      I usually just make 1 batch and they re gone quick. But treat them like you would treat a leftover omelet for example, so in the fridge for 3-4 days is fine. The silky texture inside might be affected by freezing though.
